  1. Oh thank god for that, I was hoping that they would open a clothes shop on the OLM, I was really struggling to buy clothes on the new development
  2. So did Miller and Carter, before declaring that they couldn't and would be sourcing it from around the country
  3. I'm pretty sure that it would still be illegal in some roundabout way. Especially if the shop gave no alternative.
  4. I had one tell me to put the items in the bag and then tell me unexpected item in the bagging area.
  5. In other news, I have a bag of grass rotting in my garage - can't go in the bin, can't go in the recycling, rubbish men won't take it. So.... it's still there, stinking the place out. If I'm expected to drive to the tip to dispose of it, they then can expect an invoice to my time and fuel.
  6. It's because they are refusing to collect the waste in a timely fashion so it will be laying rotting in peoples houses - which means people will leave the bags outside, then it will rot, maggot and breed on the streets. When my bin comes, is it MY bin? can I sell it? Or is it the councils? Because if it's still the councils bin, the minute my rubbish goes in it becomes their property and as far as I'm concerned, if it isn't removed, I'll put in a complaint for fly tipping outside my house. This crap about the lid being closed is bullshit, if they refuse to collect the rubbish and, in turn, forces excess waste into a container that is too small, how the hell can they leave it? Leaving it just adds to the next lot of waste. WE PAY THE MONEY, DO THE ******* JOB
  7. Self Service tills are just another example of the public paying for a service that they aren't getting. We constantly pay more and more yet are expected to process our own shopping, cut our own grass, dispose of our own waste... It's a ******* joke
  8. COUNCILLOR PREECE, do you want to get off your fat ass and answer the question? After all, you were the one dealing with BB and the non issue of grass fire. That's right, you people only show your faces when it benefits your agenda, you couldn't give two shits about actually engaging with the constituents or dealing with actual issues.
  9. In the Hereford Times this week(?) there's a piece on the new black bins that will be delivered and a picture of some **** councillor. It states - and is corroborated on the council website*, that these black wheelie bins must; Not exceed 4 black bags Each black bag to not exceed 15kg Each bag should not exceed 410 x 760 x 915mm Are you having a f+">:** laugh? Can we get some councillor's input on this please? Maybe the bellend in the paper who thinks this is a good idea. 4 black bags per FORTNIGHT, some families have that per week, this is absolutely ridiculous. And let me guess, if we exceed the "limits" you'll leave the rubbish on our doorstep with a note, leaving it for 4 weeks just to refuse it again because now it's double. I tell you what, my rubbish goes in my bin, I pay you pricks to collect it, if you refuse to collect it, I'll be making missed rubbish calls to get you back out and that's going to start to cost you a hell of a lot more. Also, as I never had response to this before, explain to me what's going to happen as central government are planning to make fortnightly collections illegal. * https://www.herefordshire.gov.uk/environmental-protection/waste-management/refuse-household-bin-collection/alternate-weekly-bin-collections
  10. And, while I'm not a fan of drugs, use of cannabis has been associated with creativity and wildly used among artists in many indujstries, without them we wouldn't have half of the creative culture that we do, from music to the works of Lewis Carol.
  11. I absolutely agree, I don't smoke either, but the benefits of cannabis - from medicinal to manufacturing (hemp) FAR out weight the negatives. Cannabis is not addictive (the mixed tobacco is the addictive element) and it does not "lead" to harder drugs. Use of harder drugs is a consequence of social culture and personal temperament. Compare weed to alcohol. You don't overdose on weed, weed has shown anti-cancer properties, no rape, no hangover, no public order offences, no violence, hemp can be used to make things from paper to clothes. Weed causes no impact to the NHS, alcohol... well, you know. The World Health Organisation (WHO) report that 3.3 MILLION people die PER YEAR due to alcohol There have been 0* deaths due to smoking cannabis..... EVER. But of course, the alcohol industry is worth £38.1 BILLION per year just in the UK. IF weed were legalised, the only benefactors would be the energy companies - whose demand would rocket. * After the Colorado decriminalisation of cannabis, a study concluded that 2 people died as the result of using cannabis. One with a pre-existing heart condition and the second with a history of hard drug abuse.
  12. Everyone? :P And they go mental if you're in it by 2 inches even if most of it is empty - and they'll box you in to teach you a lesson
  13. I saw a big stack of poppies that had grown through the wild grass, by the city wall I think. Clearly it was wild, but it did look quite nice :P
  14. I know a shop down Eign Gate that periodically open their fire escape .... eagerly. I mean, there shouldn't be anything parked across it ... right? ;)
  15. The trick is that they stay in the car, if the handbreak isn't on, technically you're "stopped" not "parked" ;)
  16. If they want positive news in the media then they should do something that warrants it and stop lying, cheating and stealing. As much as I loathe the HT, I hope they make more effort to dig into this ridiculous council and tear it to shreds
  17. Oh Hereford in Bloom... that explains why they left the grass and pretty weeds to grow to long, they were going for a win
  18. Thanks. I'll have a better look next time I'm passing through :) Ref the ones in the middle of the road, iirc, the schematics and designs released showed them as being bike lockups
  19. How is this not illegal? Imagine going into a shop, giving them a £20 note for a packet of £4.50 cigarettes and them refusing to give you the change. The price of the ticket is advertised on the machine, taking more money than is due must be legally questionable?
  20. I haven't no, I will keep it in mind though :)
  21. You can see it here https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.0574557,-2.7197556,291m/data=!3m1!1e3 The new layout just adds the addition 3rd lane facing Tesco. The rest remains the same. So here you can see and follow the lanes around. 3rd becomes 1st, 4th becomes 2nd (and no optionally 3rd slip in new layout) Maybe a little clearer here: http://binged.it/WOAGjJ
  22. No it's definitely right :) The 3rd lane approaching the roundabout becomes lane 1 facing tesco bus exit. The 4th lane approaching becomes the middle lane facing tesco The 3rd lane facing tesco (whitecross) is an addition - like a "slip" road/lane Colins post was based on the older layout. With the new layout the 4th lane puts you in A49S right (Belmont) with the option to change lanes into the 3rd/R for whitecross
  23. You'd go (Lanes numbered X of Y, Left to Right): Bridge and Ross Road: Out Side Steels 2/2 Approachine Roundabout: 3/4 Tesco Bus Entrance 1/3 You'll now be in the left lane of the A49 Soundbound for Ross Bridge and Belmont/Asda: Out Side Steels 2/2 Approaching Roundabout: 4/4 Tesco Bus Entrance 2/3 You'll now be in the right lane of the A49 southbound for Asda/Belmont For Whitecross/back to Steels Out Side Steels 2/2 Approaching Roundabout: 4/4 Tesco Bus Entrance 3/3 You'll now be able to peel off down to Whitecross
  24. Haven't got time to read it all but quickly; I doubt that you believe that McDonalds is a popular haunt for anyone over 60 :P I've never had a HOT sub :P Let's not forget, in the past, these hot food places HAVE been open later - the chip shops, the chinese and kebab houses of Bridge Street. And they all survived! (Obviously Bridge Street is derelict now) In fact, there used to be A LOT more food places than we even have trading now. Union Street had about 5 kebab/burger places, Bridge Street, Commerical Road... and they never struggled for business! The big difference now - nighclubs are serving hot food. It's in the interest of the nightclubs to prohibit the sale of hot food away from it's own premises. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the nighclubs have a council backed monopoly on hot food. And, as we know, this is against anti-competition laws and monopoly laws.
  25. If I recall correctly, it was, during a secret meeting despite the HA specifically stating that it wasn't necessary as part of their work. I'm sure someone like Millililiiggalamand, who likes digging through archives :), will have the relevant source.
