  1. According to facebook via the HT, they sold the club for £1 lol
  2. I'm sure it has been reduced, however, this tool is claiming that they have no money because the costs outweigh what they get in council tax. I want to see the relationship between costs and how much they get in TOTAL, from CT, government, grants, sales, rents etc It's the same as Richard Branson saying "I can't afford to live, I only get a salary of £650/month"
  3. Bullshit. Now include all of the money issued by central government. Is this prick putting intentional spin on things or did someone give the job to a complete ******* moron
  4. The Journal was great, the HT certainly won't be getting my news or advertising fee's. Of course, this probably now makes us the only city in the world that has just one newspaper... which, if fee-ona was still around would be free reign to up the price again
  5. Stupidly enough, it warns that if it's pushed back and hidden (to indicate that it doesn't need emptying) ... that they won't empty it lol I didn't pay too much attention to it, just opened the lid of the recycling and popped it inside so that it may be recycle and issued to warn someone else :)
  6. I saw smackheads outside those toilets today. There was also a queue of 11 people in tescos waiting for the toilet because they had broke and only the disabled one was available. Finally had a pi*% in Maylords
  7. Indeed, but like I saw, there's been a sudden increase of real homeless people visible in town the last couple of weeks. I know what you mean by sofa surfers and street drinkers, but these people are out in the rain, sitting corners, very clearly "proper" homeless. Somewhat annoyingly, every time I plan to do something they foil my plans. I was going to buy one a coffee, until I saw 5 coffee cups in front of him, another was going to have my umbrella as I walked past, yet she was sitting there with her own... don't these people want help!!! heh
  8. Also, I think I've mentioned before that they repeatedly fail to take my recycling bin even though it's on the edge of the driveway.... well this week, there wasn't much in it, so I pushed it right to the back, right down the side of the house - they emptied it and issued me with a yellow ticket warning lol
  9. The trouble is dippy that this will set a precedent and the council will be ecstatic at the fact that they can charge us for a service and not bother to do because someone else will get fed up and do it for them. They need to be held accountable, whether that means paying such local businesses to maintain the work or coming and doing it themselves. If every maintains their council areas of grass, the council are getting off scott free. Jim Kenyon should send them a ******* invoice.
  10. Cutting waste collection by 50% just before Christmas - sounds ideal... stupidfrustration, I'm afraid I can't agree with you, the money IS there, it's just very badly managed, tied up in unchecked contracts and in the wrong place. I mean come on, they spent 7 grand of the social care budget and kept 300,000 claiming it wasn't needed - all the while social care struggles and food banks are begging outside supermarkets. Cut services, fine, but don't ******* expect me to pay MORE for the privilege.
  11. The way I see it, if it was never alive and it's dry, it goes in the recycling bin :P
  12. Wait what? So why did HH get involved at all? If they can cut some random peoples grass they can come and cut mine!!
  13. Ah I see, so they own the buildings but not the grounds? In that case, more shame on the council and great PR on the part of HH. And no, they shouldn't do it again because this stinks of classic association, if people keep doing the job for the council, the council will think they don't need to bother. Ref BB, I've said it before and I'll say it again, if someone is not providing the service they are paid to do, action needs to be taken
  14. Surely it's in the interests of HH to maintain and look after their own product? That's like a furniture shop never hoovering or dusting.
  15. Maybe Bobby is the new head of the HT!
  16. This seemed like the most relevant place to ask without making a new thread. I went out at 8am this morning, the traffic was backed up Ross Road past Grafton/Ambulance Station, backed up past Tesco on Belmont and beyond and backed up down Holme Lacy road. Was it just worst today or is it always like that? I only ask as I rarely go out at that time, if that's how it usually is, I'll avoid doing it again
  17. If it were me, I'd make people know I was in charge. Drop the price to £1* and make the first issue a launch. Fill it with proper articles and content. I don't think getting people to do their job properly would be considered a tidal wave of change :P Give people a REASON to buy the paper, make them know it's in new hands. * £1.20 is blood ridiculous, it requires more effort and thought to dig out £1.20 - granted not a lot, but it's these things little that make a big difference. Like the Seven toll is something stupid like £7.56 etc. Bad marketing
  18. I see they've "cut" the grass on the Hereford end of the Holme Lacy road. By cut I mean they have cut the verge, which is almost vertical, and left the top and the rest. And, as predicted in a previous post, the long grass has killed the bottom grass and the whole thing is a yellow mess.
  19. If I may quote the film Event Horizon.. "Dr. Weir: [laughing] The ship brought me back. I told you she won't let me leave - she won't let anyone leave."
  20. In all seriousness, what are they? Genuine question. Because we've had a "professional" local team. They are bad at football, they are bad at management, the fans have really lost out not only in club performance but also in having to pay the clubs bills for them. When an away team comes to Hereford they are bundled across the bombsite that is Merton Meadow, loaded into couches and shipped off - so away fans aren't spending locally. Seriously, what kind of impression does that car park give the club and Hereford as a whole? Imagine driving into Anfield or Old Trafford and the car park being like that - it would be unthinkable. Every week there's more troubles, and every week we hear "big things coming next week", "exciting news coming next week" - next week comes and it all falls through. And they just keep preying on this tunnel visioned fans who blindly put their faith into their empty words. Don't take it the wrong way, but I genuinely don't see any positives in ripping off die hard fans and dragging problems out to create more problems. You wouldn't follow a huge stock market crash or invest in a failing restaurant, why keep investing in this failing club? I see the benefits in having a well maintained, well managed and performing football club and grounds. I see absolutely no benefit in dragging this mess out.
  21. I heard today that they are failing again and going under... again. I don't know the details, it was mentioned on some facebook group that popped up in my feed
  22. I can't say that I enjoy the ales, but I do like the atmosphere
  23. Are they confusing culture with cultural diversity?
  24. Has anyone else notice a lot more homeless people on the streets in the day? I don't mean the alcoholic scroungers shouting at each other about benefits - I mean proper homeless, grubby, curled up in a corner with a piece of cardboard for coins. I'm sure there are plenty of homeless people, but previously you'd only see maybe 1 in a subway or walking around, but I saw 4 in high town the other day.
