  1. Understandably yes. Speeding no. Blocking my drive no. Courtesy yes. If you do use it please don’t block my drive. There are plenty of gaps in between drives to wait patiently. You wouldn’t block a junction, so why block my driveway? I hear that cooking oil on the windshield is not easy to remove - prolonging your journey! Take this as you will.
  2. This is a letter that I have sent to to our councillor today in the hope that I receive a response. I am sure that is also an issue in other areas, but when you are not even trying to join the que and waiting excessively, something needs to be done. As for the road surface saga - well its just a joke considering it’s a “new†development! I’ve driven on smoother farm tracks. I am writing to you in the hope that you may be able to help resolve some issues we are having on Woodward Avenue (formally Broxash Drive) Every weekday morning we have problems with traffic using the street as a rat run on to Belmont Road which is causing queues of traffic on our street and problems for residents not being able to manoeuvre vehicles on or off driveways. This morning the traffic was particularly bad on the street and vehicles were queuing up as far as the top of the road next to the children's playground and blocking every driveway. I came out of the house this morning with my 5 year old to take her to school in Madley and despite all the traffic seeing me getting in my car, not one car left me any room for me to pull off my driveway. When the traffic started moving I slowly started to pull of my driveway only for another car to then pull forward, blocking me again, and refusing to move for me to be able to come off my drive, despite me telling them I wanted to go in the opposite direction to them. When I was eventually given space to reverse off the drive I was unable to see down the road to see if anything was coming the other way as the vehicles were obscuring my view, I was lucky that there wasn't a car coming as there would have been no way I would have seen them, or them see me. There are also problems with drivers speeding down the road, especially towards the earlier part of the morning before the majority of the traffic builds up on the street. The road itself is an utter mess with major potholes all along the street and the extra traffic using the road is only going to make things worse, we have been told by the highways agency that despite this area being classed as a new development, there are no funds available to resurface this road. Unfortunately I think at some point in the future if these issues are not addressed there will be an accident on the street, whether due to speeding vehicles, poor condition of the road, or queuing traffic obscuring residents view/access off or on driveways.
  3. Looks the part now. Well done chaps and chapesses. Just a few loose ends to finish it off. Ideally need to get the pump working again. Volunteers doing the jobs that we pay our LA taxes to cover. Also great to see that both Herefordshire Council and Hereford City Council have appreciated and recognised all the time, effort and hard work that has been expended! *cough* I’m surprised that HT hasn’t picked up on this too. What’s next Colin? 😂🙊ðŸ‘ðŸ»
  4. Yes it’s gushing a fair bit! I’d take a wild guess and say at least a cubic meter an hour! No one has been today.
  5. Yes Colin!😎 Great show once again. Great atmosphere and good turn out. Got a few pics to get off GoPro and post them up.
  6. Castle green for me. Much better than racecourse and a display by a championship winning fireworksmith- Julian gets my pennies. Minime is taking her LED sparklers too. Me I’ll be happy with Old Rosie and Beefyboys!! Safety first. Enjoy.
  7. I have it on good authority that the University will occupy many locations/buildings within the city. Make of this what you will.
  8. Mention the word Racism to Mr PC, and it carries more weight than most petty crimes and will receive a prompt visit and/or conviction. Tell them your cars been nicked and they’ll send someone round at a convenient time a week or so later! Maybe it’s because im .........!
  9. SEVEN YEARS AGO! Still at least it’s got potential now. Probably complete in another 7!
  10. I’ll can’t make it this time as I’m working. Sorry guys.
  11. What’s going on? I hope the drone pilot is caa certified? Breaking several laws if not. What’s his name - I’ll check.
  12. Wonder if this is linked to the man that prowls whitecross rd, that so many have complained about?
  13. I have heard today that even for them the rates are too high and they are shutting up shop in high town.
  14. Im glad im not on them pics! however I don't ride on the pavements. I do ride over the Vicky bridge if no one is about tho. But I will dismount when there are folk on it and challenge other cyclists riding over! Lights/helmets are a must. Red lights are for a reason and the Highway Code doesn't change for cyclists! Most of my riding is done on trails or around the city via GWW. (Where I have been told several times that I shouldn't be riding down there!! - idiots) The biggest challenge I face is gangs of pram mums 3 abreast and totally ignorant, and wayward dogs on long leads trying to second guess where they might run too. Considering others costs nothing. Show some respect. Fine cyclists not adhering to the Highway Code.
  15. Yes lots of the Duckweed was removed, however there is so much and it is so thick that we barely made a dent in it! To eliminate it, needs heavy duty equipment. I believe that this is being addressed.
  16. https://youtu.be/jXnuWpQSsV4 Here is a video I put together. https://youtu.be/Nw_MLoNVPfw Here is another. Thanks to all involved. Well done.
  17. OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM WMAS. A man has died after a crash between a 4×4 and a tractor pulling a trailer with hay on it. It happened last night in Herefordshire on the A49 between Bryn Garth and Much Birch near to the Axe & Cleaver. Two ambulances and a paramedic officer were sent after the alert was raised at around 9.45pm. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman: “On arrival, ambulance staff found the 4×4 on fire with a hay bale also on fire. “The man driving the 4×4 was confirmed dead at the scene. “A 34-year-old woman, who was the front seat passenger in the 4×4, had been able to get out of the vehicle and was treated for facial injuries at the scene before being taken to Hereford County Hospital. “The tractor driver, a 49-year-old man, was clearly distressed but was uninjured and didn’t want to go to A+E.â€
  18. I have been informed that the highways surrounding the new development will not be resurfaced. I cannot believe that a new development will not have new road surfaces to suit. Apparently Keepmoat are not responsible and it is HC that is responsible for them not highways - and there are no available funds. Take a drive down Broxash/Woodward Ave - its like being on safari! Foot deep potholes and sunken surfaces throughout it's an accident waiting to happen. I ground my car on a daily basis. Damage to cars is inevitable. With this in mind, Herefordshire Council have approved Keepmoat Home as the preferred developer for the city!
  19. I'm sure I'm not the only one asking; but where is this NMiTE supposed to be sited? Lots of talk from the President, who commences his role this July, but no university for 3 years! That's a considerable amount of 'preparation' for a university with no lectures or exams. Could someone please enlighten me?
  20. All I have heard, is that Keepmoat are not permitted to further build until 100% of snags on existing properties have been fixed. Whether this has come from Keepmoat HQ or HH I cannot say. But i can say that it took 17m for all my snags to be fixed! I have a colleague that is awaiting to move into her plot on the flats that are still standing; she was given end of May initially. This was then promptly moved to end of August 2017. The date that the whole development was due to be completed, roughly 100 days time! I think not. I will ask her for an update if she has one. Also I have not received a HH newsletter recently with Our Fils words of wisdom!
  21. RE both above posts. One is...... Well Written The other is..... Written Well Gives you an idea of who means business and who has his fingers in enough pies to buy an island and not give a toss but tell constituents what they "want" to here! (Oh and probably buy a lord or whatever title if he loses his MP seat to keep in with parliament!)
  22. Rumour has it that the PM will be visiting the shire this week. Think JN might be a little scared of a certain candidate in the run up to the GE, and needing a little advice and shoulder to cry on! Let's face it JK has done more for Herefordshire in the past 12m than JN has done collectively.
