  1. New beginnings new GM. Play following suit too.....
  2. Slim, unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it. Anyone can hire a Cessna and take as many photos of your neighbours as you like! If you make profit from them that's another issue! There is an old thread on here about the ins and outs of drone law. Everyone loves a cracking photo tho.
  3. Indeed Probably using a GoPro. Fractured a few laws too.......tsk tsk. Got to be done tho. He's above the river so that's a bonus. You can see why it's tempting on your own at these prices http://www.eurousc.com/media/1291/fees-terms-conditions-uk-issue-40-apr-2016.pdf
  4. Parked nearby today. Had a quick nosey. Work well underway. Foundations and services in. As an idea, those two containers in top pic are bigger than 4 plots!! Unless every room has a toilet in it that is...... ! Pokey
  5. George. Yes I knew that but there was NFA from that point on. Arrested released without charge. Roger DNA not on any database. So just accepted by the state and forgotten about. Who were the yanks in uniform that were "with" him on discovery?
  6. I'm with GK. Pair of Shipping containers! But also with RW outside the box not a box! Surely these architects are highly paid to be ARTistic and creative. I could've done that, and I can't even draw a stickman! Even George Clarkes amazing spaces- shipping containers didn't look like them when finished!! Something a little more pleasing on the eye please.
  7. Tesco have the right idea. No people involved. Park for upto 2hrs, spend £2+ in store, scan reciept on exit! Survey showed average time in store is 40mins so plenty of time to walk the through the city three times!! Although I can't see how this can be adapted to suit at the hospital without human intervention of some kind. The hospital is also a hotspot for bike theft. Yet they refuse to install CCTV. This is another way of controlling parking. Rumours of an increase in charges too, hoping to alleviate congestion I guess. I really can't see anyway of controlling/discounting genuine patient/visitors parking without breach of confidentiality. Drop the prices and everyone will be parking there and no room for visitors!! I must say that Tesco car park was rather vacant yesterday afternoon since introducing their new parking scheme.
  8. Almost 12months on still none the wiser! It is becoming apparent that Hereford is not that small after all. Clearly nobody hears anything down the pub anymore......
  9. I have not and will not be paying it either unless the whole development is fenced and gated with exclusive residential use only; and lets face it that is not going to happen. I already pay council tax for this purpose. HH / HC are clearly aware of the situation and obviously lost the battle but refuse to admit defeat. I am still awaiting a reply to my letter sent to the powers that be, whom proposed this solicitation, on the advice of my solicitor. That was over twelve months ago. (Please see other topic) So who has removed the swing then? Why are HH still badgering Keepmoat but refuse to take ownership? Does somebody now have a rather large swing in their garden? Why are the grounds not being kept? Why are HH not following up the solicitation if that is the reason? So many unanswered questions that only HH can answer. The balls in their court.
  10. Our local bobby is off to quieter pastures. Always stopped for a chat. Hope his replacement will be just as friendly and consistent. All the best Bradders.
  11. Today mini me noticed that the big swing was missing, after being vandalised months ago by teenagers. I did some digging and found out that it has probably been removed for safety purposes after Keepmoat complained to HH about it months ago!! Who has removed it has not become apparent yet, and it was news to Keepmoat themselves. Subsequent information divulged to me was that HH do not want to take ownership of this park! They (HH) rarely litter pick or empty the bins, and it is left to keepmoat to do so, along with Sir Jim. So my question is..... Why do HH not want to take ownership of the park after keepmoat has rebuffed it and completed it to Stringent HH standards and subsequently maintained it for those that are living on the development out of good nature. Also HH have neglected their own grounds and shrubbery since it was put in! Now that it is also encroaching on my property, I have no qualms obtaining a landscaping technician to blitz it and send an invoice to HH for services rendered. I am well within my rights to do so. The shrubbery has now be strangled, overgrown and overwhelmed by weeds. The areas in question have already been completed and handed over to HH. Anyone in council authority who would like to enlighten me?
  12. I've signed the petition calling on MPs to launch an inquiry into the state of the NHS. Add your name here: http://bit.ly/2c6t5Zx
  13. Perhaps when the new double ended bottleneck road is complete and failing catastrophically, Then maybe then, they might just listen to us.
  14. Thanks for that TWG. As I am a Facespace virgin I wouldn't have known; another assumption from the council that everyone IS on Facespace and will know! I'm glad that Colin is not getting flogged either!! Perhaps some of our great councillors could shed some light on this predicament with "Hard Facts" and not more speculation? HV members are all very well aware that many of our councillors peruse this forum silently for inspiration, even some of the top bosses! Perhaps we ( HV ) could hold a meeting with Hereford2020 to find out exactly what it's all about and invite the HT over to take minutes. I wait in anticipation. Over to you councillors.
  15. Am I missing something here? Why is Hereford2020 so special? Is it the year "our Colin" gets freedom of the city or flogged to death!! ;p Will the never ending traffic congestion end? Will "those traffic lights" finally be switched off? Will a second river crossing be in place? Or will it be in "The Times" top ten places to live? Let's face it, it take the council months to get a small patch of grass cut; what do they expect to achieve in 1220 days? Someone please enlighten me.
  16. Popped down to beefy boys for a take out this evening. The lights and subsequent cones are surrounding a hole that has been dug on the pavement! I know I passed my test moons ago, but I'm sure that even with all this modern technology in cars nowadays you're still not allowed to drive on the pavement? I feel like setting up a "cone amnesty" under the cover of darkness tonight........ No holes no harm

    JK

Today I saw JK in Radford Gardens park, at first I thought he was lost! then I realised he was with a few new recruits litter picking. The constant litter on this new park is from the same culprits day in day out. Having witnessed and challenged them myself I feel it's time to get the local Bobby round too and make them clear it up. Every little helps; maybe! The group in question are aged between 13-17 both boys and girls around 8-10 of them. They usually arrive after Tea and vacate around ten, ten thirty pm daily unless it's raining! The mess they leave is disgusting, bottles chip wrappers, sweets etc. I believe them to be localish but not in the direct vacinity of the park. The same group are also responsible for the mindless vandalism around the building site - just for kicks! So thanks to Jim & co for clearing this mess today it's not even on his patch. Top bloke. Don't forget to drop them sticks off to me Jim. Cheers.
  18. After visiting Swansea/Mumbles over the weekend, I realised what an under used area the Meadows is. Why does it not get utilised more, especially during the summer months? Singleton Park has a boating lake, mini fun rides and bouncy castle for U12s, play park with NO LITTER and no damage, various groups of different ages doing different activities, and food & bar caravans. Not one copper or litter picker in sight! Oh and I didn't even have to pay for parking all day... What have we got........ Scorched grass where childhood memories lie and extortionate parking charges. Yes I had to explain why the pool disappeared. Yes she would like it back! So would I!
  19. Tracey, referring to NF litter pickers, I had to laugh! I have only seen them twice - all five of them!. Once around their base at the oval and the second in the vacinity of the home of the leader/councillor! It's a very clicky group...... If your face don't fit.....
  20. ASFAIK Keepmoat DO own the land at present. This has been acquired since the redevelopment and remains in their possession until handover is completed.... I might be wrong!
  21. Today I left Ledbury at 440pm I arrived at aylestone hill at 5pm. Not bad 20mins 11miles. Then it took me another 47minutes to cross the city 2miles! Shocking. None of the traffic lights are in sync and then add the misery of Belmont Roads One-Man Taskforce. Aimlessly staring INTO the bottom of the traffic light box. I can only assume there is some sort of counter and he is allowing equal amounts through from either side. No other fellas in sight. Still we live in hope. REMEMBER once the gas board have finished in eight weeks or so; the water board will come to replace their mains farther up the road - this will be completed within 12 weeks. Then electricity board will follow suit. Once that's done BB will come along and fill in the potholes that are left. Just in time for the summer holidays................
  22. Surprise Suprise, this morning a half-hearted attempt at pruning alongside (opposite) the rowing club by BB. No more no less. Just the essential trees and bush encroaching the path. It's a start I suppose. Another triumph by HV
  23. I'm sorry to say that 12m has almost passed us by along with the BB maintenance plan on the GWW! Nothing has been done since we last tackled it. Show of hands for this years effort. As a little incentive, those that participate can invoice BB and the council for services rendered for the day.
  24. Yes he did manage a successful turn!!!
  25. The aforementioned formally known as, has now been closed to through traffic until further notice. Access for Trevanent Court flats and Woodward Avenue residents only via Kilvert Road end. The road has been barricaded shut from the Oval end to deter any wouldbe sign movers but Pedestrian do have access through to the shops. Despite the clear signage folk are still attempting to shortcut! I've never seen anyone make a nine-point turn before.........
