  1. Think it's a super idea and as a bonus I love curry ! Thank you . I am sure that with a bit of planning Cllr Vaughen-Powell could have a meal of her choosing prior to attending the Bash.
  2. Being an "old geezer " without any grandchildren I do not have much of a clue about present day education, however I do feel that children of the age of 4+ must be able to read and write before they rely on the wonders of an iPad. I read a recent report in the Daily Mail ( no ,I do not or would not buy it ) on my iPad which stated that by educating a child via computers is wrong initially - get them to read , write and be able to do simple maths first , then proceed further ( having said that - that's another day that I haven't had to use algebra ) joking apart , please teach the next generation the three R 's first. If I am misguided because I am not up to speed with modern education I apologise.
  3. Dippy , point taken - I will withdraw my thoughts - still a super story .
  4. A work of fiction .......never ! That is a scope that the HT would have love , brilliant - thank you Gridknocker for taking the time and effort to research this story and printing the truth .
  5. From Bobby. "Oh! And there's plenty more where that came from" I for one , believe you Bobby !
  6. Standing on Steel Corner the other day , looked towards the new build on the old market site - they may have more work to do , but at the moment it looks just like a factory building and not a prestige shopping area .
  7. Bobby , that is so sad ( and worrying ) Have we all wasted our time and energy sorting out situations in far distant shores to find that everything we say and do is censored . As well as bring up our children to be good honest citizens ....when in fact all we should be doing is going along with a very slow stodgy flow concerned about upsetting the rules laid down by the few. That's so wrong. I will defend the minority to the last but this type of censorship is so wrong.
  8. Can only agree with Biomech - the WM Police circulated the initiall report of a woman with a baby being attacked - they have now circulated further information - do not think either reports have made the HT ( for whatever reason ) it's just a pity , the HT is a " local paper " and therefore should report local stories. I have not copied and pasted the full appeal , do not wish to tred on Colins fine leather soled shoes. Further Information Released In Attempted Robbery Investigation - Hereford Police investigating an attempted robbery in Hereford have released further information in a bid to identify a woman who tried to rob a mother as she pushed her child along in a pram. A witness appeal was issued shortly after the incident, which happened on a footpath, which runs between Abbotsmead Road and Northolme Road, at around 3.30pm on Wednesday, 20 November.

  10. The day I was banned the HT published 3 posts from me in the hard copy of he HT. I think that it's either the Office Junior or the Caretaker who makes the decisions . They lie when they say that I was warned for starters.
  11. Ode To Ubique. .....this was from Dippyhippy at the time of my banishment . Ubique has been deleted, His posts we'll read no more. Not a single vowel or consonant, Will wash up on this shore. No more updates from West Mercia, Will he type upon this page, Ubique has been deleted, The end of a golden age. We'll never get to Liddls now, For our thrice weekly trolley dash, We'll never neck a pint of ale , At the Forum Posters Christmas Bash. No....those days are over, It truly is a shame. Ubique has been deleted, We'll not see his like again..... By D Hippy.
  12. I was , and still are banned by the HT for the same reasons , received no warnings , they went straight for the jugular . They have only given me one reason - copying and pasting the full Press Releases from West Mercia Police and others on their website - it breached their rules - sorry, no , that's not an apology to the HT , if it's in the public domain why don't the HT publish the full story on their web site - if they are saving that full story for the hard copy of the paper on Thursdays because they want us to purchase the paper , my reply is that there are enough advertisements on their website which must earn them money.
  13. Following press release from HCC website! A49 Edgar Street works complete 27 November 2013 The Highways Agency has informed us that they have now completed the A49 pinch point works at Edgar Street and new traffic lights have now been synchronised. They will continue to monitor the traffic lights to ensure that motorists can enjoy improved travel through the area as we move into the busy festive season.
  14. It's been suggested by Colin and others that they should consider switching the traffic lights off , appears to be a very good time now to try it. They are suggesting that it's an unknown fault at a unknown location so it could be some time before we can take advantage of the. "Real benefits "
  15. There is a Saxon family living in my village , husband ,wife and 2 children . I will ask them where they have travelled and rested along the highways of this fine County and advise you via email. Do not want a stampede , picture the scene ,it will be like the Alaskan Gold Rush . As Dippy said - please keep up the high standard of your cods wallop on a regular basis . From what Biomech posted it appears that you made the correct decision - think ,legally , all you had to do was look around and say " has anybody lost their wage packet" No reply and it's your lucky day.
  16. I do not have any inside knowledge but the people involved maybe residents of the pub and therefore the time is irrelevant . Just a thought.
  17. Good afternoon Dippy , for whatever reason the HT are not allowing comments on their story of this incident . ( it was my updating on their comments that I received a smacked hand a couple of weeks ago ! ) .
  18. Thanks Colin , once again light years ahead of our " local" paper .
  19. The ball is now firmly in the IOC Court - they must get Canditates to stand in every Ward ready for the next Election.
  20. Dippy the short answer will be NO . Not the answer you wanted to read but history tells that Its what will happen.
  21. From Worcestershire CC website - Trish's background is in social care, and her career has included a variety of management posts in Berkshire, Suffolk, Warwickshire and Hereford and Worcester County Council, specialising in organisational development and management of change in Social Services.
  22. This is another apparent racist incident - this story was circulated by WM police yesterday and has not yet been put on the HT website. That's of concern because of how it could have turned out . The Residents of the area have a right to know what is happening in their area so that they can can the appropriate action - likewise someone reading the circulation may well know who the allegded offender are. Appeal After Man Exposed Himself To Father And Son In Hereford Police in Hereford are appealing for information after a man exposed himself to a father and his young child. The incident happened at around 3.15pm on Monday, 4 November, on Great Western Way, near the junction with Hunderton Road. The father was walking along The Lines with his son when two men, heading in the opposite direction, passed them on the pathway. The two men are described as being drunk – shouting and swearing – and the father of the young boy asked them to stop. In response to the request, one of the men unzipped his trousers and exposed himself, before turning around and urinating against a bin. The man is described as white, aged 30, of a large build, 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins tall, with a shaved head. PC Polly Price is investigating the incident. She said: “The victim did his best to shield his son’s eyes from the offender but clearly, this was an upsetting incident for both of them. It is also concerning that someone would behave in such a way at school closing time and in broad daylight. “The offender was with another man at the time who is described as white, in his late 20s, of a slimmer build, around 6ft tall and with mousey-brown, short hair. “The pair are described as being foreign – possibly Eastern European – and I would appeal to anyone who saw them hanging around in the Hunderton area of Hereford on the afternoon in question, or knows who they are from the descriptions given, to call us.†Anyone with information can call police on 0300 333 3000 quoting reference 695S 041113. Alternatively, people can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
  23. Dippyhippy , so many welcomes from Ubique - aka you know who ! It's a super sutw
  24. The below was circulated by West Mercia Police to the public , they are seeking information to an incident which could have really turned nasty. I believe that The Hereford Times have , to date chosen not to add it to their web site ,because , the report states that the two alledged offended are possibly Eastern European . ( I can understand it if Colin decides that this story should not be in this link and deletes it) I felt that it should be in the public domain soonest so that other parents do not have to be involved in a similar situation Appeal After Man Exposed Himself To Father And Son In Hereford Police in Hereford are appealing for information after a man exposed himself to a father and his young child.
