  1. Ended up walking around Tesco's in town at 2.30am looking for something to eat this morning, we were not the only ones either. Council should be supporting the local trades not killing them off, especially now that the ESG is not far off opening, you would think the council would be doing all that they can for them.
  2. I totally agree with you but I also think that the council/police should enforce the law and when people juts throw rubbish on the floor they should be prosecuted where possible. I witnessed a couple walking in front of me earlier today and the woman just threw an empty crisp packet on the floor! I am quite shocked how blatant some people really are, she did not have a care in the world. I wanted to say something but it looked like they were having some sort of argument so I decided not too. We have CCTV so why is this no being used and a police officer or CSO called when this sort of thing happens?
  3. Great pix thanks for sharing them with us.
  4. I was reading HV's post on Facebook last night about this incident, hope she is okay.
  5. Hello Mike and I see you are a new member so first of all welcome to HV. I had the same discussion with someone only yesterday, surely those pre fabs have well out lasted their initial life span? So yes some good questions.
  6. What a joke! 3 years later and it's still there, that is unbelievable!! I walked along the GWW yesterday afternoon and I accept that CVP has done a lot getting Amey to clear a load of brush and brambles back there are still loads of overgrown area's and I would hardly feel safe, walking along here after the hours of dark, what ever happened to the extra lighting and possible CCTV that was discussed back in 2010?
  7. Yeah, shame her it's disgusting! You could also report her if you know where she lives to the council because it's an offence and a fine is due to her I think.

    Asylum please

Yeah, I'd agree with that. Your safe from all that crap here, welcome to the club, it's good to have you here.
  9. They would look a lot better with some modern cladding and the shops could do with a face lift, especially the ones around the back. These flats above the sops look not a lot different from the flats that are being demolished.
  10. Thank you CVP, you are right I am confusing the different flats. I was sure work had been recently done on these flats especially the ones around the shops, were they not painted or something?
  11. I have been reading all about the up and coming Oval regeneration starting in the next few months. Is it me or did they recently put all new windows and generally upgrade/revamp all the the flats? If this is the case why did they spend all this money if they are all being knocked down shortly?
  12. Thank you for the information Colin, There is still no update on the HT website, I think I will use HV as my source of news from now on ha ha
  13. November 23rd at Radford's Bar (Hereford United ) a night of pure 80's classic music in aid of Hereford County Hospital childrens ward £10 on the door inc buffet come along and please support our local nurses fundraiser as we play the sounds that shaped the decade of dance
  14. So this is for traffic approaching the Starting Gate roundabout from the Worcester Road yes? How will they squeeze another lane in there?
  15. I have noticed for sometime now that a few councillors have it in for councillor Vaughan-Powell in particular Phil Edwards, well he now has more egg on his pantomime face, good on you councillor Vaughan-Powell for standing by your principles. I think it's disgusting, councillors should be seen to work together not trying to constantly trip each other up in order to gain a few more brownie points, I remember councillor Edwards once mocking the Mayors status and claiming it was a waste of money, funny that eh I saw out Mayor in his nice personalised BMW only the other day, not on his bike anymore then.
  16. Coming to Comedy Club at the Hereford Courtyard Theatre? Then why not take advantage of our Curry Night and make a proper night of it? Whenever there’s a Comedy Club The Cafe Bar rustle up a delectable meat and veggie curry with rice or naan bread to ticket holders for £8. If you want to be sure you don’t miss out – people who like laughing seem to like their curry! – and you fancy a 25% discount then book in advance by calling the Box Office and get your curry at £6, either when you book your tickets, or just add it on after. The next one is November 4th when Andy Parsons is on stage, should be a great night.
  17. I now know where I can go to take a wee but it's not really a real solution in my opinion, i know that some countries favour this but I do not believe that the UK fall into that category just yet.
  18. There is a crash on Roman Road today so traffic is really bad. Roman Road is closed near Bobblestock following a collision this morning between a car and a bus. Picture from HT
