We Need Better Lane Guidance On Hereford Roundabout
M. Preece replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford City
I think your in the wrong lane, if you are coming from Victoria Street (Steels Side) and you want to go around the roundabout to come back over the bridge towards Abergavenny/Belmont then ideally you would need to be in the 3rd lane (NOT the 4th Furthest on the right!) follow this lane around and you will not need to change lanes at all. Colin is correct in post number 9 here- 28 replies

Police Seize Cigarettes From 'Kurdish Owned' European Shop
M. Preece replied to Colin James's topic in Police & Crime
Best part is that my friend used to work here and the owners are not even Polish, they are from Iraq but unfortunately the Polish people will get the blame. -
I notice regular drinkers sitting on peoples graves in Commercial Rd grave yard, personally, I think this is disgusting, I witnessed one man take a wee up against one of the head stones, this is in a public place! They she be moved from here immediately! Half of these people do not want help in my experience and handing them out free money is certainly not the answer. I felt quite intimidated walking through the graveyard earlier in order to visit a friend in hospital.

The web address on the back of the brochure is wrong

The western route seems the most viable option, there are too many barriers going the eastern route, you have to cross the river several times and you would need to raise the roads over the lugg meadows, it just ain't going happen that way! I visited the three counties today and had a chat with people, its a bit of a catch 22 because in order to get planning you need to have funding and there is not much coming from central gov, however, there is some un allocated money available for 2022, but a plan is required before they can apply, so the only way the can get some of the money is from new homes...

Cannot Purchase Hot Food In Hereford City After 1.30am
M. Preece replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
Yes but this was back in the days when most of the clubs in Hereford all closed at the same time 1am!! So everyone would come out at the same time from the various establishments. Read through the various replies, because since the licensing laws were relaxed this is no longer the case and there is no mass exodus of people like there used to be years ago. They don't stop football matches taking place do they! It's the same principle, masses of people and you will often have trouble. You will always have weekend youngsters having the odd feud or fight that's just human nature after a few drinks, but to prevent these traders being able to stay open is totally wrong in my opinion, most of these places only tick over during the week and rely on their weekend trade. My son lives in St Owen St and rarely does he see big problems at night. Back to the other comment made, it's okay then to buy cold food but not hot???- 291 replies

Traffic Lights Campaign - Part -Time Lights 7pm-7am
M. Preece replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
Well it depends on what time you witnessed this? I drove down the Belmont Rd yesterday morning at 8.20 and the traffic was horrendous! It took me almost an hour to get to Cotswold BMW, which on a Sunday I can do in 10 mins.- 79 replies

Romsey Drive is the other side of the road from us. There are trees at the back of Tesco but they do not run all the way along, but we do have the fence I suppose. We have had a look at the plans and to be honest we have no real objections here, like I said before, the proposed changes are quite minimal and I think it will actually reduce noise if anything and to be fair, we don't suffer noise on a large scale. I think where you are the noise levels from Lorries would be worse? But we knew what to expect moving in here, Tesco's was here before these houses were complete, so we were always aware to expect deliveries.
-
Yes, I live in Prinknash Close, which is probably closer to the dot com facility than you, our house backs onto Tesco
-
And what? This had nothing to do with the work being halted.
-
I very much doubt there will be any increase in noise, have a look at the plans, the proposals are very minimal and actually look like it will help in a reduction of any noise.
-
Too many traffic lights and I can now see exactly what Colin means.

Herefordshire Council CCTV Successfully Bids For Funding
M. Preece replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford City
No you are correct the same as speed camera's do not stop people from speeding but it is a deterrent and will help identify any criminals. They have to work on better quality images though and in this day of technology 1080p Full HD is easy enough with the right equipment. -

M. Preece replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford City
In fairness this was first asked for over 3 years ago! In this post here to be fair to CVP she has got most of this sorted to her credit but it has taken far too long, which I appreciate is not CVP fault. -

Correct I still don't understand why they never turned them all off while they had the opportunity. I have thought of another group name; Sequence Free or Lifeless Lights
