  1. Unbelievable numbers, this is all very positive and gives an indication of what the local people think of the idea, so lets hope the people at the top take notice of this.
  2. I agree with Colin, most of the infrastructure is in place already, of course it will need adjusting but this can be done quite easily in my opinion. I am shocked that half of these old tracks are still there and hidden away for all these years without anyone coming up with such a simple plan as this one. I never knew any of it was still there until this topic was created.
  3. A very good and positive idea, lets hope that the next council get behind this project, could give Hereford the boost that the city needs and some serious relief from the roads coming in south of the river. This could be linked to Rotherwas without too much effort I would imagine but I really like the idea of a modern tram system in Hereford. Seeing the photographs brings back some memories too
  4. Good to see something different for a change, appreciation to pilot/photographer for these photographs taken in what must be difficult conditions. Everything looks so different from this view eh.
  5. So where do you advise we put any half eaten food other than in a black bag?
  6. The idea is NOT to delete anything but in this case I think you made the right decision bud.
  7. I could not of put it any better myself, one huge SCAM and bully boy tactics and I know what I think about bullies!. Thanks for the original advice in the first 2 posts i'm sure this will become useful at some point with so many of these bullies around these days.
  8. Some good advice here and useful links, a lot of this industry is corrupt.
  9. Some common sense here and well done Colin for educating those of us who would of felt bullied by these people with their tickets and possibly just paid.
  10. Excellent idea Col, so if they do not go with the light out trial hopefully we can have part time light at night, 7pm until 7am sounds ideal too.
  11. I have just run a script test on HV and its loading fine, in fact, its lightening for me, I have a fast download speed from my ISP so it's down to your internet provider and connection and not necessarily this website. I would also check your browser cache but it might also be worth checking your download speeds HERE or HERE
  12. Good letter and you have my support on this campaign. Traffic in Hereford is a nightmare! I think it will get a lot worse when the new shopping centre finally opens too.
  13. Thanks for the PDF, grabbing it now. I am one of maybe a few that is actually looking forward to the opening of the new shopping centre, the town is dead, the cinema is crap and not much choice on places to eat or shop. Hardly any men's clothes shops so I can't wait!
  14. Another scoop for HV I think you are correct Colin, this sounds like it was something to do with the Casino.
  15. Welcome to HV Leon. You have hit the nail on the head! You would be surprised at how many people choose to spend their weekends in Worcester and Gloucester, Cardiff and Bristol, even smaller cities than Hereford you can still get a take away at 3am, Hereford needs to get into the 21st century, its no wonder there are so many empty places here.
  16. But something does not add up here because I managed to get a hot pasty from the garage at 3am last week. The girl in the garage put it in he microwave for me, that's hot food and this is all some takeaways do with some of their food, no difference really. I have also been reading the discussion above between Roger and Biomech, which is interesting but how does this effect Tesco? You have discussed this issue based on food outlets but you can buy food 24 hours a day from Tesco and Asda so it's okay for them to sell food. This is a great discussion and I am glad that Colin has brought it to our attention, personally, I cant see what the difference in food temperature, ultimately when you have been out for a few beers or to a club, when you come out your hungry and you will find somewhere to serve you food. The council should reverse this and allow takeaways to close when THEY decide, this is bordering on discrimination in my view and these small business's rely mainly on their weekend trade.
  17. Only the "just a road crossing away" you refer too is the cities major ring road and dual carriageway, great if your 75 years old or a mum with kiddies trying to cross over into town, what planet are you on? A tunnel or enclosed footbridge from the new centre over the main road makes perfect sense and like Colin has said would have no impact on the traffic underneath, the traffic would not need to stop for pedestrians at all which keeps the traffic MOVING, furthermore it keeps the town united not disjointed as someone has already pointed out.
