    Bill Tanner

This needs to be addressed immediately, not everyone has a FB account. What ever happened to the good old email address? Sort it out Bill.
  2. Indeed!! You were there for a reason and he always knew that! It caused him a bit of a stir when the new road was built, have no idea why ;p did a little excavation work himself!!!

    See santa

Done all of mine on the 26th December!
  4. No doubt many of you know of him, with many a story to share. Known by many for trading as City Spares 'scrapyard' down Watery Lane. It has came to my attention tonight, that he has passed away. No further information at present. Sympathy with his family and friends at this tough time.

    See santa

Santa ;) will be passing over Hereford tomorrow evening around 17:18 to 17:22 look up in at 17 degrees in a South Westerly direction. Just in time before very excited little people go to bed. Spread the Christmas magic.
  6. I plan to Thursday night. Free wine, an orange, singsong and a warm up after a night on the town. Might even get a lift home!!
  7. Just drove past on my way home. It now appears that they are 'reserving' the all free parking outside the premise with the wavy board placards suitably placed quick as a flash as soon as a spot is vacant. Presumably for the dictator! sorry I mean director/s. I'm sure there is a law being flouted here?? Anyway I'll drive down later and park with a 'Hamilton' nudge on board!! Kind of them to provide me a space.
  8. Their HQ HQ is still rather nice inside, retaining most of the original 17C chapel features. A lot of building work going on inside; its huge!! The only past info I can find into the history of the place is Marion fathers, the rest is just referring to FC (how have they managed to dupe Google?), which is a shame! The convent opposite was demolished in 96, and the other place also attached to the convent (next to FC behind the old b&w house), lay derelict for many years before being converted into flats some years ago.
  9. And let the annual pilgrimage commence.
  10. After a thorough deep clean, service is resumed as normal. Minus the crispy bits.
  11. Although it is rare on this family friendly forum, may I remind you all of the law as it is stated, regarding online bullying. The context is guided towards younger people, however the principle is still the same. Types of cyberbullying There are many ways of bullying someone online and for some it can take shape in more ways than one. Some of the types of cyber bullying are: Harassment - This is the act of sending offensive, rude, and insulting messages and being abusive. Nasty or humiliating comments on posts, photos and in chat rooms. Being explicitly offensive on gaming sites. Denigration – This is when someone may send information about another person that is fake, damaging and untrue. Sharing photos of someone for the purpose to ridicule, spreading fake rumours and gossip. This can be on any site online or on apps. We even hear about people altering photos of others and posting in online for the purpose of bullying. Flaming – This is when someone is purposely using really extreme and offensive language and getting into online arguments and fights. They do this to cause reactions and enjoy the fact it causes someone to get distressed. Impersonation – This is when someone will hack into someone’s email or social networking account and use the person's online identity to send or post vicious or embarrassing material to/about others. The making up of fake profiles on social network sites, apps and online are common place and it can be really difficult to get them closed down. Outing and Trickery – This is when someone may share personal information about another or trick someone into revealing secrets and forward it to others. They may also do this with private images and videos too. Cyber Stalking – This is the act of repeatedly sending messages that include threats of harm, harassment, intimidating messages, or engaging in other online activities that make a person afraid for his or her safety. The actions may be illegal too depending on what they are doing. Bullying by spreading rumours and gossip — The worst thing about social networking sites and messaging apps is that anything nasty posted about you can be seen by lots of people and these posts can go viral very fast and be shared by so many people within minutes in some cases. From what we have heard from people who have been bullied online, the most vicious gossip and rumours are often spread by people who were once your best friends so it's best to keep secrets and personal information to yourself. Only tell people things if it wouldn't embarrass you if other people found out about them. Posting false and malicious things about people on the internet can be classed as harassment. Threatening behaviour — Anyone who makes threats to you on the internet could be committing a criminal offence. It's against the law in the UK to use the phone system, which includes the internet, to cause alarm or distress. It could also be against the 1997 Harassment Act. If threats are made against you then it's essential you confide in your parents, or someone you trust so that they can make a complaint to the police. If you can't print out the threats use the "print screen" button or snipping tool to take a snapshot of the computer screen and then save that somewhere safe. Or if you have a phone or tablet, use the screenshot function and keep these images safe.
  12. Not that it makes any difference as it's never open, but no. It was on the other side of the houses.
  13. Planning application for AMBER TAVERNS plastered over this place today. Refurbishment "bringing your local back to life" I think is their slogan. Are we going to see the Hop Pole again then?
  14. A builders van was vandalised to gain entry and cleaned out. This happened in broad daylight around 11am a few days ago. The van was parked in Radford gardens near the block of new flats. A HH van was also parked next to it but was untouched. I believe the contents was carpentry related. If you are offered cheap tools or hear something, please inform @southsidecops It appears the culprits left in a white transit van that was a little battered, and seen by a few tradesmen around the site.
  15. Received a £100 pcn today for a 3.5hr stay at brook retail park, on 16/11/15 reduced to £60 if I pay within 14 days of contravention!!!! Hmmmm. What can I do for 3hrs down there??? No one is dying or birthing, so no hospital visit, too short for a train trip, too far to walk into town, am I missing any? NO I WASNT AT THE FC EITHER!!! All I can think of was pets at home! But 3.5hrs really? Besides there is nowhere to eat and I "exited" 2.34pm way past my lunch!! I'm not denying I used it, merely the time spent; for me it's rather too excessive. I'm digging out the receipts to prove it. I also would like to see a colour shot and hq copy as I have a prominent sticker in my rear window which is not shown in the photo!! Stand by...... UPDATE: I was there at 3:07pm the following day. I have the PAH card recipe to prove it! I'm not contacting them.
