  1. This arrived today..... My solicitors comment "sorry I cannot comment on this."
  2. A boy says to a girl, "So, sex at my place?" "Yeah!" "Okay, but I sleep in a bunk bed with my younger brother, and he thinks we're making sandwiches, so we have to have a code. Cheese means faster and tomato means harder, okay?" Later on the girl is yelling, "Cheese cheese, tomato tomato!" The younger brother says, "Stop making sandwiches! You're getting mayo all over my bed!"
  3. Got me a new mower, hedge cutter and composter all in one machine.
  4. The quality of content in certain (used to be local) radio station has drastically declined since someone took over, guns blazing. Bet he thought Hereford was a sleepy old village, we would roll over and take it lying down. How wrong was he. How long before his celeb secret is outed? Tata.... As for LIKE - it will be run by locals with local knowledge for locals with locals in mind. Call it community radio if you will. I agree DAB is not the way forward but tinternet is. I often stream from my phone to my car, then there is podcasting..... So broadcasting is not a problem IMO. H&W is limited by bbc protocol, and wyvern is the same as it always was - just a name change since Dr Fox left! LIKE has my backing, all for a change. Good luck Ian.
  5. Do you need three guesses?! Another optimist!
  6. Broadcast is imminent. What would you do. If you could be involved?
  7. Last week I accidentally overturned my golf buggy. A very attractive and keen golfer, heard the noise and called out, “Are you Okay?†“I’m Okay, thanks." I replied She then said "forget your troubles. Come to the 19th, and I'll help you get the buggy up later." "That's mighty sporting of you," I answered, but I don't think my wife would like it." "Oh, come on," She insisted. She was very pretty, very sexy and persuasive.... I was weak. "Well okay," I finally agreed, and added again, "but my wife won't like it." After a restorative cider or three, and some creative putting lessons, I thanked my host. "I feel a lot better now, but I know my wife is going to be really upset." "Don't be silly! She said with a smile, She won't know anything. By the way, where is she?" "Under the cart" I said....
  8. As said before buy a goat. Great for hedges too! I too have acquired grass. And not that type!! I shall be resurrecting my trusty power devil mower £69 Argos special probably 10years ago. Been stored for 8!! But I'll service it myself. Failing that, I'll buy a goat, great burglar alarm too! Watch this space.
  9. From using this info, re my other post my childhood home was probably built on a stank!!
  10. Southside has an interesting past. Hereford in general - my late grandfathers elderly friend (prob about 150+ now!!) swore blind Hereford was a Welsh single farm! If I recall correctly, there were a few "unforeseen circumstances" during the development of southolme yarlington etc. Noone really knows the lye of the land until something untoward happens. I'm still proud to live here tho.
  11. Been told it will be fixed by end of July. I like the optimism.
  12. Well said Glenda. Growing up, A good scrap always entertained southsiders, Haywood vs Whitecross/aylestone/St fairys on the lines every Friday - when they bothered to turn up. ;) southsiders have always stood up and been counted not rolled over and took it laying down like northerners (or poshside as they think of themselves!)
  13. Ive been assured that someone WILL ring tomorrow. Then let's see them get the L200 parked in it! Watch this space.
  14. So the roof pours when it rains. I've rented it for years and years and it's just degraded over time. My stuff will be ruined when it's in there as I need storage for an imminent move. I only previously had my trailer in there, no biggie, yet been leaking at the back for years, now it's all of it! Phoned HA today, response was, "not priority, and they are only for car storage!" We'll send someone to look. Well no1, nothing in the contract States it's purpose, no2, you can't get a modern car in it and no3 it was patched with a blob of silicon here and there many years ago!! Where do I stand on this one? It's not fit for purpose, it hasn't been maintained in many many years previous phoned about roof again, nothing done, and the roof is asbestos? Yet I'm still expected to pay a monthly rent! Am I within my right to withhold rent until the roof is replaced?
  15. Roj, For the record, What has your area got to offer? IMO you seem jealous of being a northerner ;) and not having these great opportunities Southside. We have a few great new modern-tech schools new housing development in progress, supermarkets and a lovely riverside walk into town or out into the sticks. Why on earth would I want to venture to the other side of town?? I rest my case.
  16. Your religion doesn't make you a better person, your actions do. My mechanic is my god, he keeps restoring my faith!!
  17. Are the brethren brothers still across the way, at the end of netherwood rd? They're a funny lot too! Plenty of money tho. Tried recruiting from the factories a fair few years ago. Fair to say they probably only recruited a new vocabulary!
  18. DILLIGAF

    Grass cutting

Abbeyfields needs a quick haircut too, whilst they're at it. A few old timers lost their pooches for a while today! Me I nearly trod in sonya. :-/
  19. One for the oldtimers! I remember my grandfather and his friends always moaning about the brook that was filled in when the Farm was built in the 50/60s. Please envisage a blank canvas!!!! From what I recall it went from redhill/callow, grosmont grove, top of Brampton rd, kilpeck, muir, Sherborne, millard, and into the brook on waterfield, on a kind of diagonal tangent! My grandfathers friends gardens were always wet in the height of summer! My childhood house always has a damp back room, "condensation" sunken patio and a wet garden. Yet the neighbours didn't! This was also still the case a few years ago!! Can anybody comment further? The route is approximate, as you may see, a few brooks are drawn on there; and they didn't have aerial photography back then!!
  20. So the cats out of the bag! The toilets for starters. This will be once the creation of radford gardens has completed, instead of being inconjuction with! Then theres the proposed new public service aka "the lines" which is gathering SERIOUS weight behind it. (There is limited construction access throughout the length tho- so even more traffic on the Hellmont Road!) Then there was the water leak last week..... Nobody knew THAT supply was there plus another that was narrowly missed also. Which begs to ask, what was there before the flats? GWR property? Farmland/ houses was farther up the road.
  21. Patience People. It's Sunday nothings open on Sunday's, except that Freedom shenanigans place- it is then legal to lock your kids up. STAY WELL CLEAR KIDS ;-p
  22. Another fast buck for the council/HHA then. Unlike HHA tenants I will have to pay for my own property upkeep. Therefor I am not paying for someone else's too! By law I have to pay council tax, but before I decide whether to pay this extortion, I shall ask Mr Butler for an comprehensive explaination to this surcharge. Thanks Glenda.
  23. Evening Dip! I've been silent on here for too long. Cols badgering paid off eventually, but I still need to remain quiet a little longer... Need to do a bit more diggin!!
  24. What's with the £125pa community charge Glenda? Does this also include HA tenants or just those that wish purchase their own home? I'm told it is to upkeep the community! I've never been lucky enough to obtain a HA nor a mortgage (well I could for a garden shed!) so the HTB has helped me, yes it's been hard to save the £8k deposit still needed, privately renting & with a family. Without this regeneration I'd still be paying someone else's mortgage. thanks! I don't mind living on a building site for the next 3 years - think of the perks and leftovers... A brick BBQ, playhouse, patio extension, wall!! . I've worked on a newbuild and if you're resourceful and polite you can get pretty much anything surplus. I'm eager now.... I digress IF SO I WONT NEED TO PAY MY COUNCIL TAX THEN. WICKED!!
