  1. Indeed reporting an inquest, however it has been depicted and headed in a way clearly to run down the NHS.
  2. Yet more great journalism from HT!! http://m.herefordtimes.com/news/14206880.Elderly_man_dies_45_minutes_after__difficult__hospital_operation/ At a time when our great hospital is at breaking point and already in the media for all the wrong reasons. This story has no reflection on anything related to the current media coverage. The NHS did what it could for this gravely ill elderly patient in MAY, why HT felt the need to report it now is beyond me. Many people have tragically lost their lives daily in the hospital, after all they are there for palliative care, some will make it some won't. Are HT going to report on every one? It disgusts me. Report on something significant that concerns us, BILL WIGGIN extra curricular activities, not this tripe. But no you pull that one! Why?
  3. I thought he was a MP not a financial consultant? "Our clients include hedge funds, private equity funds, property funds, commodities funds and other fund types. We cater for any fund, fund size and strategy." So I've applied, I have no clue what I've applied for but, I've got some funds, not a lot, but that doesn't matter to them, as stated. For a measly £3333pcm Mr Wiggin must be on commission, so every little helps. Let's see.
  4. To be fair I don't think there is any case to answer for. Yes all the "trademarks" are there, but they don't call themselves Tescos. Maybe if they were called Tecso Express.... Yes! But will you honestly mistake Hereford Express for Tescos? Unlikely. Take Beefy Boys for example, hardly mega rich rock stars are they, being world famous is about the only similarity to Beastie Boys!!! Don't quote me but I think it is only Nike who have legal rights and TM etc, and that cost them billions. But then again it's hard not to make a copy without looking like a Nike tick. Oh and just for the record, all smartphones have the same products inside. The outside and software is where the legalities are. It's a harsh world.
  5. OCTOBER 2015 HT have obviously sacked the proof reader!
  6. What if the Oxford Family have been recruited by the Freedom Church? It falls into their purchased buildings catagories and It is a licenced venue after all............
  7. Exerp from HT: The county council to solve the problem of the burnt out shops in Hereford city centre will be considered in the next few months. A fire ripped through the former River Island shop in High Town in October 2015 and has not been rebuilt since. Optimism! Forget the talks, it been going on for more than 3months!!! Hurry up with the CPO and reinstate some more shops. You will gain valuable much needed assets and we will regain some more shops and possibly some faith with the council.
  8. They know what I eat and where I live!!
  9. With the Oval being shut http://www.herefordvoice.co.uk/topic/2085-the-oval-building-site/?p=29422&do=findComment&comment=29422 Now would be a good time to switch the lights off.
  10. Up to date information I have received, the oval junction will be closed for about 2 1/2 weeks or so as of Monday 11th; access for EMS vehicles only. This is for unavoidable essential groundworks to take place. Broxash Drive will continue to remain closed for the next 18months. Obviously this is going to cause a headache or two during the morning rush, please allow extra time for your journey. Alternative access to Belmont Road would be via Goodrich Grove or Southolme Road.
  11. Sign up, join in, keep fit, have fun. No Prejudice. Any size any shape any gender any age (18+ for legal reasons) http://herefordrollergirls.co.uk/january-2016-news/
  12. Im sure you will all join me in giving a warm welcoming to our latest new members. In the past month alone, 17 people have joined Hereford Voice. This just shows how prominent this forum is becoming in Herefordshire. All credit is due to Colin. Welcome All, and feel free to voice your opinions on local subjects.
  13. The secret handshake has been around for many many years! The Illuminati opens the eyes, & makes you think outside the box! One of the founding principles of the Illuminati that is misunderstood is that it was against superstition and “obscurantism†– which is when facts are deliberately withheld from the public. Strange that!
  14. Ahhh but the mud then turns to dust clouds, making the air chewy!! If we get summer that is! ;) Tasty.
  15. Shall I ask Keepmoat to shut the oval early and also Kilvert road at the junctions of Trilleck & Charlton, access for the handful of occupying residents only? Then shoppers can park in Beattie avenue and use the crossing to access to the oval shops. Foot pedestrians can use either Waterfield rd & Goodrich gr and Belmont road, or the lines, over the bridge and down the other side and again use the crossing, both of which are now largely construction traffic free. Keeps everybody safe and the Oval still gets its business. Everybody happy? Sorry I can't help the weather. On a positive note, Keepmoat are aware of this topic on here, and also on facespace.
  16. I'm not taking swipes at anyone Denise. Thanks for being honest. I know pedestrian safety is paramount among construction works. It is all fenced off, pedestrian areas are clearly marked and footpaths kept clear where possible. ( if not safe pedestrian access barriers are erected). If these parents are concerned about the construction traffic, then maybe they should keep a closer eye on the children and construction vehicles to anticipate movement, make the drivers aware you are there, it works for me; or avoid the area completely? Like I previously said, there are other 'blase' routes. Most parents I've encountered 'on the run' have their face in the phone or too busy gossiping two pushchairs abreast forcing others into the road, not even watching where the kids are. Not all but most. This week alone I have nearly hit 3 children on my bike, on the road and I wasn't going fast. Lack of education I believe, as you said "young mums"!
  17. It has come to my attention that there has been a considerable amount of anger & frustration at the regeneration of 'The Oval' over on Mybook Facespace or whatever it is? In particular, construction traffic and muddy roads etc. As I have been briefed, the case is, that someone will get run over by the construction traffic, excessive amounts of mud on the roads and health and safety issues amongst others; One jolly fellow even posted the site managers phone number and email , the disbelief! Its not that hard to find!! As I live on said construction site, in their defence, they have two sweepers constantly on the go daily, one is done by the forklift drivers with a big brush, the other is a contracted Wye Valley scarab thingy! The construction traffic will always allow traffic to pass where feasible, and wait if you are approaching. The trouble is really from other road users who have no consideration when parking at the oval and those who are racing around the site trying to short-cut the Belmont road traffic; many times I have had a near miss from oncoming traffic, who are speeding and unaware of the the Highway Code. Then you have the school walk folk moaning about how their kids are going to get knocked over on the road! Hello! - What are they doing on the road in the first place? As I too do the nursery ride, I use the lines, gaining entry from Newman Close, avoiding most of the construction traffic and using the highway code, and not using the Belmont road entry as most of these 'moaners' do. There is also the Ethelstan Crescent entry for those that live further up. As for Health and Safety, quit the fags, do more exercise than just walking the kids to school and keep your kids under control; You may live longer and keep your kids safe in the process! There are frequent site visits from H&S personnel, and I’m damn sure if there were any issues they will be dealt with immediately. Oh and as of Monday 11th the Oval road will be shut. So you'll have to walk further or use Goodrich Grove. The Oval Shops will be open for business as normal. Rant over. If someone would like to share to the Facespace page please do. Rich, Neil, Dave and the Keepmoat team have kept me happy.
  18. Which one?? They have had many over the years! It's not copywrited or TM so it's fair game. There are many similar logos, without lawsuits. Sun Microsystems & Colombia sportswear, Ubuntu & Human Rights. Chances are that ANY logo is similar to another. Design & Marketing I'm afraid.
  19. Went in there today at 1pm opened at 1230. Full house. Had to wait an hour for our burgers, but that was expected, and it really didn't seem that long. The atmosphere was buzzing and we had prime seats next to the grill so watched the masters at work. There were no returned orders, that says a lot! The wait was worth it. By about 230pm the wait was reduced to 20mins. It really was a 1 in 1 out and they were still queing on our way out. A superb meal. They are now closed till Thursday to "iron out teething troubles" as planned. The only thing that needs ironing out is my belly!! Well done boys and thank you. And see you again soon.
  20. Barriers are up and doing their job. http://www.farsondigitalwatercams.com/locations/hereford
  21. Ok but, Slight difference there, that that was a high profile case with another high profile tweeter both with £££££m to persue it further. I recall Tommy Agombar stating he was going to sue everyone defaming him........ He's none the wiser now!! "Freedom of speech and expression are recognised under the European Convention of Human Rights as fundamental human rights. In Britain these rights can be found as early as 1215 in the Magna Carter. Everyone has the right to freedom of speech and expression, and has the right to voice their opinions and to freely receive and give out information. Prior to the Human Rights Act, the freedom of expression was permitted as long as the law did not prevent it. But the Human Rights Act now guarantees under the law the rights to freedom of speech and expression." It's not what you know it's who you know.
  22. This afternoon I took Little Miss Dilligaf out for a bike ride. Within an hour the river had risen a fair few inches. Tonight and Tomorrow I expect there will be some disruptive flooding throughout the shire. Speaking to a few folks on the way, all brought one question............. Why do we not dredge the Wye anymore, surely it would alleviate considerable flooding? The silt lifted can then be given to the farmers for crop spraying. Photos can be found here.
  23. With the power of social media nowadays, nothing is restricted. It is only restricted to being published by the mainstream media. If a person/s wants to divulge this information, so is their prerogative. Social media is just that, social! It can only be policed to a certain extent. The right tweet can go viral in minutes, is everyone who RTd going to be prosecuted?
