  1. Yes Flam that's the spirit.
  2. You might be right..I might save it for my blog site...promising to keep the voice possy out of artists fire!
  3. Now there you are Councillor this was before my time however having recently watched the BBC Drama ' A casual Vacancy'my mind has quite wrongly placed a picture in my head!
  4. Personally I can't even use a 2HB pencil and sharpening it well that's an exam in itself! There has been many a time when the mind has caught something of great amusement but the hand can only write it down rather than explode with artistic flair and creativity notching up a je suis charlie masterpiece ...funny but not worthy of a semi automatic assault rifle! Now I'm anonymous and quite frankly thats not a bad thing however my mind has worked overtime in picturing the likes of Bobby47, Twg, Dippy 'boots' Hippy...should I go on! So we have characters on this site and we certainly have characters in this forthcoming election so why don't we have a cartoonist to spice things up??
  5. The frustration for me does not lie with the hoarding or what ultimately dresses it's surface. No it's the fact that it suggests that it's going to be around a long time and that is a shame. We can't ignore but we can't treat until consent is given. In healthcare there is nothing worse than offering a life saving solution but for whatever reason the patient refuses your help. Eventually we will see restoration but for now we wait, we observe,we comment.
  6. Hi Colin...Well for what it's worth I think your second idea would be great as a leaflet so I would be keen to know the cost of this. Our HT advert is not going to be large so it needs to be minimal and therefore would go for Megi,s third phrase.

  8. You might be right Roger...perhaps poppies will appear in the Spring/Summer next year!
  9. This has been up a while TWG certainly most of February.
  10. Well without tempting fete I would like to congratulate Dippy for her passion and her Captains for driving this campaign! Reading through this topic has probably been my first paperless read. I still prefer books of paper but on this occasion there was no better way and thanks Megi for your summary back in April!
  11. Well no doubt the person who set this up is long gone and living in Jersey.. probably. As for rolling heads well I've grown tired of this and besides Sir Gawain is well past it! Sorry couldn,t help myself Flam.
  12. Well I'm not going to quote it but having read this latest development on HT I am a absolutely appalled..where is our brother from the Wirral he will love this! I'm actually surprised that there's not been the excuse " media restrictions apply for it might damage our case"
  13. please Megilleland..say it's not so. The trouble is that during these dark times I invested in a cheaper suit of armour! I've cried so much upon reading said dispatches that my suit is starting to rust!
  14. Well this is very useful and I'm sure we can add a few more as a number of the speed bumps in Folly Lane and Church Road are breaking up!
  15. "Assistant Director Place Based Commissioning Economy, Communities & Corporate Directorate" I would say that you couldn't make it up Ubique...but I think it probably was!!
  16. Hi Ragwert..I did wonder if this would work though to be honest if this was the case I would probably make this left turn earlier. I live just inside the St Pauls 20 mph zone so travelling down Church Road you have a couple choices to make this move. By removing this option off the junction it would help reduce risk and unrestrict flow.
  17. Sorry Flam I didn't see this post so just responded to Hereford Times article.
  18. Well Flam the armour is a little pitted these days with certain component parts missing or patched however if my pen is my sword then it can still swing and the old feet still work so long as I can elevate them to avoid fluid retention! Colin needs the catch phrase now and this should be reflected in any targeted leaflet campaign if we want to go this way! Herefordshire Councillors pre and post the May election need to feel that they are on notice to represent the electorate and not themselves!
  19. Yes I second these sentiments and have checked out your site Glenda! Gotta be honest I had two rants in town today ..firstly the Lib Dems . Of course the first one was directed at the coalition. "What choices did we have they cried" "there could have been another election" Well if they thought things were split then well they are not going to like what's coming!! I did want to know where this £43 million quid has gone for roads because apart from a bit of resurfacing near Callow and improvements on parts of the A49 through town the rest is a mystery. Nope I've warned them not to be to upset because I'm sure they really don't know how bad their losses will be. They were parked up next to the British Heart Foundation who were worthy of a visit. In the past this organisation has done great things unfortunately they have become rather too corporate and more recently have become exposed to research carried out on animals. They want to have shops on every high street which is expensive and employ those much needed marketing types with salaries to match. They can even be picky about what second hand furniture they have. My money today went to St Michael's Hospice.
  20. No conspiracy theories here as I'm fully aware of who has responsibility for which class of road and it doesn't matter actually because the class A roads are just as bad as those B & C class types. No my question is a simple one ..as a Limited Company it needs business to survive so I guess unless it's totally voluntary who provides the finance to keep this marketing organisation going because if it's private enterprise I would be complaining that I'm not really getting my monies worth! It does not matter which road you drive into this County it's a disgrace..pot holes, absence of any white lines, missing signage, litter..tons of litter but don't worry because just on the borders you will see a sign "here you can" .... You see the thing is this...why should I have to pay for damage to a defibrillator in the back of my car which I self fund because of a huge unavoidable pothole. Then once pulling over at the nearest lay by I step out into ankle deep litter with that wonderfull smell of urine and visible human faeces.
  21. So it appears that the mighty Manchester will take control of the £6 billion pound budget for healthcare and run a joined up approach to health & social care. This is a positive step but a huge undertaking, millions of people dozens of councils large and small. I understand that others like Leeds are planning the same. No more passing the buck everything under the same roof. Nearly four years ago I sat around a table in the board room at Hereford Hospital where I understood it was to be a pilot for the same after all everything says it should work in this County. Then I was just an Ambassador for the Patients Association and shortly afterwards moved on but how it saddens me that all these years later a small frigate of a healthcare system has been unable to achieve this manoveuer when a battle cruiser like Manchester has researched, project managed and instigated a sea change in continuity of care. Good Luck Manchester.
