Anything on there that even vaguely hints at questioning the party line is just a recipe for abuse - unless that is what you were looking for???? Many fans will just agree with the Hales bid because it is backed (yes there will be a member vote) by HUST. Who knows who make up his consortium and what their financial clout or expertise is? Truly, I just knew that 'you' would have read it and I knew that you'd most definitely mention it either via PM or upon the Open Forum. I honestly thought I'd give it a go, dip my toe in and see if I could dig out anyone who, like you and I had some doubts about the direction of travel of our team. Hurt and bruised? Not at all. I feel that in the next few weeks, more information about the Hales/HUST bid will be forthcoming, and maybe information about other interested parties, but let's not be rash. I personally, will wait and make my decision when I have facts not presumptions in front of me. I am a member of the Trust, and fully support the board, and I can understand your viewpoint, but until all the relevant sides show their cards, we are only guessing their intentions. Myself, I can't wait to take my seat in B Block again, this last six months has been a nightmare but hopefully the future will be see a proper Community Club that the City of Hereford can be proud of. I've got a terrible fear that the Council will carve up the leases, the ground will be asset stripped by those who have the ear of Mr Bretherton and Stanhope and Mr Jon Hale, though well meaning and full of good intentions will not be able to fund his role of King. It's simply how I see it. Yes, it's the glass half empty view of things and I dearly wish I were more optimistic and able to hoist both Jon and Chris upon my shoulders, but I just can't bring myself to imagine that all this chaos will all work out in favour of you, me and anyone else who simply wanted to watch a game. secretsquirrel Posted January 3, 2015 Report Share Posted January 3, 2015 I have been an avid reader of Hereford Voice for about 12 months now, but when I decided to take the plunge to register, couldn`t think of an old hotel!!!! The Council is my worry, with that I agree with you, but in an election year, maybe wishful thinking, there is nothing in this county that can match the potential amount of pro-United voters. I haven`t listened to Jon Hales interview this afternoon on BBC H&W, but apparently he came across well with a lot of passion, but will reserve judgement until I listen to it on iPlayer. With regard to your glass being empty, anybody that has followed United for any amount of time, will concur with you on that, but after the last six months, I have found a new wave of passion and optimism for our Football Club again, and I`m not ashamed to admit it, but with all the coverage of the Newcastle game this week, have shed a tear about what was and what has happened since, even though I was only 4 in 1972. Sorry to keep typing United, but we will always be Hereford United in my eyes. It`s a New Year, with new hope, and all of my dreams will come true one year, just hope that it is this year! I initially was amused that some of them thought you were part of the "Essex mafia" rather than along standing fan. But perhaps what you posted was just be a bit too blunt for them as most are of limited intelligence. Then tend to hunt as a pack. For me the mess they are in over the leases just demonstrates a lack of foresight but they always know best. It contains a huge number of very passionate Hereford Supporters who, unfortunately for them, have become infested and dominated by a small number that you could easily describe as a howling mob. That said, the problem that these dominant figures present is they infect many around them and consequently many more are encouraged to behave in an aggressive and irrational way so as to be accepted by those that decide what is right and what is wrong. The weaker ones do their utmost to please the stronger ones. Of course this is perfectly natural human behaviour. It's true. People can often behave like sheep and be lead to a place they'd rather not be in which is where Bulls Banter is now. The good thing, and it really was a pleasant surprise, the abuse that can get poured upon you is very limited and infantile, badly presented, rarely surprising and often pleasantly received. Being called a ' Bell.end', a Fu.ck.ing Troll, an Essex Troll and a boring tw.at are things which give you a boost if you are on the receiving end because you know that their vocabulary is so limited, that's pretty much the very worst they can do. It's beyond them to really get under your skin and cause any real hurt. Sadly, because these few who's intelligence is quite low, they don't realise how dull and thick they are and how bright and intelligent those others are that have become their figures of hate. In their limited imaginations, everyone that can put together an intelligent and well thought out idea about something, is either a relative of a former proprietor, a friend of a former proprietor or a conspirator against John Hale and Hereford United Supporters Trust. When my friend Aylestone Voice describes them as hunting in packs, it's true. They decide quite quickly that you are conspirator, they demand to know who you are, they call you silly names and then, in my case, they make a phone call and you get banned. There are a good number of bright and articulate posters amongst their number who, for many understandable reasons choose to remain quiet for fear that the howling mob will accuse them of a crime. It's not to different to the Salem Witch Trials or the McArthey Senate hearings when being labelled a communist meant you'd never work again. For me and those who didn't support the boycott of our Club and didn't buy into the madness that has unfolded, we've now got no voice. Mr Hale wanted to become King, Mr Williams and Mr Watson of HUST wanted the same and for all the plots and schemes to overthrow Mr Keyte, Mr Agomba and Mr Lonsdale we are all left with a two sided ground( I happen to believe the Club will eventually get the Merton End) playing at a ridiculously low level of the football pyramid. Worse, now HUST have been given a mandate to continue upon their chosen path, the vast majority of supporters are waking up moaning and groaning that they only voted 'Yes' because there was no other option. In short, it's all madness. We've all been dragged into a place where we never wanted to be in because Mr Hale and HUST decided very early on that they'd poke Mr Keyte with a big stick until he sold them the empire for a quid. Sadly Mr Keyte was no different to many of us. Instead of handing over the prize to Mr Hale, he wrongly became stubborn and shifted the burden to Mr Agomba to spite his tormentors from HUST. Other than the odd twist and turn, that's pretty much that and any further discussion regarding the chain of events that saw Mr Hale crowned King of Hereford Football Club, is now pointless. It's all ruined because of egos. Me? I'm going to go to Edgar Street as I always have and with my Grandson I'm going to sit in my seat and pretend to myself that I'm watching Hereford United and try and forget that so many people chose to be whipped up into a frenzy and be carried away upon a wave of hysteria that saw my Club destroyed. I tried to persuade the Chairman of Committee to hold meeting at 5pm when all you guys will have finished work but he refused. silent bull Posted February 1, 2015 Report Share Posted February 1, 2015 £600,000 he did say, and I can honestly say that I have no idea where? hardly any bills had been paid or staff or players??? think it's more like £60 at a stretch!! now I know Jon hale and can honestly say that he is a big supporter of the club than anyone I also know Martin Watson from Hust and he won't just follow anything I can assure you. Now to 'bullsbanter', there has always been arguments on there (it's what drives it sadly)but it started getting worse since 'warning signs' started to show under 'Keyte'(my view towards him cannot be printed in any form believe me)then apart from a short (about) two weeks when Agombar took over the club and the arguments (quite rightly) just got worse, not helped by Lonsdale and their monkey 'Nathan' started posting on there too (some people still think Lonsdale is still posting on there). Now bullsbanter is having posts on there 'not only' from pro Hust but also pro Agombar/Lonsdale and (most think) from Keytes son. so, at the moment and until things start to settle down (which won't be for a while) it's going to get worse before it gets better. I want the Council to hear in full about what's happened on Bulls Banter to The One, The Bulls Banter One and, after a debate, some deliberation and a full Council vote, I fully expect the Council to order Bulls Banter to allow me to login and have my say. This wrong must be put right. If it ain't put right then it'll remain wrong and if it remains wrong then it'll never be put right which means god knows what! There's gotta be some justice out there. When our new club takes up the tenancy, the Council have agreed that our supporters will have access to it and the only hurdle now left is the length of the tenancy. It'll be between five and seven years. How do I know? Because I do. Course, the fact that I transmitted the knowledge that we would win the Meadow End, despite all around howling, 'this is the end', because the two ends were not incorporated into the tenancy, nobody is ever going to revisit the confusion upon Bulls Banter and acknowledge that I was correct. No such glory for me. I'm bloody banned and as far as the howling mob are concerned I'm just another conspirator who, because I could think for myself and expressed myself without having to sniff amylnitrate and call people names, I ain't getting back into the Bulls Banter House. And who do I blame? The attack dog Spencer who's numerous written offerings moreoften than not include the phrases, 'who are you'. Essex Troll. F..off and snide remarks that signal to the other members of 'the pack' that they've found another target to belittle and call names.
