  1. Let us hope that the PA will be handled with the dignity and respect it deserves. Very sad for the family and friends.
  2. DENISE LLOYD â€@DENISEL37953929 10m10 minutes ago Please have a look at this petition, it means a lot to me: https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/save-the-old-boys-home?bucket=&source=twitter-share-button … via @38_degrees 9:36 AM - 5 Oct 2014 · Details This is a petition started by Hereford Visions
  3. Why didn't they just issue dustbins to everybody all very silly to me?
  4. 1 hour ago "There are over 600,000 empty homes in England. Let us know if you see any on your way home! http://bit.ly/1pAODK0 This has been posted on Twitter by the CPRE." I can count 7 empty homes within a quarter mile radius of me

  6. Yes Jess has stepped out of line again he was ever so slightly ignored on the last reshuffle wonder what his punishment will be this time
  7. Yes I have the funny feeling that this like some other PA's is already done and dusted before it even reaches Planning Committee Remember the trees in Edgar Street the demolishers will move in when everybody is still snug in their beds and Bob's your uncle
  8. Meggieland funny you should say that I drove into town this morning and was hit by the sight of the blue sign - it does not exactly blend in - as horrible as the place is I would just prefer to see a plain brown brick wall. A sign as big and garish as it is surely in nicer towns it would have been banned by the town's planners. Interestingly still not found tenants for some of the front shops/units doesn't look good.
  9. If anybody is late doing their letters I believe you can still send them in. The only thing you would not be able to do is to speak at the Planning Committee. So those still hesitating write in even it is just one line it will count!
  10. The objection from Hereford Civic Soc is now on the PA website if somebody who has not already done their letter feels the need to add a bit of guts to their letter. Or if so minded you can also do a 2nd objection. I did mine this morning prior to reading HCS's .
  11. http://www.herefordtimes.com/news/11490449.Named___four_former_senior_officers_of_Herefordshire_Council_who_received_compensation_payments_worth_more_than___135_500/?ref=var_0 Try this
  12. So that's where all our money has gone - lost for words
  13. All is not lost Bobby has gained fame " At a public debate in Hereford last night, a question from the floor related to the bullying row was refused. The questioner attempted to ask Cllr Johnson for his views on “alleged payments made to council staff for them to keep quiet about certain matters relating to their roleâ€. The panel chairman ruled that the question couldn’t be allowed as he didn’t think the four panellists could provide an answer. Those other panellists were It’s Our County leader Cllr Anthony Powers, the Lib Dems’ parliamentary candidate for South Herefordshire, Lucy Hurds, and Liz Morawiecka from the Here4Hereford group." Taken from Mr Tanner's Friday offering in the HT. Naive it maybe but I keep on saying that when these Leaders say they did not know what was going on they are probably being honest. They rely on their minions to keep them informed and they foolishly trust them instead of talking to the real people in the Council - the workers. I have seen it go on not in the Council but in various places of work. The MD asks the Manager if everything is ok the Manage not wishing to show he is not doing his job properly says everything is just fine and dandy and the MD believes him. But one day it all falls apart and then there is egg on face.
  14. http://www.herefordtimes.com/news/11482549.Top_fire_service_salaries_revealed_ahead_of_vote_on_cutting_999_cover/?ref=var_0 hope it works -Top fire service salaries revealed plus expenses to councillors on Fire Committee
  15. No Meggieland I meant reps on the PA website - there are so far only 3 showing
  16. They are also being very slow in putting the representations on the website
  17. The same can be said for industrial sized chicken houses. So many PA's are being passed for them. How many chicken houses do we actually need? Mind you it is worth bearing in mind to apply for just one chicken house there is a fee of £10k.
  18. I have yet to be convinced that there is a massive house shortage in Herefordshire. The Oval's residents were (of which there were many) were absorbed into other available properties. There are houses on the market and up for rent and remain so for many months. The needs of the ageing population or the retirees change as they become more infirm and there is a "certain amount of natural wastage". Many youngsters move away to find better paid jobs and better prospects. The huge amount of seasonal workers are only looking for short term lettings some stay and make Hereford their home. Are all these prospective houses purchasers or renters people who work out of the county? So many PA's are being passed now for houses which of course is a very valuable income for HC. Is this where the real need is?
  19. I think the Leader could just about manage to put that reply together. Will the site for the new fire station be large enough to allow an extension to cover the proposed growth in Herefordshire please?
  20. How the Councillor's replies differ there is for example Liz Harvey and dear Glenda being very helpful and there is Jeremy Millar. Surely he has an opinion or if he hasn't I am sure some of his constituents have.
  21. Ah but .................... As per the HT a little while ago HC have done a u turn on the debt so that their can be redevelopment etc etc I am unable to copy the link perhaps somebody cleverer than I can do the honours!
