  1. Yes I heard that this morning and straightaway thought HC will be next but it does only apply to the mega large supermarkets. In fairness to Tescos/Sainsburys and I expect Morrisions do do an awful lot for local charities and that really does count. I would rather see them contribute to local charities than to HC where anything contributed just gets gobbled up in large salaries and generous expenses to already overpaid suits!
  2. Thank you now I understand it. Any plain speaking person(which in my experience are the most productive) wouldn't get a look in just because they don't talk the talk.
  3. Slightly off topic but still on one of our favoured subjects. Yet another quite well paid post is being created by the Council. What on earth has happened to the plain straightforward job spec listing duties. Page after page of crud. I wonder if the people applying for the post really know what they are applying for. A person is being paid handsomely to create these job specs. HC clearly just do not get it complicated highly paid posts are not what is required to get this county right. It is dare I say it the ordinary labouring posts needed to get this county back to what it once was. Get the city and outskirts clean tidy and not smelling of pi*% and sick. Things should naturally fall into place Anybody coming to Hereford for an interview would not be impressed with what they see so the Council start with a minus because they do not get top drawer in the first place. Could somebody out there who actually understands council speak translate the job spec and say what exactly is the job in terms that joe public would understand. 4. I got 56% room for improvement it was home ownership and religion that did for me
  5. Lovely little dog well what used to be a beautifully cared for piece of grass is now a horrendous mess and will take some kind of work to get it back. They should be frog marched around all these areas and shown what a mess it all is and shamed into admitting that they have cocked up big time.
  6. With all the revelations over the last few days I think it would be fair to say that this present Conservative led Council has lost any credibility. Any business dealings they have had and decisions they have made are now questionable.
  7. and coming out of New Market Street to go to Ross you can't see the lights because of overgrown branches - absolutely disgraceful and downright dangerous
  8. Whilst not in the confines of the city the following for 90 houses will affect the traffic flow on the A465. There is rumour that another PA will be submitted shortly for a further 85 houses next to Clehonger school. This could be at least another 200 cars pouring into town. Number P141964/O Historic Reference Number Current status Valid Type Outline Location Land off Madley Road Clehonger Herefordshire HR2 9TE
  9. It's infectious this organisation within an organisation with a twist of a recruitment agency http://www.herefordtimes.com/news/11347363.Former_Hereford_United_chairman_to_chair_recruitment_company_s_board/?ref=var_0
  10. PA for 110 homes at Hampton Dene Road was approved today at the Planning Committee. The Tesco PA at Ross was refused.
  11. There is a post advertised - Research and Intelligence Officer - with HC salary circa £20k, Reading the job spec it would appear to be a grossly underpaid post. The poor person will have to work her/his socks off to complete all the tasks requested. £20k is not even near the average wage for the area and somebody applying for this job would in my opinion have to be pretty desperate or end up pretty desperate. Based on this job spec it would be interesting to read the job specs for those HC staff on mega bucks. I see Ethica certainly received lots of money in June, It would almost pay the HC to set up their own staff agency - it could be another organisation within an organisation.
  12. On the land between the A465 and the A49 there are two council farms (we are all eagerly awaiting Bramer's feasibility study of same). The proposed new road will run through these. I get the feeling there will be more family silver being sold to achieve the goal. There is still time to complete the online questionnaire if anybody has strong feelings about this. Yes I was incorrect you can complete it online and you don't have to put your name to it either. Is Caradoc at Ross one of Bramer's residences since his relationship break up I have lost track a bit?.
  13. http://www.herefordtimes.com/news/11335737.Herefordshire_Council_and_Hereford_United_linked_by_council_s__arm_s_length__company/?ref=var_0 and yet another chapter in this never ending saga
  14. Glad somebody said it. It was beginning to resemble a couple of months ago and I don't patronise this site to witness 2 grown men falling out.
  15. I thought he was on sick leave convenient that he should have a nice pay rise then go off on lengthy sick leave. Perhaps that's a little harsh but ho hey.
  16. Quote Hello Denise, I have put a transcript of an interview about this here - scroll down to post 7. Meggieland sorry going to pick your brains again - do you know where I can find transcript of this interview please
  17. http://newsroom.herefordshire.gov.uk/2014/july/funding-for-two-major-infrastructure-projects-granted.aspx Seems like there will be the link road regardless of last weeks consultation. That magic number of jobs that will be created has reared it's ugly head again.
  18. http://t.co/9WLXzxbVPt Yet another chapter in this never ending saga. What is it about Hereford as a county. The lies and the deliberate deceit that continue to be told in so many different areas of life. Why can nobody ever stand up and say this is how it happened and so and so is involved. Don't know about this link we'll see!
  19. Tried to put this link on but had a hick on my computer https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/327590/36_The_Marches_Growth_Deal.pdf so ignore my previous effort
  20. Don't talk about Roger like that - only joking. Makes me realise how fortunate I am with my neighbours. Nightmare having bad neighbours.
  21. M Preece - This has always been a favoured place for the imbibers. Forty years ago I lived at Hafod Road and walked to work at Hereford Produce Widemarsh Street through this graveyard and they were there well obviously not the same ones! There was one with a German Shepherd Dog they were a bit spooky sometimes but mostly ok. Some things don't change.
  22. Tried to edit my comment didn't want to know. Not only do they not have the common sense but do not really have the working knowledge to make decisions on grass maintenance. So many text book decisions are made nowadays without thought for the consequences. The consequences of the decision on grass cutting is a county that looks truly awful and will contnue to look so for quite some time. There is a piece of grass near to the houses at Roman Way Stretton Sugwas which is managed by Hereford Housing. It is exemplary. HC and BB take note and see how a job should be done. You all would have earned so many brownie points.
