Another thing is if they'd identify the sites back in 2010 the council must have seen the report back then? so why have they fail to comply with the needs of HWFRS in there location for a new station on any of the sites suggested in the report?

8 bay fire station is a requirement? I suppose it was back in 2010 when this report was done? before the cuts now they can't afford a station that size! So has the requirement changed now to a 4 bay station?

Site 4a does not mention anything about demolition work so it cannot be the old boys home? Last week @ HWFRS drop in I was talking with Sean Bailey the chief fire officer in Hereford & he said that they had looked @ the old sun valley site the one that burned down is this the mystery site 4a???

@ m preece yes back in the day fond memories!! I'm not being critically I'm all for getting hot food after 1.30am, but human behaviour has not changed that much it just happens @ different times throughout the night, now instead of a mass brawl or even a mine riot which happen back in the late 80's on a New Year's Eve in high town when little fights evolved into the crowd turning on the police! I live on st Owen street & it's pretty quiet to be fair but it wouldn't bother me if it was busy late @ nite as I do live in the centre of the city & I feel it goes with the territory so I should expected it really!!

I would have to say I agree with stupidfrustraition Back when the ip sisters was open poor mr ip would regularly have to intervene because of drunken people fighting & abusing his wife.same used to happen when the crystal rooms was open in the takeaways down bridge st. so unfortunately when you have a lot of people who have been drinking heavily late @ nite it is often accompanied with some sort of disorder too! Although I don't think it should be left to one security firm to do the job as that would creat a monopoly in my opinion?!

Bobby you are like a marvel superhero!! Personally I think that the root cause is a combination of bad management from senior managers & the ineptitude of the council cabinet all feeding off the cash cow that is local government? The foot soldiers of the council doing the frontline work are all saints for having to put up with the idiots @ the top day in & day out with no light @ the end of the tunnel but they need to help us help them? So like bobby I agree they've got to start blowing those whistles!!!!

Ok I've done some scaling of the fire station size across the front it measures roughly 45meters across & down the side it's roughly 47meters this may have no bearing but it's interesting to know all the same that is for those who won't to know? Also there are only 4 doors for the engines where as the current one has 5 so they've factored in the cuts to the purposed new station it would seem??

Just a thought has HWFRS really done the design for the new fire station to go over on Merton meadow? As crazy as this sounds it wouldn't look out of place sited over there next to the football ground?

Merton meadow is a big site also the council have given compulsory order notifies to arrow plant hire crw carpets the beds place next to football ground & poss bp filling station on my understanding maybe someone can confirm?

Bobby I would like to say I'm sorry! But I'm not I've always wanted to start a war & now I'm on the verge of starting one? which by the way will be know as the great button pushing war! So I'm afraid I've gone to far down the line now to turn-back! it will be like a posting Armageddon the like of which has never been seem before? The carnage will be vast, damaged keyboards will litter the land & A&E will be overrun with people with sore fingers so much so that they will run out of plasters to treat the victims?! Megilleland I spoke with him today as i'd rang him the same day as you had email him & he was returning the call but he did say that he needed to send you an email also. he also explained to me that although they deal in the West Midlands they don't cover Hereford? So he gave me there London office number as apparently we are in there area???

Yes roger one poorly designed building is one to many so it shouldn't be allowed to happen again!!

Yes totally agree Aylestone voice no point in confusing the planners. As the design is that bad & certainly not wot I'd like to see in place of the old boys home!!
