  1. I just read this on another forum, 'Pause For Thoughts'
  2. I see the HT have finally caught up with this one http://www.herefordtimes.com/news/14448067.Plans_submitted_to_convert_former_Hereford_pub_into_flats/
  3. Congratulations your 90th birthday is a huge milestone.
  4. I see no reason why he cannot keep the gun as long as it is decommissioned, i'm sure he earned his souvenir.
  5. Excellent news, it is so good to see Hereford doing well and attracting some large crowds, well deserved.
  6. Good luck lets all keep our fingers crossed.
  7. The tree idea is ridiculous and will cause even bigger problems long term, the council cannot afford to pay BB now for tree maintenance so can you imagine what this will look like in 10 years time! I agree with Denise, emergency vehicles use the middle section of the road and in my opinion it should be kept clear.
  8. Rather than we all carry on arguing about which is the best route, lets just get on with it now and get it built or it will never happen!
  9. I cannot think of anything worse for Belmont Rd right now than narrowing the road and placing trees down the centre. Why are the council and highways agency NOT addressing the real issue here which is the poxy traffic lights and the fact that we need at least 2 more river crossings for starters. Reading this report, they have not even considered turning off the traffic lights at night, which I though was a brilliant idea.
  10. You know how difficult it is to prove they are selling dodgy fags and stuff but they still continue! So all they have to do then each time their licence for booze (which is their main income no doubt hence why they dot won't to loose it) is revoked or they end up in court, is change the business owner and start all over again?
  11. I do not agree, I think the opposite, he has done the right thing and handled this better than expected.
  12. I appreciate that but refusing a booze licence will impact of their business.
  13. Guess what? Zardashit Karem Salh has sold/handed over the business to his brother, how predictable! Wait for the new license application to be submitted.
  14. They should close them down and certainly not give them their alcohol licence back, they rely on this and still are offering dodgy cigarettes! They also do not pay their staff the minimum wage, all staff earn only £4 per hour, (more fool them I know). I also heard that the new shop on the Belmont Rd (Mila) is also selling doggy fags and have employed an illegal migrant who came here from Calais under a lorry, these people are just taking the micky and appear to be getting away with it, they should clamp down on them.
  15. Newton Brook, Belmont Brook, which is which?
  16. Well done to Tesco for taking the initiative, I agree, we should not have starving people in 2016. Lets hope other supermarkets and companies follow their lead.
  17. How can you rape 2 girls at the same time, all very strange, well that is how it appears at the moment. I would of expected such a terrible crime to be major news in Hereford but it all seem to be low key.
  18. This must be so scary for the women of Hereford. I hope he is caught sooner rather than later, sick bastard! Oh and please lets not hear when they eventually catch up with him that he has led a deprived life and all all that crap!
  19. What makes you think that I have not already done that? Do not worry everything that can be done has been.
  20. Last time they were raided, I heard that they were tipped off by a former copper. The police should ONLY inform a select few people and let all the other staff know when they are on route to the raid, that will narrow down these con men being tipped off and if they still get wind it will be easier to find out who is giving them the nod.
  21. Were the tires still inflated or did the driver just loose control?
  22. All for a good cause well done peeps
  23. From the HC website: Agreement to pursue the right to compulsorily purchase the fire damaged building at 16-18 High Town in Hereford was made at a meeting of the council’s cabinet today, Thursday 11 February. The move will mean that, in the event that no significant progress has been made to redevelop the site, the council can take action to purchase the building and ensure its regeneration. The building is currently in the hands of its former owner’s receiver who went into liquidation last year. If the receiver fails to sell the building over the coming months to a party with plans to restore the building, the council may then pursue the option to buy. The fire, which happened in October 2010, left the building extensively damaged and it was reported as being one of the most severe fires known to have occurred in modern day Herefordshire.
