  1. The lasted much longer than expected but it is time to knock them down and build some new homes.
  2. We were advised last year that the bypass had bee paused, we have to wait yet another 6 months, frustrating indeed, I did believe that the new council would be more proactive than this tbh
  3. Boris for me and time to get shot of Corbyn and his cabinet of clowns
  4. About time!! I am surprised that have not been forced to change these hideous colours sooner completely not in keeping with the surrounding shops.
  5. I am just listening to this lay in the bath, I fast forwarded to the section where councillor Rone speaks, like you have said, it is not their idea Colin so they will always dismiss them, even though most Herefordians accept that the traffic situation is much better when the light are out of order, I think that is pretty evident.
  6. I have just downloaded this from the Hereford website, to me, your vehicle should not need a permit, so I would be tempted to complain
  7. I had the same problem when I took an old carpet from my mums house. I borrowed my friends little van and I could not leave it, so I literally had to come home and budge it all into the back of my car with the seats down, same bloke just smiled and allowed me to tip it, it is stupid, jobs worths!
  8. He hee this is funny, happy new year bobby47 and to all members
  9. So much for late night shopping in Hereford city centre, most closed at 8pm! Did I imagine it or something because I thought late night shopping was until 9pm? I was kicked out of Millets, then I went to Regatta and the door was shut as I approached, I went into M&S got upstairs and was then told by a member of staff that they were closed. JD Sports and Boots all closed. There were many people who thought the same thing, I wish I had stayed at the Old Market now because that was all open for business.
  10. It was never an issue for me growing up, most of these cyclists ride on the footpaths then on the road as and when it suits them.
  11. I just cycled over the old bridge and the river has burst banks, the footpath towards the downing club is blocked.
  12. Ha ha ha this gave me a chuckle. Bigger sentences required, up until now all they appear to do with these Iraqi people is give them a slap on the wrist. I am surprised that the local Polish community don't kick off because this is giving these innocent people and bad name to some.
  13. Sorry to hear this news Colin. Look after yourself pal and wishing you a swift recovery
  14. Traffic build up has been no existent all weekend, leave the light off I say.
  15. They are turning empty shops into houses and now churches! I do not agree and I really hope that this application is refused.
  16. Unfortunately I think that they only see the revenue that these meters create.
  17. Chris, the bus service in Hereford is S H I T at best! Twice last week buses failed to turn up at all in Hunderton. There is no direct bus from Hunderton to the train station or Holmer, you have to change buses and pay again at least I could of used a tram which is not a solution to the whole of Hereford but would help dramatically, many people are in favour of utilising the great western way by adding a tram service, but as this is not one of your ideas I understand why it does not have your backing..
  18. I agree, the tram idea is one of the best for Hereford in the absence of a bypass. I believe the idea of costs where relatively low and just a few sponsors would cover it. The bridge over the river used to carry coal trains but I agree it would need updating for sure. The tram could run from the top of NF all the way into the train station and they could even open the old tracks which ran to the top of Holmer and going the other way down into Rotherwas.
  19. Welcome to the club. We do not venture out much in the week but we do pop into Hogarths for a drop of gin most weekends (Commercial Road)
