  1. No seconded! They appear not to have a game plan and if they do they are easily led into another route and so on
  2. No doubt this is listed it will probably also be like any property the Council have occupied - in a state! I wonder will this be an asset transfer or will it be rented out to the Uni. The Council do like to pass our heritage around and I am quite offended that this information first came from the National News. Now where does that leave Franklin House - also in a state! A little piece of Shire Hall history for anybody interested https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=12&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwibwua-6JDXAhUBNhoKHbrCBDI4ChAWCC4wAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.herefordtimes.com%2Fnews%2F15463174.Shire_Hall_to_open_historic_court_room_to_public%2F&usg=AOvVaw2XQyL_VZsUPtoyNuP5A7xF
  3. Trying to access HV today but something was hicking all the time. Anyway it could be called The Pricey Way. Tried to think along the lines of Robin Robinson but could not get any further. Enough of that could the dried up brooks cause a little bit of trouble for this much talked about Link Road?
  4. No doubt the opening speech will include the words it will save millions and is the best value for the tax payer - pah

  11. Here for Hereford†@HereforHereford 2h2 hours ago More @HfdsCouncil just stated that the 800 metre City Link Rd will now cost over £34M. Original budget £27M so £7m or 26% overspend.
  12. A Manchester based firm has purchased the former Chadds buildings on Commercial Street in Hereford. We have viewed some of the plans this morning and it appears that the units will include both shopping space mainly on the ground floor and residential space on the first floor of the buildings.
  13. So that's Starbucks - The Lunch Box - The Cat's Protection or RSPCA Charity shop opp the Bus Station - Elts all closed down in the last month or so. These are just the ones I know and I do not do town!
  14. The above item was deleted from Facebook shortly after. Whether it touched a nerve or was incorrect info remains to be seen.
  15. Your Herefordshire 25 mins · NEWS | Sources have told us that the opening of Hereford's much debated 'City Link Road' is now delayed until December, at the earliest.
  16. With all those responsibilities placed upon one Councillor no wonder the county is in such a financial mess

  20. HLUG Hereford Library Users Group Yesterday at 11:23 · FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 'PROJECT ON HOLD' Hereford 21st September 2017: Members of the Hereford Library Users Group and the many supporters of the 31 Broad Street project deeply regret that the work on the '31 Broad Street Project' has had to be put on hold due to unforeseen circumstances. The Herefordshire Council, together with the Museum Support group, have chosen to go ahead with a consultancy project into the future of the museum service, which cuts across the next stages in the work of the 31 Broad Street group. The project to re-imagine and redevelop the building on Broad Street has always been predicated on including both the Library and Museum. Regrettably this will mean that it will not be possible to meet the deadline set by the Cabinet of the Council for the 31 Broad Street team to come back with worked up plans and a satisfactory business plan by May 2018. Nor is it possible to raise any further funds from grants or charitable donations to support its work due to the uncertainty that has been created by the museum project. Les Watson, the chair of HLUG and the project leader for 31 Broad Street says “The 31 Broad Street group has worked very hard over the past 14 months, with consultancy support, to establish that it is feasible, and affordable to develop the Library and Museum building on Broad Street and that people want this to happen. For the Council to initiate a project that will explore alternative futures for the Museum at this stage completely undermines this work and makes a mockery of the considerable effort expended by the volunteers involved."
