  1. A long long time ago I used to eat my primary school dinners in this hall. The school was next door. The dinner lady was a wonderful lady and a wonderful cook called Mrs Seaborne. There you are a little bit of knowledge!
  2. This proposal affects the whole of the county - we are all tax payers - with that in mind I am amazed that (or am I) that the Consultation/Exhibition is not displayed in a few of the village halls in the county.
  3. Capita yet another one to keep an eye on!
  4. Sign of the times. When an area starts to look run down and unloved so crime spirals out of control.
  5. Gosh lots of income coming in which we never really hear about. HC Expenditure info is accessible to the public but from what I can find income info is not. Perhaps Meggilelland will prove me wrong because it would certainly be of interest
  6. Some more of our county going on the market https://t.co/YyY0MTAGhV and by all accounts Bramer is all set to sell Hillside at full market value Info supplied by Here for Hereford with thanks!
  7. The Winter 2017/18 edition of HCS's magazine is now available on line https://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/f03364_e7e7e37bea1a47db946a47e1fa26d9e6.pdf
  8. Turfing tenant farmers off the farm they’ve spent their life building is just wrong. Utterly bereft of love and sense. #AVicarsLife Excellent series and well worth watching
  9. I have been asked for a list of reasons why Hillside should stay open. If anybody would like to offer up suggestions I will gladly include them in my list. Thank you in advance
  10. Developers do drag their feet on resurfacing the roads - it is as if once the houses are built the builders think they have done their work. We are having the same problem in Kingstone with the builders making all kinds of excuses. Nothing like HC putting all our eggs in one basket hope Keepmoat can come up with the goods!
  11. You mean the tax payer will bail them out!
  12. According to the FT Carillion could well go into Administration as early as tomorrow which could well mean the loss of thousands of jobs not just direct employees but also the thousands of sub contracted employees. Should this be allowed to happen? Should the Government bail them? There are so many unanswered questions not least of all why have the Government continued to give them contracts when they should have known about the Company's financial state - due dilligence? The Banks have continued to prop them up why? Whichever way this goes it will affect the whole country Government holds crunch meeting with Carillion - Financial Times https://www.ft.com/content/944f4f46-f8b3-11e7-9b32-d7d59aace167 11 hours ago - The fate of Carillion, one of Britain's largest construction companies, looks set to be decided at a crunch meeting with government figures at 10am on Sunday. The meeting was brought forward as Downing Street grappled with the implications of the potential collapse of the group, which has numerous
  13. I looked her up after my ? she lives in Cardiff and is a buddy of Lucy Hurds A full transcript of her presentation to Lords https://t.co/7zYCb7DcGi
  14. Baroness Randerson†@jennyranderson FollowFollow @jennyranderson More I raised need for a Hereford bypass in Lords today. A good plan exists and it just needs Government support to bring relief for motorists and big improvement in air quality for local residents. 1:30 pm - 10 Jan 2018 Who is Baroness Randerson?
  15. Ah Douglas Barrat was he not something to do with Hereford Futures working alongside Roger Phillips. Hope he has more success with the bypass than he has selling his house which I understand has been on the market for getting on 5 years
  16. The applicant is a company named DFKE(Hereford) Ltd https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiziemHidDYAhXhAMAKHTJJD_IQFggrMAA&url=https%3A%2F%2Fbeta.companieshouse.gov.uk%2Fcompany%2F04983904&usg=AOvVaw1wrgcRs7IPYhsvw1F_iNqJ
  17. Oh well Glenda I have asked that it be included in our next Parish Council meeting. Our Ward Councillor normally attends and whether it does any good or not at least we will be voicing an opinion about it. I encourage all other Parish Councils with meetings prior to 26 January to include it in their Agendas.
  18. Dilligaf I know I used to work in Care too. Glenda is there any point in lobbying the county's Ward Councillors prior the Council meeting on 26th Jan?
  19. This has been happening with some carers for years they just call in do the basics and go. It is not necessarily the carer's fault but because their rotas are so tight the carers have to keep moving. We have a frighteningly deplorable dangerous situation developing and yet nobody in authority seems to realise it is bomb waiting to be detonated! Sorry not a phrase I should use but can't think of an alternative one after having heard of so many desperate situations over the last few days The care industry has been in crisis for some time now and sadly it is peaking. I fear for the future of many needy people.
  20. But wealthy retirees still pay Council Tax up to a certain age
  21. The ageing population also do an awful of foc caring work - they ARE the unsung heroes. Why are young single Mums or out of work youngsters living in accommodation never highlighted? I know I know I will get shot down for that last sentence but everybody is entitled to their opinion. The Cabinet consists of one or two of the dreaded expensive ageing population
  22. More bad news for the county. Far too many vital decisions are being made by the Cabinet
