  5. Having pointed out the iniquity of the council tax system in Hereford Voice in 2014, The Guardian has done a piece on the latest situation comparing Westminster with other parts of the country. The top band H (properties over £320,00) will be paying £1,376 this coming year 2017 to 2018. Your Council Tax for 2017 to 2018*: Band Westminster City Council Greater London Authority Total A £272.08 £186.68 £458.76 B £317.43 £217.79 £535.22 C
  6. Went by this place today. New signage. Seems to have some new windows out the back. Same or similar staff working by the back door. Unlikely it is open currently but I don't know for sure. Previous establishment was closed down in July 2017. It was known then as Abbey Grange Care Home. Closed down over safety concerns. https://www.vennslanecarehome.co.uk/
  7. Please sign Our Petition to Cllr Barry Durkin in an attempt to persuade him to reconsider and increase the on street parking times. Some streets such as Castle Street are limited to just 30 mins! We need at least 2 hours and by signing this petition you agree and are offering your full support to our local independent traders here in Hereford.
  8. This is a letter that I have sent to to our councillor today in the hope that I receive a response. I am sure that is also an issue in other areas, but when you are not even trying to join the que and waiting excessively, something needs to be done. As for the road surface saga - well its just a joke considering it’s a “new†development! I’ve driven on smoother farm tracks. I am writing to you in the hope that you may be able to help resolve some issues we are having on Woodward Avenue (formally Broxash Drive) Every weekday morning we have problems with traffic using the street as a r

  11. How pathetic that you cannot buy hot food in Hereford after 1.30am! This stupid idea of Hereford Council I assume is designed to prevent a build up of people coming out of nightclubs...well guess what? It does not work! Because now people que at the sandwich bar in Commercial Road or in the 24 hour garage. So why can we not buy hot food? It's no wonder many people think the nightlife and everything else is so poor and choose to avoid Hereford altogether! This Council needs to have a rethink and get into the 21st Century! Hereford is becoming like a ghost town both during the day and night!
  12. The following could be a worry for the Council if it wasn't for the fact that the Council have appointed Geoff Hughes as project Director? Nothing to worry about he will gather up the usual suspects responsible for the **** up in the first place and they are sure to **** it up all over again! Why because they are ****ing up thinks on a day to day basis! What exactly does it take to trigger a public enquiry? I am confused as to why the auditors haven't been looking into this? http://www.herefordtimes.com/news/11823873.__40_million_legal_dispute_loss_could__finish__Herefordshire_Cou
  13. Paid my customary Bank Holiday Visit here today ... Very amusing as always! Quirky staff ... Busy! Loads of people getting rid of their 'green' debris! Love this place!
  14. Belmont Road works postponed until 3 August National Grid statement We would like to advise motorists that the planned gas mains replacement work on Belmont Road in Hereford has been postponed for two weeks. The work will now start on Monday, 3 August and is expected to take four weeks to complete. During that time, there will be two-way traffic lights to control the traffic on Belmont Road by the junction with Walnut Tree Avenue. Herefordshire Council
  15. Why is the bank balance of the BRPC showing over £100k? Why is OUR money Not being used within the Belmont Rural Parish? The concentration of effort appears to be limited on or around the Jubilee fields. I requested a Salt Bin back last November for Glastonbury Close and it was refused/deferred now this is something that would cost less than £100 to buy and very little to maintain. I also highlighted the lack of gritting in Belmont way back in 2010 in this topic about No Gritting. We have overgrown tree's and bushes which the council do not have the money to ma

  22. Please do take the time to fill this in. I was unaware of this until today, whereas only 0.02% of the 56000 people in Hereford have filled it in. It's our county and what needs to be done. Don't complain if you don't fill it in. It even mentions a bypass!! https://www.snapsurveys.com/wh/s.asp?k=144620162827 Please tell everyone you know to complete it.

  24. Monday 12 January 2015 in Hereford Times News by Bill Tanner Are the lifts operating yet on the station. I was last told they would be working by the end of June 2014, but the scaffold bridge is still in place.
  25. Their application for a 2 AM Licence was kicked into the 'long grass' on 02 December 2015 by The Council ... It had already been adjourned once .... The application is now going to be heard on 22 January .... Which, by my maths, means they miss the extra Christmas/New Year trade ... Link
