  1. It will reopen but not as a walk-in centre. The Ross Road surgery will be in there also Taurus but you will have to register with them to see a doctor, you will also have to make an appointment as you do with any doctor surgery now, with the possibility of having to wait up to 2-5 weeks for an appointment.
  2. I received a phone call this morning from the HT asking me for my comments about losing the walk-in centre. A photo shoot and interviews with disabled residents and their carers, walk -n centre staff and myself outside the centre tomorrow. I also receive a 30 minute call from the House of Commons from Jesse Norman and he has sent me a statement to go with the story in the HT.
  3. They should, but they are in favour of 7-day surgery opening, when I said I and the other people who sign the petition are disappointed, stating again that you cannot get an appointment at most surgeries for 3-5 weeks with the doctors working 5 day week what makes them think it will be better over 7 days, they claim that there will be other services and people working together over 7 days including a pharmacy in the Belmont Medical Centre, and if a doctor is not available people can see the nurse practioner .or ring 111 service. I told them the people will just go back to A&E. The Ross road surgery will go into the Asda site after it is refurbished between 8am-6pm and Taurus between 6pm-8pm. The local councillor was there and agreed with what they are doing! which says a lot for the people he supposed to be representing in his ward. I have asked Jessie Norman to step in, he worked with me before in 2008 when we took a 10,000 signature petition to Downing Street to stop the post offices from closing, and we were successful.
  4. Son of Gridknocker - another excellent piece of work, I look forward to reading your next instalment.!
  5. I attended the meeting of the CCG this afternoon, and although they said they had not made a decision at the meeting afterwards they told me the GP walk-in centre will close at end of June
  6. Today is the day the CCG makes its decision on the walk-in centre. I have been invited to attend the meeting this afternoon by CCG, will report back their decision. I and all the people who signed both petitions will not be pleased if they ignore us and close it anyway.
  7. Son of Gridknocker, excellent!!! I did not vote or would ever vote for her, she was not elected to be Prime Minister by the people, therefore should not be PM in my opinion, but let's see how long she lasts with a minority Government, not long I hope!. She never voted to Leave the EU, she was a remainer, therefore she should not be leading the Brexit talks and negotiations.
  8. I'm watching it on TV, it has been announced that 7 people have lost their lives, waiting for Theresa May to make a statement shortly.
  9. H Wilson. I am NOT a Corbyn supporter!!!
  10. No candidates other than Jesse Norman has knocked my door. I had the Lib Dems leaflet last week and Labour and Independent leaflet just pushed through my door this morning. I am waiting to see the Question Time program tonight 8.30pm BBC 1. with Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn, I think and hope the audience will take the PM apart !.
  11. It is thanks to Ukip that we are coming out of the EU, I voted to leave in the referendum, and Ukip will get my vote on 8th June. This country did OK before we entered the EU, and we will again. It is time we took back control of OUR borders and OUR country again.
  12. Rented units are solely to rent, affordable shared units is you put down a deposit, you then rent the property for a set time and then you take a mortgage out for the remainder of the cost. I would not recommend this people have been caught out simply because if you fail to make a payment of rent you lose your home, and your deposit it is written in the initial contract you sign which is reviewed every 6 months. There were a lot of problems with Persimmon in Belmont when they built houses under this scheme.
  13. Ragwert, my information came from the horses mouth so it is true. Non of the services have been cut off gas, water, electricity as yet. and Dilligaf is also correct in what he has said. The regeneration of the Oval has been a shambles right from the start 6 years ago, nothing but problems in every house, flat and bungalows. From the roof costing £26,000 to repair on the one block of flat not a year old at the time when the repair had to be done. I am still being contacted by residents almost on a daily basis, although I am nolonger the councillor for the area.
  14. I was told by Richard site manager last Friday that the demolition team are back on site this week, again the rumour going round is the reason for the delay is that they have not been paid, either by Keepmoat or HHL. in the last 3 months.
  15. Denise, according to Herefordshire Council news desk, Cllr Johnson as Leader of the council gets £29,692 plus travelling expenses. which would be a vast sum as he doesn't live in Herefordshire.
  16. I see the ward councillor for Newton Farm has been promoted to deputy chairman of the council. But I have been told tonight the position had been offered to 7 people in front of him and they declined the position.
  17. 10.04 Sunday 14.May, HT is back on line.
  18. I have been told that the men had not been paid so they walked off site, that was 6 weeks ago. I was also told by workmen that it has something to do with the gas supply, I had a letter telling me my gas would be turned off a couple of months ago, it didn't happen. I reported 6 men in their 20s entering the flats in Jubilee Court over the recent holidays I see the builders have now fenced the area off with high boards. The demolition men are coming back either end of this month or early June, the gas / electric supplies will be turned off to stop any danger from explosion when the flats are pull down the site manager told me this information last week.
  19. Cambo, I must agree with you he doesn't seem to have thought this through, he said he is well known and has met a lot of people in his Mayoral role this year. In regard to why he is not standing under the IOC banner is they are not known in Westminster where there is already Independents in Parliament. Having held a position representing Herefordshire Independents in the LGA in London also taking me to Westminster for meetings in the last two years of being a councillor he is going to get a nasty surprise if he is elected, London and Westminster is totally different to local politics, unless you have achieved something of significance as a local councillor and it has been recognised that you were responsible for achieving it, they won't acknowledge it in Parliament. His achievements as a local councillor and Mayor won't count for anything.
  20. I attended the Independent meeting tonight to hear what JK had to say, He said he was standing as Independent but will remain an IOC councillor, he was told that would give him a conflict of interest, he voted for Brexit but he supports EU people migration to Britain. He also said that if he doesn't like what ministers say in Westminster he would go and bang on their door. He couldn't tell us his policies because he hasn't thought of them at this time. He did say NHS is important( but we know all that already) he wants devolution of powers from Westminster to Hereford and he wants something done about local infrastructure. he finished by saying that if anyone can help him with campaign or has any suggestions tell him. Personally I was disappointed by what he said!!!
  21. Denise, she knows who I am, when I was a Cllr 3 years ago there was a meeting at the Kindle centre, and I was asked to step in for another Cllr on the panel, she had a very bad reception from members of the public and she was very rude to anyone that didn't see things from her point of view, that also included me on the night, she talked a lot of rubbish then and have learnt since.
  22. Going slightly off subject The Labour party was in High Town today, Anna Coda stopped me and started running down the Independents, which made me verbally attack her, I had the greatest of pleasure telling her I will not be voting Labour or Conservative!
  23. I don't think so, he wants to go to the meeting because he is standing for parliament as an Independent. We will soon know at the meeting. Maybe he thinking of following Charles Nicholls because he left IOC and is now an Independent councillor.
  24. Jim Kenyon is going to speak at the next Independent group meeting next week, so we should find out what his policies are and what's in his manifesto. I am hoping to attend if I do will report what he said here!.
  25. I have been advised that Jim Kenyon can stay as a district and city councillor through the election process, if he is successful he would then have to resign from both councils as a councillor. I have been told he has had a few meetings with the Independents in Hereford, and will attend their next meeting.
