We are not sure is this is connection but the Police are appealing for help to find missing man.

Have you seen missing Leominster man Craig Simpson?

Officers from West Mercia Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 56-year-old missing man from Leominster.

Craig Simpson was last seen yesterday (Saturday, 17 March) leaving his home in Leominster at around 4.15pm and officers have today (Sunday, 18 March) located his car, a grey Peugeot 306 estate, by The Riverside Inn, Aymestrey.


Craig Simpson Craig is described as a white man, with short grey hair, he wears glasses and was last seen wearing dark grey trousers, a grey jacket and a blue fleece.

Detective Inspector Gerard Smith said: "We are doing everything we can to locate Craig and return him to his family. We are growing increasingly concerned about Craig's welfare and I would ask that anyone who may have seen him to contact police on 101 quoting reference 501s of 17 March.

West Mercia Police Statement

We’re sad to report that the body of man who went missing on 17 March has been found.

Craig Simpson disappeared after leaving his home in Leominster.

The body was found by search and rescue teams in a river near Leominster yesterday (Saturday 24 March) afternoon.

Craig’s family has been informed.

There are no suspicious circumstance surrounding his death.

Thanks to everyone who shared our appeal.
