silent bull
I'm not knocking it because Hereford city needs itBut "when does the development finish"??I'm sure somebody said just before the first brick was laid that it would be late March early April. The reason I'm asking is that I've drove past the site a number of times and it seems to me that it may take a lot longer,Or will 'only parts' of the site be open first?? twowheelsgood
If you mean the OLM, PR spin says Easter. Which is only 10.5 weeks away. Some or all of it may not be finished by then, we'll just to wait and see.
silent bull
Just what I thought Thanks 'twowheelsgood' Has anybody got any information on a 'fixed date'??
twowheelsgood
It's wait and see - this is a private development (albeit massively subsidised by public money) - they have no obligation to inform us of anything. Indeed, they are even giving Mr Bowley a hard time on his OLM site.
silent bull
Does that mean if it goes over the 'deadline' ( whenever that is) it will cost the taxpayers more??
twowheelsgood
Not directly - but the income stream from car parking, which we're told will go to the council, won't be there.
megilleland
Maybe there is a penalty clause in the contract if they overun, but I doubt it as the weather is very much against them. Considering what has been constructed to date it is a pretty well run operation. Imagine if the council were doing it!
Biomech
Maybe there is a penalty clause in the contract lololololololololololol, if the councils past is anything to go buy (Amey et al), the only penalty clause will involve the council handing over more money for work not done. I've said it before, the guys on the ground are doing a great job and making great progress - probably because 90% of them are Eastern European

Denise Lloyd
Now that it looks like it is finished when will they fill all the units. Doesn't look good that roadside units are still empty and advertising for possible internees. Are there other empty units within the centre as well? Like Bobby I have no inclination to go there and don't actually know many people who do actually frequent it.
dippyhippy
No, I don't wander through very often. I have been into Waitrose......and I did make a purchase. I also looked suitably shamed faced when I 'fessed up to Bobby, that I'd eaten an OLM rice salad with walnuts!

From what I know those units facing Newmarket Street are for business use and are classed as. They were both taken by one business and have been made into one unit so it is looking like whoever was taking it has pulled out. The big Restaurant unit next to Zizi also had a tenant but this also now has a sign offering its leasehold.
