Disability Discrimination on Wirral. Bill Norman's role...

This was just part of an elaborate cover up after £736,756.97 was stolen from learning disabled people's bank accounts over an 8 / 9 year period:
As far as disability discrimination goes, the only people to be stolen from were disabled people. If you were an able-bodied tenant, the searchlight moved on until it found a disabled one.
Temporary Closure Of Hereford Library & Museum

Closure Update:
Herefordshire Council would like to thank the public for their patience whilst it reviews the position relating to the unexpected discovery of asbestos at Hereford Library.
The safety of users and staff of the services is our most important consideration, and the implications of managing asbestos at the building needs to be carefully considered.
As traces of asbestos have been found at the venue, it is in the best safety interest to remove it completely, which will be started as soon as possible. As yet we have not been given a date as to when those works will be completed.
We have seen considerable increase in the use of Belmont Library to compensate for the closure of Hereford Library, and a drop-off point is available at the Shirehall. In addition we plan to open a temporary provision at Hereford Town Hall as soon as we can.
Options for temporary relocating the Museum and Arts Gallery are being explored.
In addition to the public use PCs at Belmont library there are also public access PCs available at the new HARC building at Rotherwas and at the Courtyard, which are free to use.
We will provide further updates on the library as soon as we have them.
Though the risk from asbestos is minimal, if you have health concerns please contact your GP in the first instance.
16 September 2015
We have received a number of queries relating to the closure of Hereford Library and Museum and have developed some frequently asked questions (FAQs) to help answer as many of these as possible.
14 September 2015
Please be advised that alternative library facilities, including computer access, are located at Belmont Library and during the temporary closure of Hereford Library will operate extended hours. Thank you to South Wye Community Association for its support. Belmont library has free parking for community centre visitors and is located on bus routes 39, 39A, 74, 74A, 75, 75A, 79A, 440, 447, 449 and X4.
You can also renew your library books online or call 01432 383295.
Alternative public computer access is available at The Courtyard in Hereford, please contact them directly for more information.
Green bags for garden waste can be purchased from The Hereford Centre at Franklin House in Hereford.
We will endeavour to find an alternative venue for the Spun Gold exhibition, but regret that the exhibition is currently closed. The Old House museum will extend its hours, as an alternative attraction.
Herefordshire Council appreciate your patience during this time and will seek to provide other services as they become available.
11 September 2015
In the interest of public and staff safety, Herefordshire Council has made the decision to temporarily close Hereford Library and Museum with effect from today, due to the discovery of trace levels of asbestos found in the building as a result of planned building work due to take place at the site.
The building will be closed for an initial 12 week period, while the remedial works and improvements to the site are conducted. Air samples had showed there were no airborne particles of asbestos, however trace amounts were found on surfaces near the oldest parts of the building's structure.
Herefordshire Council would like to stress that the risk of contamination is minimal, however it is important we take risk seriously and take the appropriate action to safeguard our staff and customers.
The Health and Safety Executive has been informed and the library service is assessing the impact on the wider library service and what actions can be taken to address and mitigate the impact of the closure in the best interest of customers.
There is more information on asbestos on the Health and Safety Executive website.

Corruption At West Mercia Police & Shropshire Council
Dear Sir, Madam,
my name is Terry Dean Hampson, i was born on the 22nd of october 1980, i am currently 35 years old, and i am a male.
Its taken me 25 years to be able to do this and so i ask for your patience if i appear to be unclear in what i say, i will try my best.
I was born at wrexham hospital in north wales, i then lived an still live in the village of dudleston heath in shropshire, i have a older brother (Brett) and a half brother from my mothers first marriage (shane) who also lived with us in our family home, with mine and Bretts parents, ( Tony, Diann) i also have a half brother and 2 half sisters from my fathers first marriage, they also live in the same village.
my father was a builder, he was very well known in the locality renowned for his hard work and extensive knowledge of the construction industry.
British Food and Farming

Seeing Megielland's post on the HC Farms forum reminded me on something I meant to do earlier in the week.
I will respond to Greenknight's question about anybody connected with farming on this site well I strongly suspect I am the person most closely connected to the farming industry on here but I am unable to answer the questions about subsidies. However subsidies are not something that were introduced after joining the EU. Subsidies were introduced after WWII when food was in very short supply and a great many farming workers had been killed or maimed and I believe subsidies came into force to kick start food production in this country.
Prior to joining the EU there were the Milk Marketing Board Potato Marketing Board Egg Marketing Board Wool Marketing Board and there was one for cereals as well. These were set up by the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Food employing experts in their fields without the endless tiers of Management and one of their purposes was to set quotas so that there was not overproduction of any one thing in a year so preventing food mountains (remember the butter mountain). Now we have DEFRA which is sadly is not dedicated totally to farming.
As said on the other forum a tremendous amount of pre-prepared food is sourced from overseas. Pick up any premade chicken curry and see if you can see where the chicken is from in a lot of cases it doesn't say. When I asked a main supermarket many years ago I was told it came from Korea or Indonesia.
The EU has set up all these guidelines which creates a lot of waste food - straight cucumbers parsnips not up to the mark.
Cakes biscuits anything cooked and bought with egg in a lot of people would be very surprised to know that the majority of eggs used in the production are imported usually as dried egg. Ridiculous this country is perfectly capable of producing enough eggs for the need in this country.
I do not know what effect coming out of the EU will have on agriculture but I do know British food production meets the highest standards in the world.

Cardiff to Manchester Rail Line

7. Jesse Norman (Hereford and South Herefordshire) (Con): What recent discussions he has had with the Secretary of State for Transport about capital investment in the Cardiff to Manchester railway line. [900304]
The Secretary of State for Wales (Mr David Jones): I regularly meet my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Transport to discuss rail infrastructure priorities for Wales, and I am meeting him again soon. I will raise the important link that my hon. Friend mentions as part of that discussion.
Jesse Norman: The new enterprise zone at Rotherwas in Herefordshire offers a superb opportunity to reopen the rail link to Hereford and establish a parkway station, which would assist local people and the many Welsh people who work in my county. Will the Secretary of State support those plans?
Mr Jones: The Herefordshire enterprise zone is extremely important, and my hon. Friend will know that the important thing with rail infrastructure improvement is to build up a coherent business case. I will certainly raise this matter with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Transport when I meet him, and my hon. Friend’s question will form an important part of that business case.
Kevin Brennan (Cardiff West) (Lab): May I take this opportunity to support the suggestion from the hon. Member for Hereford and South Herefordshire (Jesse Norman) and to ask the Secretary of State to ensure that he reiterates the importance of the electrification of
9 Oct 2013 : Column 149
the railway line to south Wales from London and of the valley lines? Will he take the opportunity to do that now?
Mr Jones: Yes, indeed. The announcement that we made last year is still very much on track, and we are hoping that the link to Swansea will be completed by 2018.

Work Begins On New Skate Park

The work on the new skate park in the fields at the top of Newton Farm has begun. Contractors had already fenced off the old park and have starting dismantling it today. This skate park was built in the 90's and is well used and in much need of replacing.
The project is being funded by Hereford Housing as it is their land.
Happy New Year.
A very happy New Year to you all. Clearly, if you are a realist and have a grasp of what's about to befall our once great Country it's not going to be a very happy New Year for many who are dispossessed, bewildered, possessed and bereft of hope of ever climbing out of this man made dug fiscal hole that's sees everything we once held dear collapsing around us.
That said, if it's at all possible, I wish you well and hope that 2016 brings you and your loved ones happiness, prosperity and good measure of luck and good fortune.
We're all, every single one of us, in need of all the bloody luck and good fortune that can be harvested up to withstand the destruction of our society by this rotten Council Cabinet who are intent on buggering everything up.
Happy New Year!
THE BEEFY BOYS OPEN RESTAURANT IN HEREFORD

THE BEEFY BOYS OPEN RESTAURANT IN HEREFORD
Following a second consecutive Top 10 finish at The World Food Championships in America, The Beefy Boys will soon open their long awaited restaurant in Herefords Old Market Development.
On Monday 28th December, the restaurant specialising in Burgers, Street Food and Cocktails will start its soft launch - with priority seating and booking going to those lucky enough to have purchased a Beefy Boy Golden ticket. Those that didn't manage to pick up one of the sold out tickets will be seated on a first come first served basis.
The Beefy Boys - Murf (Anthony Murphy), Christian Williams, Daniel Mayo-Evans and Lee Symonds - have achieved legendary status for their grilling skills; their huge jump in the rankings at the 2015 World Food Championships was the biggest in the Competition's history and they have finished in the Top 10 for two years in a row. They also recently won The UK Burger Battle in Birmingham, and boast an international fanbase.
As proud Herefordians, they are keen to support local - sourcing their ingredients, branding and designs locally, from fantastic producers such as Neil Powell Butchers, Peter Cooks Bread and Wye Valley Brewery. They've even become the official roller derby helmet sponsors to Hereford Roller Girls.
Its great to be the first independent restaurant on the old market development, said Murf. We've sourced locally as much as possible from the food down to the restaurant itself; all of the design and artwork comes from Hereford College of Arts graduates, and the metal work, tables, chairs, bar and seats have come from local companies too. We've got a connection to the city that you just don't get with a chain. Theres a real food revolution that is happening in Herefordshire right now, its awesome to be part of it and we can't wait for people to see the new restaurant.
For more information about The Beefy Boys, visit thebeefyboys.com, or follow them on Facebook and Twitter for regular updates.
