  1. A brilliant idea. Very well done. If I can I'll pop in.
  2. I'd like to know! I'd like somebody to explain to me why I'm fat and they ain't. It seems to me that it's entirely unfair. It's high times for them ain't it. Tall, slim, muscular, chiselled features, ready and available to run a mile if required to do so and able to wear a garment picked off the peg that fits. I mean, my wife's a nurse. During the course of a working week she treats probably a hundred migrant people and none of them ever come in needing their cholesterol checking or begging, 'give me a gastric band'. It simply doesn't happen because they ain't fat. God knows why. They've escaped the grinding fist of communism and poverty decades ago and they should be getting fatter. But they ain't! If anything, they're getting slimmer and fitter. And don't tell me they don't drink ale or eat huge meals. They do! I've seen them. None of it makes sense to me. They should be getting fatter but they ain't! I've never met Colin's girl who I know is Polish. I bet she ain't fat. I'll bet my right testical that she's a slim lady who can eat and drink and never put on any weight and so I'd like to know why I'm clinically obese and she ain't. If you ask me it's unfair and my conclusion is that the migrants are getting or not getting something which I'm getting a lot of or none at all of. I mean, are the mandarins of Brussels secretly feeding our indigenous population something that's making us fat? I've seen them through the window down at the Commercial and I'm seeing no obvious signs that they are putting on weight. I'll tell the lads, 'lads, why ain't they as fat as us' and not one of my brethren can come up with an answer that explains why we are fat bastards and they ain't. If the East European migrants really want to integrate into the British way of life I say lets see a few of them making an effort and pile on a few more pounds and begin to have concerns about their cholesterol levels instead of staying slim and fit. Thinking about it some more, this is yet another reason why I want to get out of this unholy European Union. In fact, until such times as a migrant can come up to me in the Commercial moaning that their cholesterol levels have become sky high and they can easily be medically diagnosed as more swine than human, I'm for getting out of the EU.
  3. I'm actually pleased! Given that the market forces enabled Cargill Meats to saturate their workforce with over seventy percent of EU migrant workers and turn their backs on British Herefordians, it's happily ironic for me that the same global market forces are now kicking their European Bread Basket Of Cheap Labour, the EU migrants in much the same way as the indigenous people have been kicked and discarded. The sooner our migrant friends wake up and realise that they are being used as subservient cheap slave labour the better for all those who still have the ability to think for themselves and rationally consider the consequences of the Free Movement Of People. Mind, the knock on effect will be two hundred and thirty migrants will be either unemployed either here or back home. Either way we pay for it all or some other employer will orchestrate them into their workforce and remove the British from yet another area of work because they ain't prepared to work harder, faster and cheaper than the migrants. I find it all happily amusing and I look forward to seeing and witnessing a time when the 'penny drops' and our Slovakian cousins realise that the view of the Mandarins of Europe and Hitler are much the same. That maniac Hitler viewed the Slovaks in much the same way. Through his mad distorted ideology he saw the Slovaks as nothing more than a source of cheap slave labour and nothing I've seen or witnessed convinces me that the EU hierarchy see these people any differently. Yes! I'm glad that the job losses at Cargill Meats will affect those EU migrants who willingly prostitute themselves and their potential to catch our chickens, slaughter the poor creatures, pluck the beasts, gut them, process them and package their meat for our consumption. It's about time the boot was on the other foot!
  4. Please Vote Out! Consider the strain and the impact this mass migration is having upon our NHS, our Housing and all our other much cherished public services. Whichever way it's dressed up, no matter how many times they tell you how wonderful it all is, our nation cannot sustain the expenditure upon all these migrants. We will inevitably lose these services if we don't take care of them. They tell you that there are three million EU economically active migrants and near on two million economically inactive migrants here in the United Kingdom now, yet, when evidence emerges that the issue of National Insurance is far greater than the aforementioned figures, they expect you to cover your eyes to the obvious, which is the whole thing is beyond any control and they are leading you toward oblivion. Think about the vast registrations of National Insurance numbers just a little. For every registration that's been logged within the United Kingdom, there is a person who will be entitled to a UK State Pension. Think for a moment how many EU migrants are contributing now or have gone elsewhere within the EU who will be entitled to a scaled down State Pension because they've worked and contributed to the National Insurance scheme. Given that our Country has been the host to millions and millions of people since 2004, the cost to us in decades to come will be enormous. The consequences of this exploding time bomb are going to be hugely damaging to everyone who is young and British. They are going to have to work long and hard to meet the responsibility that we've bequeathed them. Forget the fifty five million pounds we pay every day to be a Member of the EU. Ignore the billions of pounds that our public services spend each year upon the EU migrants. These sums of money are small change when compared to the price our Country will be required to pay when we have to pay the Pension contributions to all those who've worked here in Britain. Quite simply, together with the NHS which will inevitably collapse and become a Private Healthcare Provider, the State Pension will not be there in its present state for our youngsters who'll be the ones required to pick up the pieces if we don't leave the EU now. Like all things, if you cannot afford to sustain it, it will go and be replaced by an economic model that many European nations now follow. If we stay within the EU, like most of East and Central European countries, we will become a fully paid up member of the 'Have Not' group and it'll be our descendants who'll be the ones leaving Britain to pluck chickens, wash cars and pick fruit in some far away place that demands we work harder, faster and cheaper than the last lot they hosted who were no longer prepared to be treated as Slave Labour. This is our fate if we remain inside the European Union. Please Vote to Leave.
  5. Goodness Dippy, my dear and old good friend, you certainly don't know when you're beaten. It's quite simple. Many of the commentators upon these pages hate all things Islamic and no amount of compassion, rational thinking or plain good old common sense is going to change a view that's honestly held that the Muslims are out to kill us all. Just like the Germans circa 1930's who wanted to hate the Jews and gobbled up all news that confirmed that their hatred was good, well founded and entirely reasonable and human, the commentators here have been indoctrinated by the media and the State to hate and mistrust all things Islamic. Give them a tale of some miserable ungrateful migrant who's travelled West and abused our hospitality and they'll shout, 'we told you so'. The worse the story the better. Throw in a Rape, a refusal to eat Pork and the odd drowning that could have been avoided if Mom and Dad had kept their little child sheltering in their safe bomb crater back home and before to long the hatred, the mistrust and the stupidity of their inability to think for themselves can easily be justified to each and every one another. It's not difficult to get people to hate. You simply feed them a sustained drip of bad news, tell the people to be scared and then ridicule anyone who has the ability to think rationally and refuse to be a part of the swarm. Then, once the people have been whipped up into a frenzy the next trick is to keep them angry and compliant with any extreme and radical suggestions designed to marginalise a group of people who've been targeted for special attention by the media and by the State who orchestrate the mass and fast growing movement that says, 'the Muslims are out to get you'. Yep! History repeats itself over and over again and despite the lessons of the past you Dippy will be and forever will be a Looney Left Tree Hugger who doesn't quite understand why you need to hate the migrants. My warmest regards Pal. Give it up kiddo!
  6. For those that can be persuaded to Vote Out, consider this. At this time we are hosting nearly three million economically active EU migrants who are accompanied by over a million non economically active family members. Many say, it could be as high as two million. Whatever the true figure is, there is now a political acknowledgement that our much cherished and hard won public services are being squeezed and placed under considerable and unsustainable strain. How many more million will it take for you to change your minds and Vote Out? Be under no misguided illusions, the EU have Serbia, Albania and Macedonia in their sights but the one that will be next to join will be Turkey. The admission of Turkey is inevitable. It's unavoidable if the EU wants to stop the exodus of people from the Middle East. Turkey with its seventy five million people will join the EU. Now, bearing in mind that Turkey and its people are much poorer than the migrants that we've received thus far, it's fair to say its inevitable that Britain will be a choice destination for the millions of Turks who'll leave their homeland for money and expect to be given all the great things that Britain has to offer. How many millions will we be required to host in the future and at what cost to our way of life, our freedoms and our public services. It's simply no good saying, we fought on your side during World War Two just as it's pointless saying that without EU citizens the work won't get done. Voting to Leave is a simply and straightforward act of selfishness. Do we in Britain want to hang onto what we have and maintain some semblance of order or do we throw it all away to people who are here for the money. And this future I speak of isn't far away. Before the end of the next decade Turkey will be in the EU. Events will see to that. It's all about seismic political events and the Meditteranean migrants are one such event that'll change our lives forever. Turkey and its seventy five million people will at some stage in the near future be given what they want, a chance to join the Have group and get a better life. You ain't going to get another chance to leave and extricate yourselves from the EU. Truthfully, it might already be to late. If we Vote Out, and I believe we will, they will cling onto us, they will try to make us vote again until they get the answer that they want and just like Southern Ireland we may find ourselves fighting for a simple democratic right of having a voice at the electoral box. Please consider Voting Out and have a little faith in your unique heritage that makes us the most creative and influential nation on Earth.
  7. Hello Mick, I'm so sorry, I've only just read your question. Yes I have. I've travelled all over that region and I know that your Mother Country is a very beautiful place. You've got mountains that Scotland would be proud of and more land locked fresh water lakes than most of Europe combined. Mind, you've got few fish in them because they've been eaten. You've every reason to be proud of your heritage Mick. Despite its tragic modern history, the Polish are a remarkable people and their fighting qualities place Poland alongside Great Britain in being prepared to fight for what's right. That said Mick, I've no idea why the Polish people are so content to be ruled by the will of the mighty German economy. Our German European cousins are great people. I like the Germans. The problem is, somewhere within their national psyche they have to organise. They simply cannot stop themselves. No matter the social or economic situations that all nations face, the Germans slide toward organising, controlling and orchestrating. They do it every single time. They can't help themselves and they continue to do it today. Worse, they won't stop. They can't. They must have order and they've no understanding of good healthy disorder that is at the core of being British who do not want to be ruled. They've single handedly destroyed the cradle of democracy Greece, they've appointed themselves as the leaders of Europe and they've imposed themselves and their vision of closer economic and social Union upon every single nation upon mainland Europe to the point where the weak economies are dancing to the tune of the German dream. One single currency, one foreign policy, one ruling legislative and no national pride other than 'we are all Europeans'. The EU is an expansionistic Empire that's morphed somewhere between Communism and Global Capitalism and it'll bring every single one of us national misery. I repeat again, any economic model that encourages millions upon millions of people to abandon their homeland for money is unhealthy and deeply flawed and it's very being should be avoided at all costs. My warmest regards Mick.
  8. And it's all so typical of public service nowadays. Bored and disinterested with the stuff that we pay for, want and expect, namely the sight of a uniformed Police Officer patrolling our streets on foot, they've now decided to stray, yet again, this time up into the skies to involve themselves in the very interesting areas of business that excite them, require a training programme and a huge number of people tied up and bound to a bucket of boll.ocks that'll be of little use to any of us who fuel and feed this bureaucratic beast of burden. As we speak, they'll be inviting people to attend their flight training course where these silk scarfed, wind in the hair, chocks away and flaps down pioneers of the Hereford skyline will be trained to fly amongst us watching our every move desperately looking for some sinner who'll commit some minor misdemeanour that'll justify the spending of near on a few hundred thousand pounds. Don't think for a single moment that you'll be gifted some dexterous eagle eyed wizard of flight sat there perched on the roof of the Nick. No! Behind this pilot there'll be a legion of staff ready to catalogue the footage of each and every glorious flight, they'll need a huge chain if command, a risk assessor, and God knows how many that'll involve themselves in this jolly flight experience where they watch us doing the most boring things imaginable. It's not as if I can manage with what's going on upon the ground. What with the intolerable noise of sirens, the flashing blue lights and the incessant worry that I'm about to be Tasered, now I have to start looking upwards to see what they're planning to do next. Well, I can tell you now, I ain't putting up with these flights. I'll be damned if I do. If they incorporate the Commercial Pub into their pre planned flight plan I'll have no problem whatsoever in deploying my catapult to end my misery. In fact, thinking about it, from hereon I've decided that there will be a no flight exclusion zone above my property and if their wizard of a pilot decides to deploy his bloody drone above my rooftop he'll be picking its bits and bobs off the road and gluing it back together following its encounter with me. We don't need another pointless gimmick. It won't save lives, it won't stop crime and all it will achieve is to put further distance between ourselves and our Coppers.
  9. Dear Mick, I am aware of your Polish ancestry and Colin's partner being Polish and I would never do or say anything deliberately to hurt your feelings. That said Mick, this is not an apology because nothing I've said warrants any offence to be taken and if you read my piece again carefully you'll hopefully discover that the 'Poor Poland' remark was based on the EU policy of asset stripping a nations greatest wealth. Their young people. I don't want you to be hurt Mick. Any argument I have is with the economic structure of the EU and not its component parts 'the people' who are required to move around, abandon their homeland and provide labour to the ever expanding policies of the EU. I've said many times, if I were born within the Have Not group of the EU I'd be here with my loved ones making the best of what life dished me out. As for the growth in the Polish economy, it's not the result of an expanding manufacturing base or a rise in productivity. It's entirely down to a huge drop in resident population and EU investment in the Polish infrastructure and to argue that Poland is on 'the up' without understanding the economics that drive an economy is foolhardy and blinkered. Poor Poland has, since 2004 seen millions upon millions of people leave their Country for a better life and money. I say that this is very wrong, it's a recipe for disaster and in the fullness of time there'll be an historical acknowledgement that 'the free movement of people' and an acceptance of rule dished out by an unelected elite from Brussels, will be seen as the greatest man made mistake since Germany and the Nazis decided that their peoples required more living space. I do hope Mick that you are not hurt by my views and I offer up my very warmest regards to you and yours.
  10. Sadly GK, economically speaking, it's not working both ways. I've said before, essentially the EU is made up of two troops. The Haves and the Have Nots and its this imbalance in the whole structure of the EU economic model that makes the whole thing dysfunctional We in the West are the Haves. They, to the East and beyond the old Iron Curtain are the Have Nots. Now, the problem with the Haves is they don't want to be a part of the Have Not group, therefore, it's rare that a family wake up, howl hoorah and proclaim, 'let's move and live in Lavia and experience the joys of having no flushing toilet and embracing the leisure of having beggar all'. The Haves simply will not journey to the land of the Have Nots. On the other hand, being a Have Not is an entirely different proposition. In the main, having beggar all isn't something you want or need to share and so, the notion of leaving the land of Have Not isn't unattractive. Indeed, with the chance of journeying to the West and immediately becoming a component part of the Haves is worth trading n the horse and cart, slaughtering the family goat and making your way to the promised land. And so, given that we have the Have and Have Not groups within the EU it's not difficult to grasp in simple and straightforward economic terms that the Giving and the Taking from the two groups are heavily imbalanced. The Have Nots have to give and the Have Nots must do the taking. It's all very simple and straightforward. It's not a knotty economic conundrum that requires one to have a Degree in Economics. The whole thing is a disaster and we must get out of this unholy social and political alliance that now sees the EU expanding and needing to hoover up Turkey, a land mass that's ninety seven percent Asia and three percent Europe. It's a bloody basket case!
  11. Osmosis, please don't think for a single moment that I have a poor opinion of the Polish migrants. I simply used them as an example. That said, if it helps you trying to figure out me, let me say this, I have an equally unwelcoming attitude to every single citizen of the EU that abandons their homeland for Western money. My view is its a betrayal of their nation and I know that I would never leave England for money. In short, this is my Country and I now no longer wish to share it with others who take and take and pretend to me and themselves that they're entitled to it all because they've slipped the exchequer a few quid in tax and national insurance payments. As for the economic argument, and my proposition that the entire model the EU is following is a bag of rats, they are the thoughts and teachings of John Maynard Keynes and not something I've pulled out of the air. In short, he says, and I bloody believe him even though he's dead, if you become dependant upon a vast cheap labour force that'll work faster, harder and cheaper than anyone else they will make a wealthy few richer and the vast majority poorer because of the high subsidy levels required to fund the fun. But worse, he says, and I believe him, when a disproportionate sum of money earned in one economy and recycled elsewhere, namely not earned and spent here, it's an economic recipe for disaster. I repeat, all these impoverished Countries, particularly those from Central and East Asia are tied and bound to an economic model that halts their home country development because their kids chose to leave and seek a better life in the West. Whichever way you dress this, the EU is the biggest man made mistake since Germany decided they needed more living space.
  12. Well I don't bloody care about the economics of it all. I simply don't want to host millions of people who are here for the money and the free public services and don't care or love my Country. But, if it is simple and straightforward economics that'll make you place your cross in the box that says, 'Out', then consider this and particularly the Nations of the former Soviet Bloc and the impact the EU economics have upon them. Take poor Poland for example. Stripped of millions of their young people who've abandoned their homeland and invested themselves and their talents in the economy of our Country, they've got the huge advantage of not having to pay and care for their former citizens but their society, both socially and economically have become stagnant. Indeed, so heavily dependant upon pound sterling sent home to be recycled in their economy to prop up their fragile and ailing progress to attain some sort of near parity with the West, they've become hostages to the fortunes of the EU. They are no longer able to develop themselves and modernise because their future, their bloody youngsters, have tipped up here to aid our economic aspirations. How can Poland possibly extricate themselves from this madness, create a better Poland when they've no manufacturing output or economic activity that doesn't involve Britsh Pound Sterlng or Euros earned and generated beyond their borders. Since 2004 near on twenty one million have left the East region of Central and East Europe, flown the nest, abandoned their nations to work faster, cheaper and harder than everyone else. You tell me. Where's the economic sense inlosing their best and brightest to the West? How on earth does it benefit these Nations if all their youngsters leave and invest themselves in a foreign Country?
  13. Hello Dave. I'm happily surprised. Let me tell you all this and I've no idea whether or not it's true of all GP Surgeries. One Surgery that I'm familiar with, all the Partner Doctors work a four day week and around five hours a day. No more! Now, if this figure is typical of many other Surgeries within the County, and I've no idea whether it is, then the time has come to burst their bubble and force them to rejoin the real world and expect them to do more. So preoccupied with areas of business that create a tick the box culture that generates Governmental payments, they've become lazy and only interested in taking your blood pressure, treating Diabetes and other in vogue money making excercises such as Dementia. This is the way the NHS now works. Extra payments for the narrow areas of illness that earn them a payment every single time they tick a box and say, 'pay me'. The Greenknight will I'm sure be able to add to this.
  14. Folks, The ASDA Surgery was originally introduced to alleviate visits to our Hospital. Back then the Hospital had a walk in out of hours Surgery that was simply placed there to stop patients bothering the Admissions staff with minor ailments. Then, because the whole place was getting cluttered and it was having an impact upon the smooth running of the Hospital, the idea of the ASDA Surgery was introduced. The positive impact of ASDA is that City and County surgeries are less strained because people, particularly those South of the Wye and those who's jobs don't allow for a rigid appointment time choose ASDA rather than their own Surgery. Course, because something works and benefits everyone is no good reason for the suits to tinker and tinker they have and will continue to do. They can't help themselves. As for Taurus, generally speaking, it simply doesn't work and once the ASDA Surgery has closed, in about five years time, these very same suits will think, 'let's get ourselves back into ASDA because the local Surgeries cannot cope.' It's all about going round and round in circles, it's all boll.ocks and they're doomed to repeat past mistakes and waste your time and your money on breaking things up that once worked.
  15. Frank has mentioned Taurus Healthcare. This Arms Length Private Company was originally introduced into our community to replace the ASDA Surgery. That intention still stands and, one way or the other, one day soon, the ASDA Surgery will close. The only reason the ASDA Surgery still remains in place is because of its huge use by the people and the complete disorganisation and chaos that is Taurus Healthcare. Tens of thousands of pounds have been thrown at Taurus and like most things that public services get involved in, 'it has to work now' because reputations must be protected. No matter the huge waste in public money together with every Surgery in the City having to invest thousands in it, and no matter that nobody knows about Taurus, they will plough on and the ASDA Surgery will close. I'm afraid that petitions, public support and an argument based upon common sense will not save the ASDA Surgery. It's going to go. When does it go is the question.
  16. Steve, I've just spotted your post directed toward me. It's very kind and gracious of you. Yes, I am very clever as you've kindly pointed out. I can genuinely complete the Rubik Cube in under thirty seconds and my Intelligence Quotient, which I had measured in the Eighties, is extremely high and places me amongst the top five thousand in our Country. You've asked me to shower you with some pear shaped droplets of wisdom! I can't Steve. I've no idea what the World leaders should do to solve this migratory problem. If I knew Steve I'd be the first to report my findings, conclusions and answers to everyone but sadly, it's all beyond me. As for you, being not as bright as me. Don't put yourself down. Sooner or later you'll find something that you'll be good at. Keep looking. Blogging isn't your strong point. Try to read a little more, and more than anything, stop hating. Hating people you don't know, you've never met and it's highly unlikely you'll ever meet serves you badly. No good comes of hating Muslims and no good will come of you hating me and attempting to match me on this forum. Now, do as Dippy suggests, go see the Trick Cyclist. Be open, honest and frank and disclose that you've become unnaturally fixated with migratory Muslims who you think are on their way across the Meditteranean with the single intention of blowing you up, stealing your property and fiddling with your private parts.
  17. And so that my position is completely clear, I despise the barbarity that's being employed by the fascist, extremist headbangers who are Islamic. The tragedy for Islam is its a relatively young religion when compared to Judaism and Christianity and they are having their Reformation now In the full glare of the Internet, whereas Christianity had theirs many centuries ago. Today, for Islam it's Sunni versus Shia and their barbarity is slicing off heads. Ours was Catholic versus Protestant and we burnt people at the stake. It's all madness. Always was and always will be and until Islam solves its problems it'll continue to be tortured by a very small number of headbangers who argue over who should have inherited the word of their prophet Mohammed. Finally, the bloody War! World War Two. Study history and learn that tens of thousands of Muslim peoples fought with us to destroy the Nazis, liberate mainland Europe and make our World a safer place. Thousands of Muslims died fighting on our side and yet many of you don't see them in the same way as our European partners who had the same skin colour as us, shared the same religion and now belong to the European Union. Quite simply, because of the media, your own limited imaginations and a very natural human characteristic to dislike difference, many of you can only offer up hatred, suspicion and a belief that Muslims are the enemy, they ain't like us and there children are not as precious as our little ones.
  18. Bugger it! To those of you who simply hate all things you don't understand and allow your fears and prejudices to block out any reason and intelligent thinking, the recent reports of sexual assaults upon women in the West is simply 'manna from heaven' to you. You are the very people that a fascist maniac can whip up into a frenzy, get you to burn books and build fences to keep out or keep in all those you've been programmed to believe are out to kill you, take over your Country or abuse you and your children. You simply hate! And, getting you to hate and despise all things Islamic is all so very easy for those that pray on your simple minded stupidity. You lick it up like hungry dogs because you want the migrants to fail. You yearn for them to fail. You desperately want these people to do anything that'll validate the hatred you feel for people and cultures you've become frightened of and don't want to welcome into our World of prosperity, aspiration and hope. And for those who have a heart and a glimmer of intelligence who choose not to join the howling mob and apply their rational thinking to a modern social problematic migrant phenomenon that has landed on our European doorstep, you mock, belittle and howl louder than Dippy and Osmosis so that the hate fuelled pack can win the day and label any 'thinkers' loony left tree hungers. The reason the Nazis flourished, prospered and successfully built many of their Death Camps and succeeded in demonising all things Jewish is, because like many of you, you did as you were supposed to do. Obey! Don't think! Hate and be ready to believe that 'they are out to kill and destroy you'. History is repeating itself and despite the lessons that we all could learn by glancing back at European twentieth century history, that alerts you all to the dangers of bigotry and hatred of a group of people still, even now, people of low intelligence are easily cajoled into hatred, discrimination and the demonising of others we know very little about.
  19. It seems as though there is now a political acknowledgement that this bludgeoning surge of EU migrants who've settled here have placed an intolerable strain upon our public services and it seems as though 'they' might give our Country an 'Emergency Brake' that'll enable us to say 'stop coming! We can't cope'! How times change. For years, despite the protests, the political elite, blind to the impact it has all had on tiny places like Hereford, they didn't listen, branded us bigots and told us how wonderful it all was for our economy and we were shortsighted to ever think that the free movement of people wasn't a lovely thing. An Emergency Brake! I'd have pulled that brake years ago before the damage had been done. It's nearly all to late and the only way we can extricate ourselves from this madness is to get out. Leave! If you are patriotic, proud to be born amongst our creative island race of people and you've no wish to watch the meat being picked away from our economic bones as we slide ever closer to the rule of Brussels, you pick up the courage, trust in your wonderful heritage and VOTE TO GET OUT of the EU.
  20. They tell you that they work harder than the indigenous people of Britain. That's what they say. I guess if they say it often enough it'll become an accepted fact that the people of our Country won't ever question. I don't accept this. It's a lie. They say they can work harder, faster, more efficiently and cheaper than us, but, if that is true, and they are remarkably gifted in an ability to work, ask yourselves this one single question. If it is the case that the peoples of the former Soviet Bloc are so gifted in the grafting department, why is it their nations are dreadful places to live, their economies are extremely weak and many of these states are developmentally only a little ahead of many third World countries. Why didn't this great work ethic help their home countries in developing both their economic and social development that may have helped them compete a little easier with the prosperous West. Ask why their own people don't want to live there. Why have they deserted their homelands. I know I'd never abandon my Country for money and yet they do. Near on three million. Two million are economically active. One million are not. Having three million people requires a huge strain upon our public services. There is a price to pay for this vast number of people who, for the most part are in low paid jobs. The state ratepayers are required through an endless list of benefits to subsidise their occupation of our Country making us economically and socially poorer and the rich extremely wealthy without having the bother of providing the housing, the education, the healthcare and a whole raft of services that have created a modern forward thinking society. Surely there's more to a British way of life than being able to work harder, faster and cheaper than everyone else. What of culture. Music. Theatre. Literature and Art. Our tiny nation has gifted the World with so many wonderful social and technological advances to mankind. No nation on the planet comes a close second to us. The Berlin Wall was dismantled over a quarter of a century ago and since then what, of any real significance has emerged from the old Soviet Union. I can think of very little. I've reached a point now where I'm completely at ease stating that I no longer want to share my Country with people who have very little cultural strengths, little creativity and an over reliance on becoming mobile and working faster, harder and cheaper than their competitors. My Country is being slowly asset stripped and I desperately want it to stop before there is little else left that's free of charge. After the two Great Wars, British and British Commonwealth citizens went about rebuilding our shattered nation that paid a heavy price to save Europe. Through their sweat and blood, they created the National Health Service, they built millions of Council Houses, they helped repay our War debt to the Americans, they helped rebuild broken mainland Europe which included Germany and they did it all fir us their descendants. They didn't do these things for the European Union and they certainly didn't build the houses and the NHS so that three million people could migrate to us and take it all fir nothing. And now, when we ask those who take so much from us to show us a little appreciation and understanding, they tease and taunt our Prime Minister suggesting 'we may shift our ground' but we may demand you to deploy your troops on our borders to defend us against Mother Russia. If you love your Country and you really do understand the EU nuts and bolts and you grasp that a radical and modernistic form of new Communism is being created( quote Michael Gorbachev )and expanded to swallow all nations up into a vast super state that places no value on the greatness of being British, you'll vote to leave the EU. If you want the NHS to survive and you fully grasp that spending four billion pounds each year treating EU migrants at Doctor Surgeries, our Hospitals and Dental Surgeries is a recipe for the collapse of the NHS, then please vote to leave mainland Europe to create their chaos alone without our involvement. Remember, all these public services were hard won by our ancestors and just because a citizen of Europe arrives in our Country, pays a few months tax and National Insurance contributions it doesn't make it right or gives them justification in taking straight away. It takes more than a few payments to win this entitlement. It's yours by birthright. Our ancestors bequeathed us this and it's not for us to simply hand it over to those that want to take and are legally able to take simply because an EU directive says 'hand it over. It's not yours anymore, it's ours and we'll tell you what should be done'.
  21. A very happy New Year to you all. Clearly, if you are a realist and have a grasp of what's about to befall our once great Country it's not going to be a very happy New Year for many who are dispossessed, bewildered, possessed and bereft of hope of ever climbing out of this man made dug fiscal hole that's sees everything we once held dear collapsing around us. That said, if it's at all possible, I wish you well and hope that 2016 brings you and your loved ones happiness, prosperity and good measure of luck and good fortune. We're all, every single one of us, in need of all the bloody luck and good fortune that can be harvested up to withstand the destruction of our society by this rotten Council Cabinet who are intent on buggering everything up. Happy New Year!

  23. Colin, since reading this Topic you've raised I've been having a think and my conclusion is you've really no need to change anything. Hereford Voice, despite its recent problems which I'll come onto shortly, is just fine the way it is. There's nothing wrong with Hereford Voice. There's nothing wrong with its many achievements, most notably the still standing Old Boys Working Home in Bath Street and the constant irritation that many Councillors feel whenever they read our thoughts. If there is anything wrong with Hereford Voice, it's the membership. Yes, the membership, or to narrow it down a little, it's probably me. I read recently, and I think it was Bill Thomas who quite rightly suggested I throw me toys out of the pram whenever I'm met with criticism. Bill's actually wrong, though I see where he's coming from. I actually thrive on criticism. My problem is, and it's my problem and no one else's, is that I've been blogging for so long I've become intolerant to another's view and that is why 'The Shame Of The European Union', that I authored brought about the fracture amongst the membership. I couldn't stomach the idea that people didn't agree with me. Yep! On reflection I've fallen out with just about everyone and one must reach a point where you have to ask yourself a sensible question 'is it me?'. When you can brag that you've got at least four personal Trolls outside of Hereford Voice and you've fallen out with several upon these pages, you've gotta conclude that I may be the problem. And I am. It's me. All of this has its source and it's me and the blasted topic The Shame Of The European Union. Everything that was once fine has been tipped on its head, the membership no longer know whether they're coming or going or they're about to be exposed and have their private working lives placed in peril and it's all because of me and my blasted opinions that, when you cut through it all, are of absolutely no consequence or interest at all to anyone with a modicum of sense. To those that I've been terse to, rude to and aggressive toward, I extend to you my own sincere personal apology and I hope that all of this goes someway toward smoothing things for the membership of Hereford Voice. Me? I can't say I will ever want to post another thought or opinion again upon HV but it's got absolutely nothing to do with Hereford Voice and its membership. It's entirely about me and the way in which I communicate my views and thoughts on issues that have got bugger all to do with me. For all its faults, and they've been exposed, this thing Hereford Voice is for the most part a force for good and long may it continue. And so, I say to my friend Colin, don't be tempted to fix something that isn't broken. There is nothing wrong with Hereford Voice. In fact, given the retirement of Bill Tanner and the obvious impact this will have upon our local media and more importantly, the news we get spoon fed, I'd say that the Hereford Voice and its present format and easy access to the people of Hereford is more important today than ever before. Don't change it Colin. Leave it as it is and don't bust this good thing you've created. My very warmest regards.
  24. Well, I'm clearly on my own on this one. Let me end this by saying that the blogger Dippy has contributed to this place more than any other. In fact, if my memory serves me well this blogger posted near on two thousand pieces to various threads of news and so I say, this humiliation, and that's what it is, a public humiliation upon these pages, is a poor reward for all the time, effort and kindness that this blogger chose to gift to Hereford Voice. Unlike many of us this blogger gave it their all and to be stabbed and humiliated in this manner is a sad reflection upon all of us who think it's all a wonderful thing and worthy of congratulations to our friend Colin. It's a betrayal of friendship and this place is all the poorer for the loss of Dippy. It's your loss, our loss and mine and mark my words there'll come a time when you'll all realise just how important my friend Dippy was to this place. Once again, my warmest regards.
  25. Well, before the bloody axe swings and my neck gets it and clearly I'm for it, I'm telling you now, not that it's worth mentioning, I've never used any name other than bobby47. Never! Whatsmore, theres no way that my dear friends Dippy and Flamboyant have done anything that's wrong. Never! I'll be damned if I accept it. I know the pair of them and they're good people and friends of mine and I'll fight any man or woman who says otherwise. By the looks of things I'm about to get canned and so, before I too meet my end I'd like to wish all, friends and foe alike, a fond fare thee bloody well before I can no longer tap upon Hereford Voice.
