  1. I spoke to Keith Eyles at 7:30am this morning asking if they had cleared the trees, if not please do so. He advised me he would check, and if not would get the work done.
  2. I only have the small wheelie bin and it is always full so lid never close properly, and yes they do look they always have done! as I said to Colin yesterday I did not receive any stickers with my bin other than the white one to put my address and house number on.
  3. Adrian,Having been contacted by Colin James this afternoon, I have made contact with Amey toclear the trees.
  4. I have the original paperwork where it states you can recycle foil containers / wrap as well as all the other items. If it has changed it is only recently because as a councillor I have not been advised of the change and I and my other councillor colleagues should of been. I also deposit foil in my recycle bin this week and I was not advised or asked to remove it.So I will be looking into this. In regard to your suggestion of my doing my homework I can assure you that I do! therefore I did not appreciate your coment.
  5. I have always recycled even before we had the wheeley bins, in the purple bags. Just one correction to your list above YOU CAN recycle silver foil containers and wrap as long as it is clean.
  6. Colin, Having spoken to the painters inspector yesterday I ask when or if they were painting the garages at the Oval, he said the garages are to be painted after all the properties, with the rate they are being painted ( because HHL will not let them complete a street) in about two months time in my estimate.
  7. At some point we've all seen a mattress, fridge or shopping trolley dumped on the side of the road, and although most would see this as inconsiderate and unsightly, some don't give it a second thought! In order to tackle fly tipping, Herefordshire Council Community protection Team, Safer Herefordshire and Amey are working together to promote the Think! No Licence - No Waste Campaign across the county. The Initiative will be launch in High Town on Saturday 3rd September (10am-4pm) and aims to inform people that it's not only illegal to irresponsibly dispose of rubbish, but also to allow it to be removed by a unlicenced trader. Craig Sandman Community Protection team leader and his team will be on hand to answer your questions.
  8. Colin, the person who was warned last year was house number five, but we could not tell from Glastonbury Close open space whether the fir trees was from five or seven so the environment officer called on both.
  9. Alternative bus route will be in operation in Newton Farm due to resurfacing of following roads. On 30th Aug until 31st Aug the Newton Farm bus will not travel along upper Brampton Rd and Kilpeck Ave, pick up point will be in Treago Grove or Brampton Rd opposite the Brampton Rd Stores. 1st Sept until 2nd Sept due to road resurfacing and closure, buses will travel up Goodrich Grove from town and return the same way. Buses WILL NOT pick up or drop off in Masefield Ave, Charlton Ave, Broxash Drive, the Oval or corner of Goodrich Grove.
  10. Roger, I agree with Mick, what do you mean? I would like you to explain your statement!
  11. It was the residents of Newton Farm and Hunderton who asked for new community notice boards to replace the old broken ones, like they have in Belmont, except these will be black metal with a location map on the rear for relevent estate and local information on the front.
  12. I have spoken with the Town Clerk today, he has advised me that the locations that Cllr Edwards and I chose belong to Highways so we will have to ask their permission to install them, again I will advise when highways give their answer.
  13. I spoke to the inspector and Ian Williams himself.
  14. I refer back to a previous post, as one of the city paish councillors together with Councillor Edwards we both ask the city parish council for new community notice boards for both Newton Farm and Hunderton, we had a site meeting a few months ago as to where to locate the new community boards, one will be on the open space right of the chip shop at the Oval, the other will be located by the blossom trees by Blackmarston Road.We chose the same style notice board as the ones in the city. I will telephone the town clerk tomorrow and ask for an update as to when they will be installed.
  15. Yes I agree as a tenant of HHL I would like to know how, and where our money is spent, and the cost. I will ask again for the cost. I did ask the painters they said they did not know either, which I found their answer evasive as they would of negotiated a price to carry out the work.
  16. No they have not replied to my request, and to be honest I do not expect they will, because the cost may cause an uproar.
  17. I received the email below after visiting Glastonbury Close open space when operatives were there this morning, and ask them to clarify the ownership of the willows. Whilst I was there this morning I ask the operatives to cut again the grass verge the length of Glastonbury Close also to cut back the berry trees at the end of the road.
  18. Rotherwas and Lower Bullingham who also has it's own parish council comes under the Hollington Ward. Once you go down the straight mile to Lower Bullingham thats where Hollington ward starts.
  19. Alex, South Wye is when you come over the bridge towards Asda, South Wye consists of five estates Hinton, Putson, Red Hill, Newton Farm and Hunderton. these are all city parish council estates, Belmont is a parish in it's own right, because it is outside the city limits. Belmont ward is the three estates of Newton Farm, Hunderton and Belmont. St Martin & Hinton ward consists of Hinton, Putson, Red Hill, Belmont Rd (from Walnutree Ave)to St Martin Street also Belmont Square, Belmont Ave, Springfield Ave area. I was born in, and have lived in South Wye all my life,if you want any further information let me know.
  20. It was not what I wanted, and yes I told them if they had done what I ask last year they would not be having to do work on the stumps again this year. I have said I want to know when they are doing the work and I will apply pressure on the day while they are there! McDonalds is putting the non drying paint on the wall and fencing to stop people climbing over. From what I have been told they have spent all of this year budget already.
  21. I have heard from the officer this lunchtime in regard to Glastonbury Close and the site visit I arranged last week with officers. Amey will be going there for half a day, as part of a program of works, they will clear the area and cut back the foliage of the stumps but will not remove them altogether due to budget costs. I have accepted this,I feel although this was not what we wanted, something is better than nothing being done at all.
  22. Yes and it was done, the problem now is that they did not come back to check it every so often and it has gone back to the original state from our first request. The site meeting with 2 officers and myself at 9am this morning went well, they are now going to see how much it will cost, and come back to me.
  23. They are in hard copy, I could offer him the minutes in this format but I understand from Colin he is very busy as from today with his job. On another point, please see my latest post in regard to Glastonburt Close I have organised a site visit this morning with officer.
  24. GOOD NEWS! I am pleased to report having spoken to a senior officer this afternoon there is someone coming to Glastonbury Close in the morning to meet me on site, I have advised the officer I want the stumps cut down to ground level, weeds removed, brook cleaned out and the grass cut also do the verge again along the road.I will then be reporting back to the officer tomorrow afternoon in person as we are both going to the same meeting.
