  1. So the staff leaving has already had an immediate impact Glenda...tragic.
  2. Sadly another law Colin that will be difficult to enforce based on limited resources.
  3. Quite frankly I've kind of lost interest in Guy Taylor who if he could would go through life without paying for anything and just arguing the toss. I've seen enough, he wastes my money as a taxpayer and thinks he's being clever but only in the eyes of a few.If we all stopped paying our dues where would we be. As a matter of interest has he ever been gamefully employed? Yes ..I've become irritated of late because many of us go through life paying our taxes, parking tickets, respecting the law and each other. Yes there are times when we should question, however Mr Taylor and crew now feel they have become media personalities while many others feel angry that their punt to stretch the time limit on that parking limit backfired and now they have a grievance because they misread, misunderstood or just took a chance and they didn't get away with it. A few weeks ago an emergency response vehicle in London was blocked because someone had double parked and said driver was 'arguing the toss ' over the rights and wrongs with local civil enforcement. The patient that the response vehicle was trying to reach died...can anyone tell me if the response time had improved would there have been a different outcome? Our actions can have an indirect bearing on other people's lives so i personally would prefer to see two of our very thin blue line members better tasked than having to listen to this stupid man recite aspects of the law..please make it end .
  4. So the Mayor at Ross will put his fine through expenses eh..... I know people get uptight about parking but trust me if parking was free it would also mean a free for all. My company pays around £50 a month on parking in hospital car parks but I know if it were free like in Wales I could be driving around for somewhere to park for an hour. With the exception of the Hereford Hospital which does have the most expensive charges this side of the country most parking charges aren't that bad in the county. There are far for more things to get stressed about ..like rubbish.
  5. As some of the guys have mentioned this should have happened during the build phase however if you park up somewhere in old town and just do a little walking through Widemarsh Street ..sorted right and of course you continue to support the the centre that was. Besides whenever I walk past the kiddie ride I always have a chuckle because I know it's so popular eh Roger
  6. Ah..Good to see the No.1 Ledbury Road 'T' shirts...and Glenda of course!
  7. I personally could not make the meeting but went past before kick off. Sadly the protest outside seemed a little small considering it was a combination of two groups which included campaigners to save No 1 Ledbury Road. Keen to hear what happened inside.
  8. Totally agree ...this is just pure folly. I see its finally got on the HT website.
  9. As a matter of interest do we know the cost of installing this ...is it just one camera? The IR quality isn't bad so I just wondered if there are any restrictions/objections on HV running a campaign to raise funds for additional cameras if funding is an issue?
  10. Hi Colin..talking about functionality keys. Why am I labelled...'0 warning points' for sometime now?
  11. Yes I agree with bungospoon and cloudberry...we have some great displays on the few roundabout s that we have. But as Ubique1 said on the HT site there is not a lot of mention for activities outside the city.
  12. Well I believe the council meeting will be covered by a reporter called Paul Broome and he will get there a bit earlier with his camera!
  13. Actually ...forget last email of course you have this covered.sorry
  14. Amanda ....if the HTA is holding a demo on Friday will this be outside Shire Hall prior to the meeting and if so does the Hereford Times know? I have to drop an email to Rebecca Cain regarding the CQC and could drop it into the mail. Guessing though this base is covered?
  15. https://m.facebook.com/saveoneledburyroad
  16. Amanda..please see a new thread created for Southern Link Road. Would PM only I believe it is still down
  17. It was quite an informal event Chris, a series of tables with a CQC representative on each. I don't think local people know a great deal about the Healthwatch organisation.
  18. Thanks Cambo As I objected I hope therefore that I will receive some kind of notification. I wonder if this will come up at the meeting planned at the Town Hall that Amanda mentioned.
  19. Would that be one of those big phones so that you can find the keys easily?
  20. Running it as a charity is brave Chris. I had little knowledge of this centre until recently but you look into the tired eyes of some of the parents involved and just feel that the burden of responsibility might just be to much if they have to go down this route which is why funding has to be found/maintained because the costs of specialist foster care must be ultimately more in the long run even if they find the individuals who are prepared to take on these great kids who ultimately want routine, stability and familiarity.
  21. 15-30 years target audience Roger...
  22. C'mon guys more positivity...I'd heard a rumour that the government is scratching round departments looking to claw back money to fund refugees coming to Britain..
