  1. Maybe the "Saxon Influence" was behind the decision to bury the Rotherwas Ribbon?? I know we are a tad behind the times here in Hereford, but even I hadn't thought it was that bad!!
  2. Colin....this has absolutely made my day!!! (See Flam, I just knew I deserved one!!!)
  3. Excuse me Flam!!! I think you will find it is Mr. James who decides if I should get a gold star!!! (Please say I can, please say I can, please say I can....!!)
  4. Hi Colin! This is my 80th post in two weeks! Surely this is some sort of record for a new poster?? Please may I have a certificate,or at the very least, a gold star...??????
  5. I don't know Flam, but I wonder if the amount of redacted names has anything to do with this drive towards Personal Independance Allowance. Where folk with a disability are given their own budget and have to buy in their own care/sevices. Most parents and carers I have spoken to,despair of this system - they truly feel they have enough on their plates without the worry of this and all the paperwork that goes with it. If this money was paid out, then it would, I feel, be reasonable not to print names. That said - I don't know this, its just a thought. Anyone with a more definate idea, please post and enlighten me.....!!!!
  6. Bobby, re your last comment. Do you honestly feel that anybody takes the slightest bit of notice of what Patricia Morgan says or thinks anymore?? The answer is a resounding NO! She really needs to go.
  7. Oh Jim! You have not let me down! This is a great response - said with guts, and with feeling! The sooner IOC can take the reins, the better as far as I am concerned.
  8. No real idea Biomech - I do recall that when Belmont / Asda roundabout used to flood, there was some sort of plan to open up the Lines/ Great Western Way so that emergency vehicles could get frome North to South and vice versa, but I have no idea what would be put in place for the great unwashed. A very long diversion seems the probable option......
  9. Oh. My. God! A couple of things spring to mind! 1.They are "monitoring" the situation! That always rings alarm bells! 2."We are confident road users can look forward to some real benefits...." Like what, celebrating getting another year older whilst sat there????!! It is beyond! A timescale please! When - precisely- will this be sorted!!??? And well done Jim for all you are doing about this, and the updates!!
  10. Gridknocker - I am beyond words! Fabulous!
  11. Good Luck - you'll need it! Horrendous going through town! I'd take a Santa hat if I were you, Christmas could come and go and you could still be waiting in a queue!!
  12. I say many things Mark, not many of them are particularly sensible!! Hey ho!
  13. I have just posted a recommendation on HT that should folks want some up to date info on the traffic light nightmare, to join up on here! Well done Colin, this must be an awful lot of work - but it is appreciated!
  14. Short of chaining ourselves together along the breadth of it Biomech, they will be praying there is never a reason to have to divert traffic away from the New Bridge! The devil in me says lets force their hand.....anyone fancy joining me...????
  15. Well done Jim! That email showed great restraint! I'm sure we all appreciate your quick response, and for keeping us in the loop!
  16. That's the funniest thing I've read today...brilliant!
  17. Whitecross Road is also choc-a-bloc today, horrendous trying to get into town. Have seen several emergency vehicles struggling to get through.
  18. Good! There's nothing that gets my working week off on such a happy high, as reading a healthy dose of your codswallop! I have no idea what ingredients you're using in your hand rolled ciggies, but whatever it is, patent it and sell it to us ! We could all do with a little more drivel and tripe in our lives! It makes turning on my computer a worthwhile task!
  19. That's one hell of a list megilleland,I followed the "locality page" link. Is this part of the "one stop shop" way of working, which has been in the pipeline - where, for example you have specific social workers attatched to named schools and so on? Supposedly meant to provide "seamless" service,I have witnessed folk in full headless chicken mode, as bits of this are implemented!
  20. "Let Out!!" Blimey Jim, are things that bad????!!!!!
  21. Cheers Colin! I just knew a sensible reply to my query would be forthcoming!!!
  22. Really, really appreciate this post Mark. Its important people have the full facts, and understanding the history of IOC is a major part of that. Onwards and upwards....!!
  23. Tee Hee!! Very amusing Biomech! I have read your link, and interesting as it is, no mention is made of vegetarian fare! I feel that to trot off down to the Post Office to exchange my hard earned pennies for Sealand dollars,in the hope they have a decent veggie restaurant, may - just may - be a complete and utter waste of my time!!! But thanks for the laugh....much appreciated!!!
  24. Naughty Naughty Ubique! Well, at least you can have your say quite freely on here! Have to say though, with the amount of sometimes quite contentious comments, that seems like a pretty poor reason for giving you the old heave ho.
