  1. Hereford Times: 5:17am Thursday 12th June 2014 in News Are BID (Business Improvement District) going to be involved with this? Seems to make sense if they are.
  2. Support For Guy Taylor Needed On today's UK Column News - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1v_ntEj7qs - Guy Taylor gave an update on his continuing battle with fraudulent banks, utility companies and corrupt courts. To give a little background, Guy's fight began when a Barclays Bank manager allegedly created a fraudulent loan in Guy's name using a forged signature. Details of this can be seen in an episode of our documentary series Insight which can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehklozL6b90 Recently events came to a head when Guy had Bodenham Manor, a property bought by his father for cash and for which there is no outstanding debt, stolen from him when bailiffs, supported by 50 or more police evicted him and his tenants from the property. Guy has demonstrated that all this has happened on the basis of fraudulent documents, and as he showed on the UK Column News today, he has confirmation from the court where the latest documents were apparently issued from that they did not issue them and no hearing took place there. Now they are attempting to steal his own home, on which, again, there is no outstanding debt. So we are asking everyone who can possibly do it to come to Guy's home on Tuesday to support Guy in his efforts to see off this unlawful intimidation. We need as many people on site as possible equipped with cameras, video cameras and notebooks to record events as they happen. The eviction is due to start at 11am on Tuesday the 17th June 2014 at Pear Tree Farm, Carey, Hereford HR2 6NG. We hope to see you there, but whether you can get there or not, please pass this to as many people as possible, and keep an eye on our lunchtime news programmes for updates.
  3. From herefordshire Council News: 11 June 2014 Reviving the velodrome topic is there no possibility that the site could be developed to provide a multi purrpose arena with hotel covering athletics, football, cycling, music & cultural events. Ideas?
  4. Hereford expelled from Conference League. News from H&W radio 4.15pm. Mr Agombar couldn't have had the funds to save the club.
  5. Here's a report from The Hereford Time and The Ledbury Reporter following the Hereford and Worcester Fire & Rescue Authority meeting today: and Strange that Hereford Times not quoting Jim Kenyon as they did in the The Ledbury reporter. I wonder if any mention of the fire station was discussed as we had no agenda to follow. Maybe Jim will tell us.
  6. Thought I would put a bit of background into this: How the Butter Market Hereford looked in the past. Hereford Buttermarket Regeneration Competition RRA reviews shortlist Butter Market Hereford competition entry images Austin-Smith:Lord wins Hereford Buttermarket contest Alternative plan for Hereford Buttermarket
  7. Good point. The removal of grass after cutting is going to be a problem. Even the council don't take it away.
  8. Fire station being discussed today? No agenda on H&WFR website. Hereford and Worcester Fire & Rescue Authority Date: Monday 9 June 2014 Time: 10.30 am - 12.30 pm Location: County Hall, Worcester
  9. From Council News today: Are the Council just trying to off load it or will there be a requirement to restore it as previously planned? Could work well if a co-operative took it over.
  10. I understand they come all the way from Monmouth to Saxon Gate to cut a piece of grass. My partner's daughter tells me this regularly.
  11. It is not only Herefordshire residents that are complaining. Sounds like this no-cutting directive has been put out across the country by the Colition Government as some sort of scheme to cause dissent.
  12. Maybe this is the answer: Weed-eating goats coming back to Dry Creek The city is working with Goat Green LLC to get 220 goats this summer at a cost of $50,000. Sounds like a good idea. If this works then we can replace the Cabinet with monkeys.
  13. Why not let sheep and goats loose over the city they'll soon have it cut down to size.
  14. The question to ask is how long do this council want the public to cut the grass. At what point will they resume normal service? I don't mind keeping the outside of my property tidy, I pick up the litter when I see it and do several streets and an open area for an hour every Sunday. Is that good enough? This is a scheme to divide the community. There are going to be people who will say why should I do that I pay council tax. There are people who couldn't care less about the environment what with the flytipping we get around here. The agencies who had the manpower and authority are shirking their responsibilities. The only agency cutting the grass is Herefordshire Housing, but that is only to keep their open space attractive until they can sell or dispose of it in the future. What's happening to the city council's neighbourhood plan? All the other parishes seem to be be well under way with theirs.
  15. Have you tried UK Column on YouTube an alternative news source - they do a daily stream?
  16. Downloaded Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire joint vision for 2020. This document shows how councils are being encouraged by central governmnet to spend their time merging services across borders and greating new empires. All of this without, they say, affecting their local ratepayers. I recommend that people read this and take in the thinking behind making these changes all part of the Government's Transformation Programme. Here are some snippets: In other words you won't get your grass cut. The government will bribe the councils to change. The money no doubt disappearing into the pockets of a chosen few. Looks like our councillors will be tied up in knots trying to act for us. In other words leave the officers to run the show. The only way to screw more money out of us This one is worrying and supports my view that in 10 to 15 years local authorities as we know them will not exist and will be absorbed in the regional LEPs. There is plenty more in the document to realise that local ratepayers and council workforce don't count. A 2020 Vision for Joint Working.pdf
  17. I don't think Johnson is paid that sort of money. If he was we would all be standing for council. PUBLIC NOTICE LOCAL AUTHORITIES (MEMBERS’ ALLOWANCES) (ENGLAND) REGULATIONS 2003 The following table is published in accordance with the above Regulations. Herefordshire Council have published Councillors’ allowances annually since 2003, when the above Regulations came into force. The published allowances have been advertised in the local press, publicly available to view on the website, or for inspection at the Council offices at Brockington, since 2003. The table shows the total sum paid by Herefordshire Council to each Member of the Council for the period 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2013 in respect of Basic Allowance, Special Responsibility Allowance, Travel and Subsistence Expenses and ICT and Consumables Allowance. For example taking Cllr RJ Phillips the highest paid councillor over the last six years with the exception of 2012/2013 - he claimed: For the period 1 April 2007 to 31 March 2008 Cllr RJ Phillips was getting £46,246.98 For the period 1 April 2008 to 31 March 2009 Cllr RJ Phillips was getting £44,492.33 For the period 1 April 2009 to 31 March 2010 Cllr RJ Phillips was getting £52,675.23 For the period 1 April 2010 to 31 March 2011 Cllr RJ Phillips was getting £47.650.89 For the period 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012 Cllr RJ Phillips was getting £30,088.95 For the period 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2013 Cllr RJ Phillips was getting £26,613.58 Total £200,117.07 Interesting to note that for the latest period 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2013 while Cllr RJ Phillips was getting £26,613.58, their new leader Cllr A W Johnson is only getting £17,470.49. However tucked away is Cllr J G Jarvis claiming £45,605.27. So is Johnson only a puppet and Jarvis is again pulling the strings? Latest allowances:
  18. Just heard on H&W radio that Hereford United get stay of execution and must pay outstanding monies, as directed by the Conference Board, by 10.00am tomorrow (Saturday)
  19. Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire are considering combining their services. Of course all in the interests of their rate payers. Their 2020 vision looks blurred to me. I always thought the councils can't see the wood for the trees. A 2020 Vision for Joint Working.pdf
  20. Missed the link above. Read the mantra here: A 2020 Vision for Joint Working.pdf
