  1. Because it's the BBC.
  2. As someone else said when I told them on the night he was there , I bet most in the Black Lion didn't have a clue who he was. He used to own a house near Monmouth back in the day.
  3. They must think they are going to be busy, there are 4 or 5 delivery scooters parked waiting outside. Do they realise this is Hereford ??
  4. I stopped my interest in football in the 70s. That said I have nothing against the game and it was a sad time for Hereford when HUFC went bust etc. The new team hopefully will pull things back eventually for the fans and put the town back on the football map. But I as others question where these thousands of fans / followers were when they were needed a few years ago when gate numbers were at an all time low. Good luck to the team and I hope the fans stick with them through the good times as well as the bad.
  5. Upset Foreigners , Mmmmmmmm well as they say " fit in or fk off" .
  6. Agreed. Please see my original post at the beginning of the thread, as I said I have seen it from both ends .
  7. If John Newman was saying it was a good idea wasn't he behind the brain wave to turn the traffic around in the town at a reported cost of 100 k only to be turned back again.
  8. Like it or not but there has always been a difference between North and South,(not everyone, just a small number that spoil it for the rest) and before anyone jumps down my throat , yes I have lived both sides of the river, seen it from both sides.
  9. A lot of catering establishments have come and gone that end of town , if anyone can give it a go it will be the Polish community. They will look after their own , is it the first Polish restaurant in Hereford ?/ I don't know .
  10. H H should be able to answer that , they must have given permission for the leeches to put their signs up.
  11. There is another argument for the County Court powers, that is another argument . CC's are not a real court which is a very grey area but it does take some rigmarole to prove it .
  12. My partner owns a property in Marcle Walk, she rents the property out. There are lockable lift up posts that have been there since the properties were built, in all fairness the residents know their spaces and tend to respect the issue. We were never approached as to whether we were happy with this, who's idea was it, or was it something else just foist upon the residents , like it or not. As Colin James has pointed out above you are well within your rights with these set ups to tell them where to go with their tickets.
  13. Scum, don't deserve to have children.
  14. Yes, on reflection my choice of wording in my original post was not correct, I should have pointed out what I said further down the thread that a few spoil it for others. I hold my hand up and did not want to offend anyone.
  15. My point exactly , a few leads to a few more , people see a pile and they add to it. Basically can't be arsed to take it to the tip so sling it out of sight.
  16. I am not blaming an entire community, read my post . I am saying "a few" soon spoil the place, that is my point.
  17. I think the pictures speak for themselves also the areas have been mentioned in the thread. Not a generalization, the inhabitants drag an area down no matter where it is, people seem to see a mess and add to it. Unfortunately the education system has not pushed the subject enough for many years.
  18. Clean for the County , yes why not , clean for the queen? why ?? It would take an age to teach the half wits who cannot conduct their activities to learn how to keep the place clean. There are areas of Hereford that the inhabitants deserve nothing better than a steel shipping container, they are pigs
  19. I hope she has come to no harm , but she is not a Hereford woman, she is a Polish woman who has been in Hereford. Her belongings have gone with her so probably moved on .
  20. Another local character gone. I had dealings with Fred years ago, heard stories about him from my late Father who was his age. Some liked him some did not, I never had any qualms with him. RIP Fred.
  21. Just been into town this morning. The place needs sorting now before it's too late ( probably is) every time I go there it has deteriorated some more. Parts of it are disgusting. Sadly the old areas are in a sad state which will put people off visiting yet again.
  22. I think my next one was in The Lich, (it was used in a tv programme earlier in the week as well as The Cathedral) I worked at Mead and Tomkinson with Mr Worthys son Kevin, he went to help run The Bell with his father.
  23. Thanks. A few pubs in Hereford have done full circle, names changed then go back to original later. Just because a pub went bad a simple change of name does not make it a better place. I had my first under age pint in The Hop Pole. As you said cheaper drinks and a few big screens should do it in that location, simple.
