There is more than one issue relating to this rail link as there is no rail link from Ross to Hereford and no college in Ross they all come to Hereford. only way is by road if you have a good infrastructure you would not need a sub rail station. Hereford has the distinction of being the only city in the country without a by pass.To access a motorway from Hereford is 14 miles to the M50 or 28 miles to the M5 ,you do not have to be intelligent to work out why we do not have a thriving economy in this city.I worked for a large multi national company that left this city because of the infrastructure it is far to expensive to run a business with the transport costs that Hereford has to offer. Remember this is classed as an Agriculture area and salaries are cheaper if this council had one ounce of intelligence among them then we would be exploiting that advantage not be wasting money on consultants who have no interest in this city apart from financial gain in there pockets.We need to attract large companies here we have to invest for the future long term, not patch this up it will be okay for a couple of years we will not be here when money needs to be spent .That is how i sum up Hereford council past and present for a city with a population in excess of 53,000 it is a joke. is this phil edwards did he not give away land to developers for nothing

Roger why do you think Glenda needs to get a grip she is stating the facts.I have had another Councillor ring me with concerns about this as they had been contacted by a lady who walks her dogs up there and she has seen them feeding the rats. I used to take my dogs up to Belmont Lakes but because of the problem with the algae and now the rats I keep away.What would happen if a child or dog got bit by a rat.If people are feeding them they will not be scared of human beings.

He gets paid for being a Councillor so why is he not doing the job,passing the problem with the rats onto someone else and Glenda still having phone calls from people who have tried to contact Cllr Edwards and he does not reply to them.The problem with the rats is that people are feeding them.Putting notices up would be a help saying do not feed them.I used to take my dogs for walks up by the lake I now avoid it.

Anyone who walks around Belmont Lakes beware there is a rat problem.I know you will get rats around any lake but People have been feeding them.People take there children up to the lake what if a rat bit a child .A lady who walks her dogs there was that worried she contacted Cllr Phil Edwards about this because he is in charge of the Country Park and a Councillor.But instead of sorting the problem out he passed it onto someone else. Has any one seen Cllr Edwards since the Election he seems to have disappeared except for the photo in the Hereford times a few weeks ago.

It is not right for Glenda to do the job Cllr Edwards is getting paid for.Nobody has seen him since the Election.Except for this putting up a sign right on his doorstep.People are still coming to Glenda with there problems because they know she will sort them out.And as for telling a young boy off because he was trying to grow wild flowers what has happened to all the wildflower seeds that were sowed a few years ago.I did notice the only ones that were there were mowed away by him and have not come back this year.

We have Hedgehogs in our garden and I feed them every night they like meal worms crushed peanuts and crushed cat biscuits No bread or milk only water .I have a hedgehog house and last week i went to feed them and found a white rat in there very tame I took him to the RSPCA and they couldn't find the owner so they have now re homed him.

There has been another stabbing.I think they are okay though.

We live off Waterfield road and have a green around our house with a row of trees surrounding it at the back of our house there were that many you could not see the houses in Pixley Walk. Hereford housing have come along and chopped them down there are only about 5 left I know some have died over the years but some were healthy.They told me they would be replacing them with new ones it has not happened yet and doubt it will.

They are taking the pig they can't look after any of there other properties look at the state Sherbourne close is in.Rubbish everywhere pavements cracked and over grown. If all of you refuse to pay it what can they do.It's up to the tenant or owner to keep there property clean and tidy.

Just walked the dogs over the country park by were Cllr Edwards lives and there are 2 mattresses dumped over there near the top of the basket ball pitch in the woods if Cllr Edwards reads this can he do something about it it looks a mess he is going to be very busy around Newton Farm.

Maybe he might come on here and have the guts to say why he is for the road,but I think we will be waiting a very long time.I know you read these posts so come on Mr Edwards put your point of view across.

I know a few people who had leaflets on the morning of the election which i know is not allowed hopefully this will be looked into

I am sad that Glenda Powell did not get in she has done a lot for the people of Newton Farm over the past 12yrs.I am disgusted at the way Phil Edwards run his campaign.Telling every one she was too ill to be a Councillor.I was there at the count and what he did after the results snatching the microphone and saying tell Belmont voice I have won.He came to my house around 2 weeks ago and I told him it was disgusting him going against Glenda when he was told not to.I asked him why was he not standing for Belmont he said because Adrian Bridges was well that backfired as he didn't get in.I asked him why he doesn't come on this website he told me because of the lies that were on here about him.He also said he was taking legal action against Colin and Hereford Voice.He also said he had permission to put the sign on the toilets I said well the council can't find the man who owns it so how did he If he. If he had stood for Belmont they might now have 2 independents as Councillors .Big mistake now it looks bad on him .Also I helped Glenda with putting up some campaign boards funny thing happened within half an hour of putting one up at the top of Newton Farm it disappeared, who was canvasing in the area him and now it has come to light someone saw him putting it in the back of his car.If this is true bad on you for the dirty tricks that have been done.You will find the job as Councillor on Newton Farm a lot harder than Belmont.As Glenda gave 100% of her time to us all.I know you come on here and read the posts well maybe now you might like to write something like all the other Councillors do.

I got a problem with you .You can't go around calling people names how would you like it ,just drop it.She does a lot for the community I know she gets things wrong sometimes we all do.If you want to help the tennants just do it yourself.Glenda has been helping the tenants and residents of Newton Farm for years now and she is doing a good job.You will find out how hard it is working with HHL yourself.So stop slagging off other people and just get on with it.

It took someone i know one and a half hours to get from Rotherwas up to Newton farm yesterday was it because the lights were out ?

We run a playgroup there for many years and had some good times there so sad to see it go.

We have contacted Jessie Norman and he is writing to the minister in charge.We await his reply.

We used to run a nursery there for many years it's sad it's going. Would have been nice to have a big community centre there and youth club. They are also building on the open space just up the road were the park is. Where are the kids going to play now?

My self and my husband are both disabled and at the moment the change to the benefit system for DLA and ESA is terrible.My husband has worked all his life and was disabled.Then he had an accident 8 years ago and now can't work.We have had trouble getting the benefits we are untitled to.At the moment we have been living off my money since October 2013 which is £110 a week all savings have gone and we have to sit here in the cold with no heating on just so we can buy food, and we are struggling.Do they care no you ring them they put you through to one department then another and another and no one is helping or wants to help.It is a mess.They will not help us as there is such a backlog of claims to be looked at.So it is not easy to get what you are untitled to.It's okay for them at the top living in there big houses nice and warm.

How can Adrian Bridges stand for election and help the people in the community when he can't work together with another Independent councillor.?Him self and Phil Edwards have got a big grudge against the councillor.I can't understand why.Maybe it's because she gets things done when asked to and doesn't stop until they have been done.Phil Edwards highjacked the hereford city election to stop one councillor being elected to deputy mayor this year, he got every councillor not to vote for her.This is not what we want in a political party if they did this at the top nothing would be done and they would always be fighting.

The builders are keeping half the houses built at the Oval, who is going to buy a house in the area ? I think they are going to have trouble selling them.Also there is not enough houses left for the residents who are to be rehoused I don't think someone has done there sums right.

Just to let people know it's quicker going in the old lane around to Asda not the new lane they have made.

I was sat in the traffic to come up Abergavenny rd from Asda roundabout, because they have left the old lane to go round to Asda there were 3 cars which merged into 1 lane to come up the Abergavenny road there is going to be quite a few accidents why have they not got rid of this lane.

Well Cllr Edwards will not get my vote,and I am sure no one else around here will vote for him,after wasteing money putting the stuppid carpark at Waterfield road which hardly any one uses.People in Newton Farm know you Glenda and after what he and his new best buddy have done to you, just because you got something done and it was not them I don't think he will get many votes.
