  1. A Merry Christmas to all. Even though I'm working over part of the holiday season, I will still enjoy it.
  2. The BBC are so biased in their reporting it is shameful for a publicly funded organisation.
  3. Clarkester, ever been to Bosbury? There are 2 people at my place of work who are born natives. Can't understand them. However, we get frequent deliveries from couriers from Switzerland. Swiss German and Bosburyish? Same thing.
  4. Don't mind really, as long as the revenue is spent, as it is supposed to be, on the roads. I mean mending them not building them. Unless it's a bridge over the river.
  5. I just wonder, correct me if I'm wrong, but is there any need for a permanent site with so many web sites advertising Hotels,B&B's, shopping etc?
  6. Then she will get a single person's allowance on the council tax then. Plus 2 year funding at a nursery.
  7. Not me Glenda. Apparently, according to HMRC, my wife and I earn too much to get any benefits as we both work full time No child tax credit, no help with council tax, no help with heating or water bills, no food coupons, no mortgage relief. Nothing. Maybe I am shouting about this, but, I repeat, I am not drawing benefits. Now maybe, just maybe this young lady isn't either, I find it extremely hard to believe, but OK. Now, how about answering my other question. Where is the father of said child and is he contributing? I grow tired of this.
  8. Yes Glenda, I do. However, I can't bring myself to rise any higher concerning this sob story. Regards.
  9. Glenda, I'm sorry if I did not realise that a single mother, working part time and in a housing association property was not claiming benefits. The squadron of pigs have just passed by followed by the train of 9 reindeer. The time for miracles, n'est pas?
  10. Can't do the quote bit. Adrian seems to be the connoisseur on chip shops. Me I prefer decent ale, and food at a reasonable price. The Steak & Cider Co seemed a good idea. The "Full Pitcher" in Ledbury has gone, good food. Now "The Spread Eagle". "The Booth" was unfortunate due to the fire. Oh well, who cares what colour the hoardings are! Does it get people into town? Does it create revenue? What it does do, is reduce the number of listed buildings in our city that have a place of purpose!!
  11. Good grief. I understand, correct me if I am wrong, but people got a cash sum to move whilst the site was demolished and a new house built. Now she is moaning. OK. Get a full time job, pay full time nursery fees, get a mortgage, pay for all the DIY yourself and THEN you can moan. Or, failing that, get the father of your child/children to cough up some money and relieve the onus on us tax payers.

    Paris

All this EU 3rd Reich, watch the borders close now. All euro borders will be manned, all the young men with I Phones claiming to be immigrants will, or should be, fingerprinted. Who takes responsibility for that! The first country they land in? The vast cost and personnel makes it impossible. And beware. Jihadi John was allegedly killed. The Paris thing was about their planes. Watch out over here. Integration my backside!

    The "peaceful" religion. My ar*e.
  14. Sun. Newspaper. Laugh I did. "The Sun says". Ha. I hope you get my drift.
  15. The good old "Daily Fail". This has been on the cards for a few years now, and , as he owns the majority of the land around there, he can build if he wants. If the Mail want to point the finger and ridicule someone, they should try the Church, who are in the process of selling green arable land at 3 Elms for a 1000 houses.
  16. Who? Never heard of the young lady. However, that's not unusual. My wife and daughter think I'm a dinosaur regarding music anyway. Much prefer Trad. Jazz and Blues.
  17. Lovely gesture in the Co-op at Bobblestock today. The whole store was silent for 2 minutes at 1100. The only thing moving was the Christmas decorations in the air-con stream. Well done staff and customers.
  18. Why is Amelie apologising about her English? It's better than some natives of this fine county.
  19. Had dinner the other night at Wagamama's. Parked at the Old Market and noticed the registration on the ticket. It got one letter wrong, M instead of W, but no problems when paying and leaving the car park.
  20. And your spelling and grammar! Find a positive in Hereford. Or go?
  21. I read all this, and still wonder if the Freedom Church are paying for everything, or am I, as a rate payer.
  22. Leaves, inclines whatever, do not help some one, (me), standing on Ledbury Platform 2 waiting in the dark, wet and cold for a 92 ton train to get delayed by 30 minutes due to a wet bit of cellulose. "Travel by Public Transport" is the cry! Sure. £7.30 return and no guarantee of turning up, or the car. Me know which way I lean.
