  1. If you think that complaining about a sign, banners and A boards will have an impact on FC then you are p------ in the wind.

I don't recall anyone complaining about the Odeon signs or the banners for Fusion nor about the large number of A boards littered around the city centre. Of course because one very minor complaint has not been responded to it is all part of a great Council conspiracy. I would rather the Council enforcement team spent their time investigating significant breaches rather than on a few signs on a grotty building which if you think about it honestly cause no real harm.

  2. Farms have nothing to do with Council services but there is still a fuss about selling them and using the money raised for services that they have to provide!

If you read the report (although the automatic assumption by many is that it is flawed) you will see that it is not economic. Whether or not there would be a Council subsidy why would the train company go ahead with something that would have a predicted revenue shortfall of £100K per year and with an estimated passenger demand less than half of what would normally be required? Who would pay the shortfall - we would have to.

Rotherwas exists -  it was designated an EZ to use the benefits that come into force with such a designation. Why moan about accessibility when most moaned about the new access road - it's relatively straightforward from there to the M50

  3. Cloudberry - all good points and I agree that it is not clear if the park and ride option was considered. I was not so much put off by the idea but by the subsidy that was suggested. Spend money subsidising a rail link or put it into adult social care? I also noted that extending the existing services down to Rotherwas could have a knock on impact on the Hereford to Birmingham service timetable and we know how fragile that is.

As to freight I have argued for years that Cargill and Sun Valley should use the rail link that runs directly into their sites. What a difference taking the lorries from these factories off the roads would make?

I have also argued that the remaining old freight area at Barrs Court (now the Railtrack yard) should be retained for freight.

Also there is Moreton Park which has an operational rail head for businesses that need that.

  4. I was along there earlier and yes the leaves have made the surface a bit tricky particularly by the Barton Road bridge. You just have to be a bit careful. Phew - dodging wet leaves as well as loose dogs, dogs on extender leads, wayward children, wobbly adults and people on their phone - it is like cycling on an obstacle course :Happy_32:

  5. Rats scared of us humans - don't make me laugh!

What are the Council or even less the Police meant to do?

Put up a few signs saying don't feed the rats? Even if that worked the rats probably would not leave or even if they did they would probably forage a bit more at the nearby houses. Signs saying don't feed the pigeons in High Town did not work.

Perhaps the Council could pay for a cull. Well even if they culled every rat for 10 miles they would still return in the future.

Yes vermin such as rats, foxes, pigeons and gulls do need controlling but let's get a bit of perspective.

Of course if your only agenda is to have another go at the local councillor  then..........

  6. Perhaps this explains some of my posts.

I often see my user name and say to myself - did I actually write that?

Now I can be sure it was someone else using my username!! :Winky:

Colin - could you arrange for a filter so that if I have had Stowfords Press I cannot post. :Happy_32:

If you want to see the carnage multiple user names etc. can cause have a look at HFC's forum
