  1. Blue sky seems to have been very rare this winter we seem to have had a lot of November days - it is lovely to see blue sky captured
  2. I think I am correct in saying that Powys CC do not sub contract their road maintenance work
  3. Brilliant idea - many churches have drop off points for tinned and dry foods (packet soup etc) for food banks this would be serve as an excellent extension of the theme
  4. The Tories just do not understand the tidy as you go along and good housekeeping teachings - roads open spaces the list is getting longer each day Is this proposed thing to serve any useful purpose or is it just something to look at in awe?
  5. https://www.herefordshire.gov.uk/documents?id=2cbe5321-e926-11e6-ab41-0050569f00ad Refusal Notice - well done Planning Department
  6. TWG it is a charity not a business te he
  7. I found a bit today from Wormelow to just this side of St Weonards - quite good really
  8. Might be easier to list where there is a good road surface!
  9. Colin - I stick the info on and you edit it for me that is fine by me. It did not go unnoticed that you edited Trump for me! I really really don't mind
  10. Sadly people try to do this all the time in this country with their elderly/infirm relatives. Quite common to dump a granny in a hospital but to pay for the air fare from the USA is a little extreme - there are indeed some very strange people in this world and happily Roger Curry is now settled and better off without his evil famly

  12. Should take you to a very fast moving petition. https://t.co/m1iuNNl8in
  13. Whilst this is not a forum about roads I must give credit where credit is due. Setting aside surplus staff and endless tea breaks BB look to have made a crackingly good job cleaning out the ditches along the Vowchurch/Poston Peterchurch road. A road notorious for surface water flooding. It will be tested when it rains heavily next. It goes to show they have the capability pity it cannot be done throughout the county.
  14. The Winter 2016/17 Place magazine is now available to view online. There is quite a well informed lengthy article on the trees in King George's PF alongwith much else to read and inwardly digest
  15. Surely this is not he same one if so another example of the mighty toppling
  16. There is always hope that this will topple one day - listen to what is happening to BT Europe who would have thought that they had not got it all nicely stitched up. I cannot believe the leaders of the "Game" are more clever than the leaders of BT.
  17. Charity grant for potentially lifesaving defibrillators (From Worcester ... www.worcesternews.co.uk/.../15041610.Charity_grant_for_potentially_lifesaving_de... The Four Acre Trust is donating £50,000 towards buying additional automated external defibrillators(AEDs) for rural areas of Worcestershire and Herefordshire If any charity or organisation is thinking about looking into getting a defibrillator. Mind you to qualify for Four Acre Trust funding you have to be in a rural area
  18. I have failed to copy across Jim Mooney's tweet so I will re -transmit what he said Licence revoked applicants did not show. This does not come into force for 21 days to allow time for appeal. This is not word for word
  19. Here for Hereford â€@HereforHereford 2h2 hours ago Council "redact" 54% of their monthly spend. Surely so much public money should be publicly accounted for. Hereford Voice @HerefordVoice Where's the money going? - http://www.herefordvoice.co.uk/topic/2448-wheres-the-money-going/ …
  20. It is an absolute disgrace that expenditure of public money - our money - is not accounted for in an open and transparent way. With cut backs being made on so many vital services it came up in a meeting the other day that the Council have found a considerable amount of money in the pot to explore the bypass - we will no more find out which pot of money this came out of than we will be told the recipients of the redacted monies. I can take a guess at one payment but not publicly!!!
  21. Don't you think that is precisely why the Council have managed to get us into this kind of debt - they just accept a price for a part/job
  22. Ah the copper kettle was that not discussed on here a couple of years ago? Last heard of it had gone to be cleaned!
  23. Let's hope they are vandal proof. Watching Simon Weston on Countryfile last night reminded me of the very dark days during the Falkland War let us hope ............
  24. A PA has been submitted HERE for conversion of the first and second floors of what used to be Goldings into 7 apartments/flats. Although Golding Stores Ltd are named as the applicants they have now changed their name to Charwill (UK) Ltd
  25. Matt as in Mathews - or so somebody on FB has said - I take no credit for it
