  1. How do you make me an unofficial troubleshooter, and don't class me the same as smartieno, because i am nothing like him

I think what Roger is suggesting is that you are no longer an elected councillor, therefore you are an unofficial troubleshooter, which is what smartieno1 is, he is not elected yet thinks he can go around as if he is and attempts to act on someone else's behalf, puts demands on people and expects answers and then gets frustrated when he is not taken seriously, mind you I have to ay imo he has always gone about things differently to maybe how I would.

  2. In the post about locality manager report of works to be or have been done on GWW there are trees that have died and are coming down also with the new development at the Oval there will be houses bordering on the GWW so more people around, and lights from these properties will be on, making the GWW  more light. In regard to the tram if Herefordshire council was interested they would of gone with Mr Heinz offer all those years ago but they didn't. In my oppinion (others may disagree with me) but unless the idea comes from the council they are not interested!

There were large tall flats there before and the light coming from these made hardly any difference Glenda, so I fail to see how the new houses (which will be lower to the ground) will give off more light? On the contrary, I think they will give off a lot less light onto the GWW.

What is needed is ADDITIONAL LIGHTING along the whole of the GWW from one end to the other with CCTV and additional Police patrols 24/7.

Getting back to the topic, I see that the Police have no motive or suspect yet for this murder which is quite worrying.

  3. Yeah ... I saw your post. I posted the petition link as the attached comments on it are quite revealing. No one appears to feel safe using that area. The cops counter the situation by usually trotting out the tired old crap that Hereford is ordinarily a safe place to live and work in ~ with a low crime rate. I don't generally disagree with the cold hard stats. However the perception of crime happening is off the scale. Which seems to fly over their heads completely.

This tram idea would make people feel more safe along this GWW, the overgrown bushes and tree's do not help either, I think Colin has mentioned that these need cutting back in one of the topics previously and I completely agree, it would be easy for an attacker to hide in the shadows.

  4. Is it me? but these new houses (grey ones) on the bend opposite where St Francis church used to be are starting to look like a ghetto before they have even been completed. I did not realise they were going to be so close to the roadside and in one complete vile looking grey block. This is not how these photographs visualise them to be.

  5. Nothing there for me, I am very fussy with what I eat, in that I do not eat much meat, I certainly do not eat steak. I can not see myself going in any of the restaurants in the Old Market to be honest. TBH, I do not see myself going over to the old Market again anyway.

Oh I may go to the cinema for Star wars, or may wait until it comes onto Blue-ray.

I see the old farmers club may become a Loungers, sounds as exciting as the ones they have in the old market, that sort of price range as well.

Good to see your supporting the Old Market.  :Thumbs-Down:  This town has been waiting for something new and different, lack of support will be its demise, just my thoughts for the day.

  6. Before I went to Barcelona last week I sent an e-mail to Cllr Edwards about the flytipping behind Sherborne Close. Returning yesterday, all the debris on both Herefordshire Housing and Council land has been removed and cleared up - a vast improvement. How long it will be tidy for remains to be seen, but well done to all concerned for moving so quickly.

Good news, hope it stays that way.

  7. In for me, controll the boarders and immigration to an acceptance and responsible level/system. What we would loose In trade would out weigh any fines and benifits. It's all about the bigger picture.

Yep thats about it, I would vote to stay in too.

  8. I just looked up the word bullying on this urban dictionary = The worst way to make someone feel awful about themselves. Putting others down so you feel better about yourself

Let me remind myself what WirralPC wrote: I won't miss 'casting pearls' before ****-caked ignorant tory swine either.

sorry bobby47 but he needs to practice a little more about what he preaches about others.

  9. Afternoon Alex!

    A quick question.

Who are "They" that you refer to??

Hi M Preece, could you clarify for me.....

"Moaning about this and groaning about that."

Would this be Bullying? Abuse? Organised grooming gangs??

I don't believe I've ever noticed a contribution from you on any of the threads covering these subjects, so I'm unaware on your thoughts.

Perhaps you don't feel that bullying, abuse etc. are worthy of a "moan"?

I am interested to hear your opinion!

Hello dippyhippy, I agree with Alex statement above, I am in full agreement over the bullying of disabled people 100% thread but I do not agree with his constant moans about the tory government and anyone who he even thinks is tory is then subjected to a hale of crap, sorry, he lost a lot of credibility with me once that started. Just because members choose to not always interact it does not mean that they are not following what is being said. I often refrain from commenting, especially if its something out of my depth or something i do not fully understand. I hope this clarifies my position. I am sure his heart is a good one but the abuse I cannot tolerate. Even when he was given a warning (which was overdue in my opinion) he then goes on Twitter complaining and criticising the site editor, he basically threw his rattle out of the pram, these actions are someone immature for a grown man.

  10. Couldn't ever understand why he spent so much time here - perhaps he's banned in the Wirral? It's Hereford Voice - we can't deal with all the ills in the world, Hereford is challenging enough. Having been subjected to his extreme abuse, I blocked his posts so I didn't have to see them, but that doesn't make it right. If you have banned him then that is absolutely the right thing to have done. :Thumbs-Up: Sorry bobby47, but I am certainly no poorer for it.

Ditto, I blocked his rants sometime back. I find it ironic that these people spend all their time online moaning about this and moaning about that, he is clearly anti tory too, get a job!!! He complains about Gary Barlow avoiding his taxes (which is factually incorrect) yet they don't pay taxes themselves, on the contrary, they take from the system instead. Lets get back to talking about Herefordshire, personally, I will not miss him.

  11. I am sad that Glenda Powell did not get in she has done a lot for the people of Newton Farm over the past 12yrs.I am disgusted at the way Phil Edwards run his campaign.Telling every one she was too ill to be a Councillor.I was there at the count and what he did after the results snatching the microphone and saying tell Belmont voice I have won.He came to my house around 2 weeks ago and I told him it was disgusting him going against Glenda when he was told not to.I asked him why was he not standing for Belmont he said because Adrian Bridges was well that backfired as he didn't get in.I asked him why he doesn't come on this website he told me because of the lies that were on here about him.He also said he was taking legal action against Colin and Hereford Voice. He also said he had permission to put the sign on the toilets I said well the council can't find the man who owns it so how did he If he. If he had stood for Belmont they might now have 2 independents as Councillors .Big mistake now it looks bad on him :Blushing_32: .Also I helped Glenda with putting up some campaign boards funny thing happened within half an hour of putting one up at the top of Newton Farm it disappeared, who was canvasing in the area him and now it has come to light someone saw him putting it in the back of his car.If this is true bad on you for the dirty tricks that have been done. You will find the job as Councillor on Newton Farm a lot harder than Belmont. As Glenda gave 100% of her time to us all.I know you come on here and read the posts well maybe now you might like to write something like all the other Councillors do.

I'm baffled as to why any decent candidate would want to compete with a fellow party member in the same area. We all know Glenda has represented NF for years so this move by Mr Edwards is rather nasty, but it is obviously more of an ego thing I think Oh well, what goes around comes around. I hope that Glenda can brush herself down and stand again when the opportunity presents itself. I agree with a lot of others on here that the independents and IOC working together would of got shot the conservative council for sure.

Mr Edwards comes on here regular, I know because he told someone that I know, he claims he will not come on because lies have been written about him??? What is he referring too? Why doesn't he come on and defend himself if thats the case? Load of pish! I spoke with Colin and he offered this website originally to Belmont Rural for FREE and they declined his kind offer and decided to spend our money on their own website which never looks updated to me. Mr Edwards had the opportunity to come on here like my other councillors have done in the early days, so this lie business is just an excuse.

  12. What a lot of rubbish (excuse the pun) due to the high winds in the last 24 hours there are currently 3 wheelie bins half way down our street i noticed this morning, i suppose that's the councils fault too is it?  Well let me tell you what I have done today, I collected each of these bins and put them back where they had come from and wedged them as best as I could to prevent this happening again. I also informed each of my neighbours, who i must add were very happy and thanked me, so being a good neighbour has to be better than playing the 'Blame Game' in my experience.

Good for you, I wish a few more people would take a leaf out of your book. Well done.  :Thumbs-Up:

  13. Not in agreement at all actually - definitely not on the "speculative invoices" - but I do understand that its a way to stop people parking on "my" land.

I think you have missed the point here, the landlord, in most cases gets NOTHING from these car park management companies, they merely approach landlords and say this is the best way to deal with people who park on their land, we will do everything and it will not cost you a penny. (But we will earn a small fortune) In general, most landlords will just agree as it costs them nothing. This is not so much about the landlords this is about these companies scamming people and I would never pay them without a court order, which funny enough is very unlikely, why is that? It's one big scam and needs addressing in my opinion.
