megilleland
On the plan what is the difference between affordable rented units and affordable shared units?
Glenda Powell
Rented units are solely to rent, affordable shared units is you put down a deposit, you then rent the property for a set time and then you take a mortgage out for the remainder of the cost. I would not recommend this people have been caught out simply because if you fail to make a payment of rent you lose your home, and your deposit it is written in the initial contract you sign which is reviewed every 6 months. There were a lot of problems with Persimmon in Belmont when they built houses under this scheme.

twowheelsgood
Introducing lots of traffic lights on Roman Road - there's a surprise, we need more of those like a hole in the road. So, 450 houses and zero improvement to the existing road infrastructure to cope with the extra load.

Any possibility at this late stage to get these cockwombles to do the decent thing and put a roundabout in instead....No thought not
herefordman75
No, they can't put a roundabout in, the planners are not allowed sharp objects, and a pair of compasses (?) has a sharp point.
greenknight
As most new housing developments in Herefordshire are not being adopted by the council and management fees will have to be paid I wonder how long it will be before a legal case is bought against the council demanding a council tax deduction. On these sites you will be paying full council tax just for bin collection and of course your precept for police/fire and social care. Street lighting, roads, pavements, verges, signage, grass cutting etc ..all paid for separately.
