  1. IOC leaflets of some of the candidates are posted here https://www.facebook.com/itsourcounty?ref=ts&fref=ts
  2. Does anyone know where Newton Farm ward ends and Belmont Rural begins? I thought Cllr Edwards was responsible for Belmont and Cllr Powell Newton Farm and they were separate wards? Is there a boundary map of ward areas? Cllr Powell and Cllr Edwards are not the only candidates for the Newton Farm Ward so it's not simply a choice between the two. Who exactly carves up the City into Wards and what's the criteria?
  3. I echo the comments made by Bobby47. Voting for Glenda Vaughan Powell is a no brainer! If you want a quick response to a problem, someone who will lock horns with the opposition and who is not afraid to say it how it is, then yes Cllr Vaughan Powell is the person you vote for. Cllr Edwards by comparison is not the person you want leading you into battle, no ones gonna take him seriously in that dress when he rides into the town hall on his precious bike waving his crash helmet shouting 'on no he didn't'! Good luck Cllr Vaughan Powell!
  4. Denise you can't do that! Lol Go to the FB page and copy the link and paste it on the thead.... You know how we love to hear about Tony!
  5. Shame about Cllr Hubbard, he's a good guy!
  6. My top ten for the chop are as follows 1st Place Tony Johnson Joint 2nd Place Roger Phillips, Patricia Morgan 3rd Place Harry Braemar 4th Place Cllr Sebastian Bowen 5th Place Barry Durkin 5th Place Phillip Cutter 6th Place Richard Mayo 7th Place Jenny Hyde 8th Paul Rone 9th Phil Edwards 10th Brian Wilcox With the exception of Cllr Sebastian Bowen there's a pattern here and it wasn't my intention to choose Conservative has beens!
  7. Shame on Tony Johnson! He obviously left the bloody door open when he was told about this! Dippy Tony doesn't need a link to the thread do you Tony?
  8. I echo the comments above, I didn't click until I got to Bobbys name! Absolutely brilliant best laugh of the day!
  9. It would be a total waste of time and effort to take this problem to the Leader of Herefordshire Council he doesn't need to know about staff issues. Good luck finding Alistair Neill, I'm not sure he's real! Unison have a proven track record of jumping into bed with the employer and if you can get passed Jesse Normans vetting system to speak with him you've achieved the impossible! In answer to one of your questions, it is always of public interest what senior officers of Herefordshire Council are doing for those huge salaries we pay them! I personally would rather they weren't threatening members of staff!
  10. I detest reputation management! An investigation is required and if the claims are substantiated then the people responsible should be dismissed perhaps even face prosecution. What will be happening now is 'reputation management' which will get in the way of an unbiased investigation. People should be held to account for their actions regardless of the reputation of any organisation, a totally transparent investigation will serve to enhance reputation and show the public that no organisation is above the law and can only restore the publics confidence in the Police force. The following is an interesting read. Theresa May introduces new restrictions on stop and search powers http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/11054788/Theresa-May-introduces-new-restrictions-on-stop-and-search-powers.html
  11. Really good Paul, well done. Particularly liked references to a national organisation for the protection, help and advice for whistleblowers. This is long over due! Bit disappointed that a few more names weren't thrown into the discussion 'named and shamed' Maybe next time!
  12. 25! Bobby you've still got it! Lol I think someone's popped the link on Twitter!
  13. Bobby, hilarious haven't laughed like that in ages!
  14. Brilliant idea! Or even a water tram/ ferry up and down the river would be nice. I wouldn't want anything really modern though I hate futuristic, contemporary modern gizmos!
  15. At the risk of incurring everyone's wrath I feel compelled to say something. I await the inevitable ... It's wrong to assume that people who aren't members can't read the threads they can. We are trying to attract people to the voice and as far as I was concerned we wanted people to feel free to have their say without fear of reprisals, whoever that person may be. People did not have to comment on the thread it was easy to ignore it. An outsider reading that thread would in my opinion think very careful before they posted for fear of being attacked. What we had was someone who appears to be known to people who have personal opinions based on their interactions or knowledge, which others aren't privy too. It got personal.. People like myself do not know the member in question and can only respond to the thread based on what we see posted, which others will quite rightly do. I am sorry but surely people can see how those posts would be perceived? It went off topic. Which is what I assume Colin was talking about and I hope the complaints he received were along those lines. I am glad the post was removed because I wouldn't want to discourage new members. However I do hope people will think about the comments in the thread and reframe from personal attacks in the future, it was akin to a gang mentality in my personal opinion. The poster has a right to his or her say whether people agree with it or not and they should feel free to do so. I think it would have been fairer to remove the comments as opposed to the topic, (sorry I am entitled to my opinion). Removal of the thread appears to sanction the behaviour, which in hindsight I'm hoping people can see was wrong. As far as WirralPC commenting on the 'bullying thread' I would hope that people would reframe from accusations of him 'banging on about it'. The bullying and harassment of disabled employees needs to be 'banged on about' lest we forget? For those not privy to the full story that incident left people involved completely traumatised and unable to move on. Whilst Geoff Hughes is 'banging on about protecting staff' from abuse I have to say that only applies when it suits the Councils agenda. Lessons were not learned by the Council in the wake of that investigation and to date bullying continues at Herefordshire Council. So I for one will bang on about it until it stops! I hope WirralPC continues to do the same. Best wishes to all..
  16. I certainly wouldn't waste a monthly subscription on Unison, your money's just lining the pockets of more inept Senior managers with different titles who lose sight of the ethos of Unions as soon as their packets and pensions increase.
  17. How awful, imagine going into work every day knowing managers hold a threat like that over you, it would certainly fuel paranoia and the stress would be horrendous! Well done Herefordshire Council you have surpassed our expectations! Taxpayers will be pleased Senior Managers are using their positions to threaten people, are they on a bonus? How dysfunctional does this organisation actually have to be before something is done? If the tape clearly says ' I will insist the threat against you is withdrawn' then the rep was clearly issued a threat. The Council should do everything in its power to find out if the Senior Manager did threatened the Rep, from the sounds of it the rep had no reason not to believe what they were told.
  18. First off I think the add is great! Dippy well done! But... Can I ask? What is the objective, is it about attracting people to the Voice or about voting and politics? Who is the target audience, who are we trying to attract, the voter? Are we in danger of minimising the target audience? The site does come across as anti Conservative. There's a knowledge pool and people with experiences on the Voice that is often used to provide a lot of information and advice to people on other issues, that are important to people, other than Council issues. Plus there's the all important Social interactions. Will people see the add and stop and read it? Just an observation..
  19. It's a shame I do think he is one of the good guys and I expect his head has taken a battering constantly banging it against the wall!
  20. The waste sites in Hereford are owned by Worcester Council not Hereford. Permits are no longer supplied by Herefordshire Council if you want a permit to go to the Herefordshire sites you need to contact Worcester. Worcester Council used to allow Herefordshire Council to give out permits but I think that stopped towards the end of last year.
  21. Glad to see works to the bushes in Glastonbury Close will finally get sorted. I am confused why BB are removing Flytipping? Since it's not part of the BB contract and Flytipping is usually undertaken by EHTS?
  22. Dippy the list below is current. It doesn't matter about signage, if it isn't classed as a domestic vehicle then you need a permit. If you're a business you won't get a permit.
