  1. Dippy you need a waste permit to take a van to the tip. If it transpires that ditch is part of someones property I.e a farmer then BB won't remove it, it becomes the responsibility of the farmer or owner of the ditch. Ubique who maintains the hedgerow?
  2. flamboyant

    Hoople

Fantastic just what we need another arms length company!
  3. I managed to hold my composure until I got to "The Most Improved Council category is one of the most prestigious awards in local government." Then I fell off the sofa! Not sure whether it was hysteria or some kind of fit, I'm going to make an appointment with the Doctors just to check.
  4. I think AV has a point but only on the issue of litter. Fly tipping is completely different I am entirely sure that people don't need educating on dumping a settee in a ditch, not sure any court in the land would believe the person responsible, didn't know it was wrong? As far as litter goes people are driven by a sense of pride, if they have no pride in their surroundings they will abuse it. It's much harder to throw an empty can on freshly mowed lawn edged by flowers.
  5. Sorry Ubique I was being sarcastic. The Council will send you around in circles! Trust me when I say front line staff are just as frustrated as you. What absolutely no one considers is the fact that all this going around in circles is costing money! The Council talk about Lean processes and I've heard Councillors spout crap about how efficient Lean systems are. No you idiots it's another fad! The ultimate question being. Who is the Captain on this ship? Because it's sinking fast! The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. If someone doesn't take charge and start holding Senior Managers to account the ship will sink and when it does I hope to god those heads will role! The only thing that will save Hereford is the Government stepping in and taking over before it is too late!
  6. I have a weekly update for you Dippy. Balfour Beatty are not responsible for Flytipping!
  7. Ubique, before lighting a bonfire please, contact the EHTS dept where you can speak to them directly, their phone number is 01432 261761 or their e-mail is Ethelpline ethelpline@herefordshire.gov.uk. Thank you for contacting Herefordshire Council, we will do our best to reply within ten days. If you have any complaints about our services please ring customers services and they will send you the appropriate complaints form. Please be patient the lines are very busy but our staff will be delighted to help if and when you get through. Kind regards Herefordshire Council
  8. Ubigue, please read the following information before undertaking any works. Further information and advice can be obtained via the following link. https://www.herefordshire.gov.uk/media/5250329/hsa015_final_risk_assessment_arrangements_201209_nrc.doc
  9. Ubique there is now only one person responsible for all the calls going into the Council for EHTS and that person also deals with all the emails. Previously the calls were taken by customer services but the calls were transferred back to the department under the guise that it was more efficient! Bang goes your audit process, the EHTS department are not going to put their hands up and say we are inefficient. When the calls were handled by Customer Services they could highlight underperformance in particular departments. Another really good decision by Cabinet! Balfour Beatty will fair no better but the only way anyone will know is when it goes in the public domain.
  10. Cravendale three is my favourite
  11. Dippy you have a flair for this!
  12. How many more times do we need to read about Cabinet making decisions without being in full possession of ALL the facts ?
  13. It was in the interest of the Council to prove it was 'not' disability discrimination because the ramifications are huge! Bill Norman and the like will abandon any sense of human decency to protect their own positions and livelihood. They justify it by convincing themselves they are right in what they are saying, I wonder if he ever had a sleepless night? It is action like this that has a profound effect on the people targeted. I have heard of instances were people have attempted suicide because of similar treatment when reporting the wrongs perpetrated by our Public Sectors. Martin Moreton as you say, has had his life turned upside down and the stress he has suffered must be unsurmountable. I would hope that people like Bill Norman question the morality of their actions daily and think very carefully before they subject anyone else to similar treatment. Somehow I seriously doubt it!
  14. The legal test as I understand it would be. Were these people treated less favourable because of their disability than a person not suffering from a disability? If only disabled people's bank accounts were plundered then there is a clear link between their disability and the plundering of their accounts. A person without a disability and capable of managing their own financial affairs was not targeted because they would have noticed irregularities in the money taken from their accounts. Therefore the discrimination aspect is clear 'they were subject to discrimination because of their disability'.
  15. Really? I certainly find the majority a Joke! Sorry but I find it better than sobbing uncontrollably
  16. Shame on you Dippy hand over the picture you had me find for the Cravendale three to Greenknight and stop being so obstructive. Lol

  18. Ring the Parish Council, who will ring the localities officer who will ring the lengthsmen the localities officer will ring the Parish Councillor back who will ring you and tell you! For heavens sake people get with the program! It's simples!
  19. Hey how about an advert that reads like a job description, we are after all recruiting members. Person spec Looking for people with strong moral codes Have the interests of their county and community People with ideas Work environment A place were people are encouraged to share their views and opinions and make a valuable contribution Remuneration Shaping the future of Hereford Blah blah ..... Just a thought. How many words do you have.
  20. Excellent looks great, one of the things I feel we need to get across is that people can speak freely and we are listening even if no one else is? Supportive of your views, all the things the Voice is!
  21. Who negotiated the Contract that has resulted in this ambiguity about who owes who? Whose head will role or more importantly how much money are we prepared to pay to protect them?
  22. The Chief Executive has out in an appearance but only to 'GAGG' Councillors form criticising! When will Public Authorities stop using bully boy tactics to avoid transparency? http://www.herefordtimes.com/news/11827471.Council_chief_executive_warns_opposition_group_leaders_against_speaking_out_over_the___40m_contract_dispute_with_Amey/
  23. What are - Carried out 17 NRSWA (street works) inspections. Maybe this refers to inspection of the trees?
  24. Megilleland, excellent explaination thank you! I was talking about Council Officers. For example, The reporting code States Any serious concerns that employees have about any aspect of service provision or the conduct of Officers or Members of the Council or others acting on behalf of the Council can be reported under this Policy. This may be about something that: a makes Officers feel uncomfortable in terms of known standards, their experience or the standards they believe the Council subscribe to; or b is against the Council’s Constitution and policies; or c falls below established standards of practice; or d amounts to improper conduct If the Council ignore or refuse to investigate a complaint under the WB policy are they in breach of the Constitution?
