  1. I live near the Bobblestock circular bus route. Which uses Venns Lane. There are never more than 3 or 4 people on the bus and all of those are invariably pensioners. I don't think I've ever seen a young person on that bus.

  2. Anyway the sector I feel most sorry for are the older ladies and gents(Senior Citizens) from the Aylestone Hill and there are plenty their route to Morrisons will be the same but their route home will be totally different and a bit complicated.

The route, using a car, to go back to the Aylestone area from Morrison's will be the same as it has been for the last few months. Leave via the side exit opposite the sorting office and turn right. It will get more tiresome though as there will be another traffic light to go through. And the traffic flow coming towards Morrison's from Widemarsh Street is an unknown quantity at the moment as there is none currently.

It would if they starting handing out decent fines of £100+ each time. Police are quite happy to pull over a motorist to hand out a £100 speeding fine for someone driving at 33mph in a 30mph I know this because it happened to my mate not that long ago.

Ultra low level stuff, have a look at the videos Roger that I filmed only this afternoon, some of these idiots are pulling out in front of other vehicles after jumping a red light, all low level until one of these vehicles knocks over and kills or serious injures the cyclist and then guess who they will try to blame. This is potentially life changing stuff in reality.

The reality is that the enforcement of a particular problem is now just reactive at a local level. Other than random speed stuff with cars.

  4. All of this in a space of just 20-30 minutes is unbelievable, interesting to see as there is no real argument here, the camera does not lie.

The offending is obvious. But this is ultra low level stuff. Enforcement of that is not practical. Throwing money at solving it will not attract a financial return.

  5. The work connected with the four way junction at KFC/Morrison's'/Lidl is a work in progress. As are all the entry/egress routes from Morrison's. I get the general impression that when that end of the 'road to nowhere' goes live then there may well be problems. Yet to surface properly. I live on Aylestone Hill so use that area daily by car.

  6. 'Charlotte Walker, of Kenwater Close, Leominster, pleaded guilty to one count of racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress in words or writing at Hereford Magistrates Court.' ~ quote from HT.

The defendant admitted that she intended to cause intentional harassment/alarm/distress with her FB post. The guilty plea pulls the rug from under the people moaning about free speech.

  7. I think Republicanism comments' are free speech. The HT item never got out of hand before it got closed down. They have a history at the HT of closing articles down if they anticipate the wheel will fall off. I can understand it with local cases but William is a future Monarch.

  8. Pirated minutes of a recent Freedom Church management committee meeting:-

ITEM 17  Problem of unauthorised overnight sleepers in the entrance porch of FC's Commercial Road premises. The three options for the committee to consider are:- 1) call the police; 2) offer the sleepers Christian sanctuary and a hearty breakfast; 3) erect a security roller shutter (estimated cost: £850). Option 3 was passed unanimously.

When the Council moved into Franklin House the first thing they did was to install a roller shutter at the main, recessed, entrance doorway. It was a magnet for vomiters' and p!ssers' before they did that. Both these shutters' are logical decisions.

  9. I was speaking to a Herefordshire Highways Inspector in the pub last Sunday. This City project is not in his personal geographic area but he thought the physical end result would end in tears. He said there were new traffic lights planned at the bottom of Aylestone Hill that he thought would just shift the traffic problem about. :-p

  10. So if anyone has any representations for or against the application and based on the licensing objectives they can submit them direct to the licensing authority

That is the Corporate spiel being generated. The shortcut is to post the stuff on here ~ which the people you mention will feel obliged to read anyway out of curiosity. If they can't be bothered then it's their loss.

  11. From HT

    Reward is £100

Bit of a joke reward really. But the damage was minimal. It wasn't like it was Beirut.

Cops have closed the moan down No lines of inquiry apparently! Other than the tagging style. Why don't they just say that hey have no time or staff to look into this low level stuff? Cop precept charge has just gone up by the way!

  12. I was waiting for something like this to happen. Didn't have to wait long.

    I concur .... Totally predictable ....

I see the difference between the north / south divide has reared its head again!

You seem to be on a different planet Glenda. I agreed with you (an expert on Southside matters as you live there) about likely damage and you go off on a tangent about North/South ..... You can't have your cake and eat it to but you seem to want to!

  13. Kabus, Biedronka and Zabka are all owned by the same people, (Kurds) with the added convenient new business partner at Kubus.

We are back to where we were before. Ms. Gizak is probably clean as a whistle on UK records. As was Mr. Sahl until his recent run in.

What will happen if a connection between the new applicant and the old Zabka regime is presented at the hearing? It was tried last time and was rejected ~ presumably as Mr. Sahl had no record.

The booze licence must lead to a projected decent revenue return as it would't attract an application otherwise. The returns on dodgy tobacco must be higher tho as why risk the booze licence?

It's probably just a risk/return juggling act with all these shops.
