The EU is just like a mafia organisation…they say jump & members ask how high as well as paying protection money into it!

62 people own half the wealth of the World. Half of the World is 3.6 billion people. ( source: Oxfam) The British Virgin Islands are our territory and they house more stuff than Panama with regards to 'offshore banking'. No one here (in Power) is really interested in looking into this murky world where tax is avoided that could be collected. When Cameron's dad was benefiting from the wheeze you can see why!

There is a recent precedent with a vote over EU policy. Greece had a referendum vote to decide yes or no to another EU €€€€€€€ bailout. The people voted no to the bailout (61.31% No - Yes 38..69%). Naturally the people were ignored and the bailout was accepted. The Greek Finance Minister resigned. Pictured below with his wife (as a pillion passenger) leaving his Greek finance ministry .... 

EU vote is on the Thursday. Corbyn is speaking at the weekend after the result is known .... He is a supporter of staying in.

Also the GWW is part of BBLP contract so they should be keeping the GWW clean and tidy as a part of their job. We the people are paying twice over in our council tax and precept money for what BBLP should be doing. and getting paid for doing it.

I think BBLP get paid to shift the detritis on the GWW but obviously won't go the estra mile if mugs' do it for them. For free!

But good job by the people and police.

I never saw any pics of any 'Police' litter picking. Just posing for the predicable and trendy photos. I applaud the efforts of the other people who got 'stuck in' .... but I think they're just giving some other organisation an excuse to avoid doing what they are already paid to do ....  

Number of EU migrants working in UK to be revealed weeks before referendum

The number of EU migrants working in the UK will finally be revealed just weeks before the referendum on Britain’s EU membership – in a move that could prove immigration has been seriously underestimated by official statistics.

HM Revenue and Customs will provide figures on how many national insurance numbers are actively being used by people from the European Economic Area after MPs mounted a battle to gain access to the statistics.

The alternative solutions to the litter chaos on the GWW seem to be proper and regular enforcement, proper and regular litter collection by a Contractor, or do nothing. Or a 4th option which is really cheap. Get a bunch of people together to do the litter picking for free ~ who've got various agenda's which normally involve a Publicity photo shoot to generate a positive vibe for them/organisation or indeed website. A really good result would be for the 4th option to happen and for everyone involved decide to do it again annually as it gives the people involved a warm feeling inside and more photos and more perceived feel good media. And it still happens for free. 

Roger if I didn't know you any better I'd say you where shy?! But given you used to work for the constabulary I don't think so…so I expect your be there in cognate wearing a wide brim hat, false beard, moustache & glasses quietly taking notes?!

April 1 aside Jesse arrived (by parachute?) in a winnable seat with him being part of the Tory Machine ... He's got over 50% of the vote around here and won't lose next time unless something really strange happens to him or the economy. He can put his slippers on and focus on his own self advancement. Obviously being on the winning side of the EU vote would help.

Not going to attend Roger? Well I'm a little disappointed I know your voting leave but does it not intrigue you to go along & see wot the slippery sods up to?

I'm not that intrigued that I'll attend Jesse's meetings'. It will all come out in the wash with Jesse. My reasons for voting out are easily worked out by reading my posts'. 

I guess there is only one way to find out what he's up to & that's to attend it may give you a insight into which way he's leaning towards yes or no?

He will already know. He's just not saying. The first question at the first meeting should be 'What way are you voting?' I won't need to attend as I'm 100% going to vote to leave .... 

 

Hereford MP to chair EU referendum discussion meetings

 

Is he going to be covering both the In and Out sides? If he is not sure how he is going to vote will it be on a show of hands? His last meeting is on May 27th - one month before the vote. Left it a bit late for a reasoned discussion. Can't see many people attending looking at the timings of the meetings. It looks as if it will be a gathering of the party faithful getting their final orders to back Dave.

 

This just appears slippery to me .... He wants to be on the 'winning' side (in my opinion) and is being less than transparent with his fence sitting.

When Barrie Sheldon was appointed in crony type circumstances (which he is obviously complicit in as he didn't have to accept the role in the dodgy circumstances) it caused uproar in Worcester. Three Worcestershire MP's opposed it. As did his own crime panel.. As did numerous Councillors. As did the Worcester News Bill Longmore and Barrie Sheldon just dug their heels in prompting a 'no confidence' vote in Bill Longmore from Worcestershire County Council which he survived.

I too received my polling card. Who are the candidates? Nobody has bothered to tell me so I shall not bother to vote.

It's been low key stuff about this upcoming election but the main Political Parties are represented. Including UKIP. The probable winner, John Campion (Tory), has been most active. He moans that Bill Longmore has wasted millions on 'Agency' type temporary staff in the backroom. NHCA link

Locally those temporary agency staff will be on something like the Christian Bagley murder enquiry. I disagree that employing temporary staff is a total waste of money but if the workforce hadn't shrunk then people from a larger permanent base could be shifted around as and when something big happened somewhere in one of the three Counties.

I'm not sure how much the 'service providers' pay their staff but that sector is notoriously low paid and many people might be on the minimum wage of £6.70 an hour. Which, of course, went up today to become a 'living wage' of £7.20. A 7.5% wage increase. I doubt a service provider would want to absorb that cost if they can pass it on to someone using their services ....

I can confirm that Phil Edwards did actually take part in the litterpick on the GWW ( see this weeks HT page 99) he was joined by his newton farmers and country park members together with three police officers

Police Officers (I assume you mean CSO's ) are not employed to litter pick. Have they solved every other crime on the books before collecting trash ? 

Ron Smith & Co has just opened 5 mins. walk from me. All the stuff in their window is just one step away from being a car. Crazy! 

 I have always found him very competent in what he was doing, and I always speak as I find!

Why didn't he stand last time ? 

Roger, it isn't the case of "jobs for mates" when Barrie came to a meeting when Bill Longmore was elected  we all found him very compident, infact we thought he was the candidate not Bill. having seen him work I will be voting for Barrie, and hope he gets in!.

He might well be competent. The nature of his arrival was controversial. Unelected and probably ended up running the show. But I consider how it panned out did not look good at any stage.

It was a warped carburettor. Fixed perfectly. Still going! It was a cheap mower and when a new, similar, one is £150 and to fix an old one with service ends up as £90 odd quid you can see why people just sling them!  

Election for this role is on 5th May 2016.... I have zero interest in the process. That said Barrie Sheldon is standing as an independent candidate on the back of sliding in as Bill's unelected deputy last time. 

I've had my polling card through the letterbox yesterday and will unfortunately have to drag myself down to the polling booth to vote to keep him out. Based on the sleazy 'jobs for mates' stuff surrounding his current appointment. 

I hope some of O. H. Mowers disappointed customers are still on here and get this message as I am the girl who works in the office. I know we messed up (I am in no way disputing it was inadequate service) but I do hope to try and explain and apologise!

The cemetery opening times are 0900 - 1700 Nov. to March. 0900 - 2000 April to Oct.

I would guess that the damage/theft there happens after closing time so it's really in the Council's lap. Any pro-active deterrent from the cops is only ever going to be an infrequent  drive by. Or cycle by. Or, more unlikely, a walk by. They ain't going to be wandering around inside after closing time. 

CCTV in there is a potential divisive issue but the fact that cameras might be in there might well deter any new incidents ~ if the info filters down to the low life involved in the Jewish hate crime and the more recent children section thefts ....

It has the high profile stuff in the news like the plastic bag charge (Paper clip politics in my book.) And free prescriptions. But what real power has it really got? 

Will it be bailing out TATA steel tomorrow ? They make a lot of noise but if the wheel comes off the pressure seems to arrive in Westminster. 

All wheels within wheels I guess!
