It would be based on engineering, aimed to be established by September 2018 with 60 students rising to 300 in Sept 2019, 650 in 2020 and 1000 in Sept 2021. A significant part of the funding is in place and the aim is that the University will be self financing within 5 years. There will be accommodation,teaching and research blocks across the city. The Council's role is to facilitate open communication regarding the planning processes, transport,property,economy,city planning, ensuring the city is as fit as possible to support a University.
