  1. This was probably all part of a cunning plan, Cloudberry......!
  2. She is deputy leader. She gives me nightmares...... She should have resigned, after the appalling state children safeguarding services were judged to be in, on "her watch." In October 2012,OFSTED found them to be Inadequate, in every area.... yet she still thought she should stay. Now deputy leader. Nothing like rewarding failure, is there??
  3. In YOUR opinion Roger! (Which of course you are entitled to!) I also voted Green. They are not a "waste of time." In my opinion!
  4. Sounds like a plan! Perhaps we should synchronize watches, and all put a complaint in at the same time???
  5. The question is.... should folks be alarmed at this testimony ? 1. Did they research Freedom Church over the internet? Or were they recruited over the internet? 2. They then move to a foreign country. ( To attend the FC training camp / centre / International HQ?) 3. They are then sent out in small groups to other countries, to do the same. 4. Oh. And they want your money. Quite a..... radical approach, some may say. If I were the parent of one of those two, the answer to my question would be yes. I'd be very alarmed indeed.
  6. Dear Santa, I've been very good this year. Please may I have a selection box, some new socks and to see the back of this God awful conservative council cabinet, and Tory government ? Thank you. Love Dippy.
  7. I would never vote Tory. As stated at the time... Green - Nationals. IOC - Local. Independent - Parish. I hold the conservative party in utter contempt, for what they have done, and are continuing to do, to the most vulnerable in society.
  8. Don't worry! Sorted! November 2013, the date this list was compiled.....!
  9. I've clicked the link you kindly provided..... fifteen pages in total! But scrolling down, I can't get past the first page! Any clue what I'm doing wrong???
  10. Cheers Denise! I'll take a look!
  11. Very interesting, Megilleland. Do we know if we still own a golf course???? I've never heard of this before!
  12. Given that in the latest HT report on this, it states that money raised from the sale of the farms will be spent on "Key infrastructure projects", I'm guessing they have already decided where to allocate the ill gotten gains, should this go through. And it won't be Ledbury Road.
  13. What percentage of "the public" even completed the recent consultation? Difficult to argue the point that this badly worded, and at points misleading, paper shuffling exercise, is representative of the majority of residents, when so few bothered to fill it in! I'm not at all sure that based on the results of this, the council have a mandate for selling them off, particularly when Overview and Scrutiny have advised against a complete disposal of the small holdings. I for one, do not support the sale of these farms. If it goes ahead, I want to know without a shadow of doubt, WHERE this money is being allocated. I honestly feel that at the heart of this issue, is the fact that two of the farms are situated in the path of the proposed SLR. (And given the complete disregard the cabinet have for The Overview and Scrutiny Committee's recommendations, I don't hold out much hope of them listening to the Task and Finish report recommendations!)
  14. Hello Pete! I'm a very patient individual..... and can be annoyingly persistent. Some say I'm like a dog with a bone.....!
  15. Cllr Graham Powell - cabinet member - has been posting on The Fastershire thread on HT. In response to the question I posed, asking him to explain the rationale behind cabinets decision to sell off all of the farms, he replied... "I feel it best to simply remind everyone, that we have made a commitment to develop a disposal plan, and to treat that process and the tenants with our duty of care in mind." I've asked him a few more direct questions relating to this.... still awaiting a further response!
  16. Also might be worth popping a link up to the three current news stories on HT whilst they're still on the page. There's some interesting stuff on there.... Liz Harvey's comments being one of them. (I do like her!) Also, a brilliant letter from Jean, on the letters page. Re declaring an interest. Apologies.... but I've never been able to do the handy link thing!
  17. Only briefly, to tell you to keep your chin up! Sterling work, on a very important issue. A "Well Done" sticker for you, my friend!
  18. You're not talking to yourself, Denise! I'm glad you've been following the very interesting discussions regarding this issue over at HT. I too thought Cllr Liz Harveys comment was extremely interesting. I see many over laps between the selling off of all small holdings, and the proposed SLR route. The two seem to be entwined. Check your messages! Take care. (And Cllr Chappell, if you're unsure of what the money from any sale would go towards - or not, as may be the case - I think now would be a good time to start seeking clarification. People are being given.... how shall I put this....mis information.)
  19. Well, you have a supporter in me, for what it's worth.... which probably isn't much! You have great tenacity, and a determination to see that decisions made, are for the good of the community as a whole. Not just to suit the few, who have had things their own way for far too long. It's so difficult when you're up against the mentality of "This is how things have always been done. And we don't take kindly to it being questioned." But question it you must. As I said on HT before comments were deleted, if it looks dodgy, feels dodgy and smells dodgy...... chances are it probably is! (And while you're here, could I just take the opportunity of thanking you, for your wonderful work within Ledbury, at raising money and supplies for the refugees. You're a good man.) (Thanks for the "Yahoo! " Denise..... just a fleeting visit to HV, but this story was definitely worthy of a comment!)
  20. I've already read it, Rich. Quite astounding what goings on there are, in a quiet little place like Ledbury! Keep going. Folks are taking notice.
  21. Thanks Denise..... I'm absolutely tickety-boo! Harmony is indeed a great thing, Rebecca! You'll get no argument from me on that point! Take care both.
  22. Thank you. One thing I did forget to do, was to respond to observations made in post 56. There have been many, many references to other forums/social media sites on Hereford Voice - Bulls Banter and Hereford Times both spring to mind. Some comments have been positive, others negative. These have been made by a wide range of posters, myself included. Are we no longer allowed to refer to these in our views, whilst posting on here?? For the record, my positive comments about HV have far outweighed any criticism. However in this case, this is what happened..... 1. I do not lie! 2. I had not acknowledged/accepted any warning given via this forum. 3. Because of this, I was blocked from commenting on threads. 4. Colin, as a gesture of goodwill, has removed the warning that I was issued. To be fair to others, he has also removed theirs. 5. Even when the warning had been officially removed, I was still blocked from responding because of gremlins in the system! In my opinion, the most important forum rule, is that members are responsible for the content they post. I wholeheartedly endorse this view. As I've said, I stand by every comment I have ever made. My only regret? I should not have said I will never contribute again. That was hasty, and "never" is an incredibly long time! So I reserve the right to pop up now and again..... but for now, a dignified silence is perhaps the best way forward! My fondest regards to all who tap.
  23. An interesting few days! I must say, I was intrigued when this thread first made an appearance. Intrigued, but not in the slightest bit concerned, as my conscience is clear.(So I slept incredibly well!) However, as events unfolded, and my posting name was thrown into the mix....I was baffled as to what on earth could have caused this. I have never even been able to post a handy link.... let alone have the technical know how to create multiple accounts! As I said to Colin, in one of several emails at this point in proceedings, the integrity of my online persona is extremely important to me, because it accurately reflects and represents me. Love me or loathe me, this is who I am. I was more than happy for Colin to access any area of my account he liked....I had nothing to hide! Just to clarify, Dippy is the only posting name I have ever used - here or HT - and I 100% stand by every word I have ever tapped upon this keyboard! Finally, but most importantly, I'd like to thank Grid Knocker, Two Wheels and especially my dear friend Bobby. Your kind words in my defence were appreciated more than you will ever know. I'm so glad you had such faith in your blogging buddy, and knew that the honest character you know as Dippy, would never deceive in this fashion. Drinks at The Commercial are most definitely on me, next meet up.
  24. Well there's certainly a raft of folks with bigoted opinions and narrow minds around. In fact there appears to be no shortage of that on this very forum. I no longer wish to be associated with it.
