Safety concerns? Why now all of a sudden a little convenient that don't you think?
-
Should go back to the council and their own staff like it used to be.

Signed and shared out, bloody place looks a dump

Well done to Cllr. Kenyon and all of his hard work.
Touching on this Radar Key business, not entirely sure I agree with Roger's post, however, what does annoy me is WHY is it FREE for Disabled people? Do they need to use the toilet more than me then?

Thank you Glenda. If Grid Knocker is right, and I have no reason to suggest he is not, there can be no case whatever for proceeding with this project now, or ever. If the Tories insist on it there should be some kind of obligation for the individuals who vote it through to pick up the bill themselves when it goes **** up, or at least a substantial fine. They have been told it's a bust by their own advisors so to run with it would be nothing short of irresponsible. Oh how I despise them, the arrogant fools that they are, but don't tell Nick "Nice" Nenadich I was horrid about them, he might burst into tears and storm out to find his teddy bear. According to the best web site ever, Herefordshire Council's, he's the Vice Chairman of Halo Services. Is that a service for polishing his I wonder?
ha ha teddy bear quote is a classic Simon, nearly choked on my tea

Bio - Its possible you havnt seen many fights in the streets because of the restrictions?
Look at other towns where these restrictions are not there.
Worcester? Its like fight club around that time of night.
Broad Street Birmingham - again, brawls all the way along the street.
Cardiff - much the same - and again with a seagull problem - which effects day time trade and im constantly wiping seagull poop from the wifes car!
Sweansea - oh and a BIG McDonalds there that has queues out the door.
And around 2 months ago there was a TV show about Colchester and bouncers - did you see how the bouncers of pubs and clubs just let the fights occur and not get involved in the late night food houses? Again, I understand it with bouncer insurance etc, but if it was YOUR child getting a shoeing in a kebab shop, wouldnt you want the door staff of the pub/club next door to go and "save him/her"?
But again, these are all much bigger cities with THOUSANDS more people out and about.
With regards to the 1.30 - its how OUR council have interpreted the LAW.
Do I agree with it? - well, partly yes, partly no - I have a fence post up my backside - BUT i do UNDERSTAND it and the logic behind it.
and on top of all of this, I dont want money leaving town for the big nasty American chain, and would prefer local business keep and spend the money in our lovely little town, preferably High Town!
Sorry I do not agree at all. You have selected the larger cities here as your examples, Cardiff, Birmingham, Swansea and Worcester, nevertheless, you will always have a certain amount of trouble, this is usually fuelled by booze NOT FOOD! So if it's okay in these cities then why not in Hereford? There are a lot less people here.
In general the police are called out more often at the weekends but this can also be to residential area's too, people are not working, so they do argue more etc etc.
Tesco's in open 24 hours, a friend of mine works in Tesco in the city centre and there is hardly any trouble during the early hours including the weekend.
I can go and buy a hot Ginsters from the 24 hour garage, that's okay too, but apparently I cannot sit down in an Indian restaurant at 2am? I cannot grab a Chinese take away on my way home from the nightclub either.. it's ridiculous, we live in a democracy, I should be able to choose if I want to eat at 2am not be told that I cannot!
I am not at all surprised that a lot of people avoid Hereford at the weekends, the council should be encouraging local people to stay local and spend their money locally and promote local eating houses who rely on this weekend trade.

It's not about individual companies it's about CHOICE! Something we are lacking in within this village in which we live!
Exactly 100%

We have hit over 100 individual signatures tonight which is brilliant. Please share the petition on social media and with your friends.
Result.

Which flats in particular do you know? I had a look when I was out an hour ago but could not see which was damaged.

It's due this week, but I have this weeks recycling to go in as well, so when they empt it it's going to be fully again.
I sure as hell won't be going to the tip with it, or do we have to pay them now for the privelage of getting rid of our own waste?!
To be honest, it's been full to the brim so long I thought they missed it (AGAIN) and was about to put in a pickup request.
When our wheelie bin was full and we had excess waste, we just put it out in a separate bag and spoke with them on the day and they took it all.

Debenhams are a large enough organisation to realise the implications of opening a new store .... Especially on a BH. I've got very little sympathy for them from a customer point of view Paul ~ this sounds like a half baked preparation exercise to me ... Customers will always vote with their feet (or moan on the web) ... I obviously would not condone abuse of staff tho.
I agree with you Roger. If Debenhams were offering a discount for the first month fair enough but when your paying full price you expect full service to go with it.
I was reading thru the various posts about the OLM and the fact that there are no cash machines, I had the same issue, where are the cash machines, are there any on this new site? Very strange that.

I notice that they have closed Next too of the Spur Retail Park, I thought they were keeping that store open. Don't understand this really because the new store is a lot smaller in comparison. Next must have money to throw away! They only completely refurbished and kitted out this store last year, unbelievable.

The Council do not run or get the income from the car parking at the Old Market
I think you need to do a bit more homework, the council do receive a proportion of revenue from some of the parking at the Old Market. I was informed of this today, unofficially.

Alex is one of my favourite posters but on this occasion I'd urge you all to ignore him. No good will come of it if you follow his advice. Im all for not paying for something if Im given half a chance but this advice is a step to far.
You must pay those lovely four cans of Carlsberg ale. And they are lovely. You'd be an odd sort if you thought otherwise but Alex's advice to not pay for them is simply wrong.
By all means ask at the till if you can just take them and not hand over money. That's reasonable but simply to enter the shop, pick up the lovely four cans and walk out thinking they are yours and you are not required to pay is entirely wrong and I'll be damned if I get myself associated with this idea that you don't pay for four cans of Carlsberg lager.
And I'll tell you another thing, if any of you lot confide in me that you are taking cans of lager from this shop and you ain't paying, then Im rolling over on you. I will bring you down, you'll be hauled off by the Constable who'll be within his rights to taser you, beat you with a baton and spray you with CS gas.
That its come to this!
Bobby, I was referring to the so called parking tickets I know a lot about speculative invoices even moneysupermarket give sound advice so please read their article HERE which has also been linked too above. You may also want to have a little read about Private Eye Here or Here or there is another company called Parking Eye Here same bollocks though! My advice would be NOT to pay anything at least until you have read all the links I have provided then make up your own minds. 3 times over the past 5 years I have had invoices slapped on to my car and each time I have totally ignored them. But I would pay for the beers lol
On a separate note, I never did understand how DVLA offer your private information out to anyone who sets up this type of company, data protection is non existent here then.
You can park for 30min in Morrisons without the need to buy a car parking ticket as I do this all the time.…but if parking eye, who are in my opinion a bunch of ******* *******'s? Should ever dare to send me an £85 charge then i will deffo be using it to light the barbie while telling them over the phone to kiss my arse that's for sure!!!!

I saw some make shift chip board signs on the roundabout over the past few days promoting some open day? Anyone go or know much about this event?

Do NOT pay anything!! Read this topic

Saw this contribution to the Hereford Times Facebook page today which is self explanatory ...
Yes, I spoke with a friend of mine who said he could not pay to park in the new centre with his card and was advised by security to go across he road to the nearest cashpoint. So are there no ATM's in the new shopping centre then?

To be honest I have been waiting for someone to know it down, I almost hit it myself, it's quite low down and not that easy to see when your driving.

Congratulations HUFC, on a memorable win for the club.

South Wye Transport Package - Update

The traffic coming into Hereford especially from the south is an utter nightmare, I am in favour of a light out trial, the traffic moves at a much better pace when they are out of order. We need another river crossing there will always be someone unhappy but all this stalling nothing will ever be achieved otherwise.
