Disposal of Public Open Space land at Newton Farm

Notice of disposal of Public Open Space land at Newton Farm Playing Fields, Hereford

 

The County of Herefordshire District Council intends to grant a Lease of the playing fields, car park and changing rooms at Newton Farm, Hereford.

Anyone know who may have an interest in this scheme and how long the lease will be?

The open space at the south end of GWW.

Presumably the point where the trams would start and finish??

trying to figure this out, it looks like the Shaw walkway the right hand side of the skate park to the Belmont pools which also takes in the football pitches at the top of Newton Farm. the Large area looks like the skate park land but that belongs to Herefordshire Housing. I did hear last September of a group of people that wanted to take over the football pitches and changing rooms at the top of Newton Farm because I asked to be kept informed but have not heard anything until this post.

There was a disposal of land at Northolme Road earlier this year (see public notices) by way of community asset transfer so what is the difference - why lease?

The land at Northolme Road asset transfer is the Northolme centre, car park and I believe the play area (but not sure about play area site) as i said previously, now I have seen the map it does look like the Shaw walkway and the football pitches at the top of Newton Farm.
