Drove past the old Marian fathers place the other day, there was a sign outside for the freedom church, saying the place was under new development or words to that effect…makes me wonder who they will get into do the work? Could it possibly be that pastor Gary snowzell's company Solomon property development???

Bumping this topic, because I believe it's relevant, given the new thread started by Jimbo.

I think the 'big cheeses' live (or did) in two big houses at Breinton not far from the river. Not aware of whether they are owned or rented.

Very interesting, Cambo.

Doing rather nicely, aren't they?

(And a mere 102 days late!)

I guess as there income has increased by a very substantial amount?…I'm sure they would want to make sure they have all the right figures in the right boxes?…after all they don't what to go making any mistakes with sums of money like that??!!
Could be why it's a 102 days late?
After all counting that amount of money is no five minute job?

Yes when you think in  normal churches they just count the collection bag each week.  All this money FC accumulate takes some kind of shuffling about.

Give them time  Cambo they've only just got their foot in the door. The stairway to heaven is a long and winding road.

People in The Freedom Church have included in their profiles (on Social Media) that they want to eliminate pornography

They are targeting the Very young on their Website propoganda .... Obviously they have a money generating model in place .... Successful it would appear ....

An organisation to keep a close eye on I think .....

Hi Roger..... in my early posts, page one of this thread, I said I was concerned because of the positions held, by some members.

This person is not the only one. By a long way!

You're right there DH. I seem to recall some ructions a few years back after the contract for a young persons advice/counselling service was given to a Freedom Church front. It later became apparent that some  of the Council officers responsible for the award had FC links. It looks to me that  the church is using an entryist strategy of the type traditionally practiced by political extremist groups to infiltrate organisations that they want to control for their own ends.

I'm guessing the Freedom Church's copy of the bible doesn't have that story about the rich man, the camel and the eye of the needle in it?

Hi Pete!

If you read through all posts on this thread, all of this has been highlighted! I am really concerned about this, that's why I started the thread.

Honestly, you don't have to do an awful lot of digging, to find just how many worrying links Freedom Church has.

And now, following the elections..... perhaps a good few more.

Please add any snippets of info that you may have..... or pm me if you don't want to post directly on the thread!

Hi Dippy, I suspect my info is already in the public domain, as per your post, but just in case: I believe the contract award was investigated by the Council's audit department circa Autumn 2010 but don't know what the outcome was.

Reading the profiles of FC members it seems to me, if you'll forgive the crude expression, there's a fair amount of p*ss and wind involved: Taking down the giant of pornography. Yeah, good luck with that. Regardless of our individual views on the harmfulness and easy availability of porn I'd suggest that the sheer practicalities of getting rid of it are rather beyond a sect of God-botherers from a provincial English town. Much as I enjoy mocking the happy clapper brigade I'm forced to agree that it's  worrying that this bunch of loons seem to be gaining influence in the county.

Hi Pete, I value your contribution to this thread.

It's a real worry, just how quickly this group is fanning out. Their tentacles are far reaching, and many of their members influential. One senior member,in a recent social media post, has said they are now going into television...... reaching the masses.....

If they were just happy and clappy,I wouldn't have an issue.

But I think there's far more to it than that.....

All part of the plan, Cambo.

See post 29 page 1.

Interesting to note....

1."Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees."

2." The charity is exempt from tax on it's charitable activities."
