What happened to the Housing Infrastructure funding?
Has Harrington lost that as well ?- 1
-
Lets hope they resurface the whole stretch of this road.
-
The position of van is wrong, should be on the end. Also the change of trailer did not help as it looks like its been dumped there.
No proper menu either. -
Pot holes have appeared here yet again in exactly the same place. To my knowledge this will be the eighth time this area of potholes have re appeared
Yet another indication of employing Balfour Beatty who seem to be pretty useless filling holes. -

Ditto the horrific Surgery building ...
Looking better than I thought it would but nothing is as bad as that Premier Inn monstrosity in Blackfriars St though.
-
And now that the water has finally receeded the abysmal state of out pot hole ridden roads is truly shocking.

I went into town yesterday it was empty, everywhere was closing early including the banks, people were stopping in their cars looking at the floods on Greyfriars Bridge, and when I came back to South Wye the Asda roundabout was flooded to about 4ft into Belmont Road. I was told the old bridge was in a state of calapse, consideration was also was being considered to close Grefriars bridge. On the news it was also said the water around Asda was contaminated with suege.
Most of it silly gossip spread through social media Glenda just like the 'its going to rise another 10ft' load on nonsense.

No linked to this subject, but support is needed at 10:00am today (8th feb) outside Town Hall Hereford. Campaign against yet another proposed high increase in CT of 4%. Please support if you feel we are already paying too much in Herefordshire.
Before you start your protest, have a read of this.

Typically badly written and misleading press release from the Council. From the Zap-Map website;
Rapid DC chargers provide power at 50 kW (125A), use either the CHAdeMO or CCS charging standards, and are indicated by purple icons on Zap-Map. These are the most common type of rapid EV charge points currently, having been the standard for the best part of a decade. Both connectors typically charge an EV to 80% in 20 minutes to an hour depending on battery capacity and starting state of charge.
The Council’s current chargers eg at the multi-storey car park are 7kW, which will typically take 4-6 hours to charge, again depending on the battery capacity.
30 minutes is largely useless for the 7kW chargers and drivers will inevitably have to buy a ticket anyway - an hour would have been more sensible. If you can afford an EV, you can afford to buy a ticket!
The charging points at the old market are worse.the system there is so out of date that it frequently trips the electricity supply when someone plugs their car in.New electric charging points were to be installed on the upper deck of the car park 18 months ago.

Lol..Air pollution.
Just goes to show this new shower of crap at the council are clueless.

I read somewhere that 2 bridges are being considered - East and West
East Bridge will end up somewhere around Hampton Park as it won't cross the Lugg flats so the locals will love that.

Most of us will be dead n buried by the time anything is done.
Why not show us you are really keen to aliviate some of the major problems in the City by starting with an easy one John which will cost
nothing at all. Switch them bloody lights off on the Newmarket Roundabout.- 1

Given that there has been a moratorium on planning decisions for any development in the Lugg catchment area since last October, due to saturation phosphate levels, and I understand that the Wye catchment will be added shortly, that effectively means the whole County give or take a few small areas will be a no-build zone for an unspecified period. As it would seem likely that those 6500 houses cannot be built for the foreseeable future, if ever, due to the unacceptable environmental impact on the River Wye, it begs the question as to how the Council would fund the bypass and if it is even needed in its proposed form. The only sensible solution is to cancel it and concentrate on traffic management in the City. We've seen just this evening what happens when the lights are out.
it begs the question as to how the Council would fund the bypass
HIF (Housing infrastructure fund),we are getting a large slice.
Obviously if we don't go ahead with the by pass the HIF would be defunct. -
My prediction for Fridays announcement by Herefordshire Council..The By-Pass will be cancelled .
