untilHereford May Fair Heart-stopping rides, side-shows, food stalls and ancient ceremonies are all part of the street extravaganza which is Hereford's May Fair. The fair has been taking place for over 900 years. The Hereford May Fair takes place on the first Tuesday to Thursday following the May Day bank holiday. In 2018 year it will be held Tuesday 8 May to Thursday 10 May 2018 inclusive. Opening times: Tuesday 3.45pm to 11pm Wednesday 12 noon to 11pm Thursday 12 noon to 11pm These are the times between which attractions are allowed to operate. Not all rides will necessarily be open at all times.

Halfords Hereford Rubbish Responsibility

We have spoken with the store this morning and they are pleased that we have highlighted this issue and we have been reliably informed that Halfords have received quotes for up to £12,000 and are more than happy to pay to have a secure compound for their rubbish but the landlords of the Spur Retail Park are refusing to allow them. So in fairness to Halfords they have their hands tied here, although in the absence of a secure compound, Halfords Hereford are still responsible for the rubbish that is being blown across the neighbouring area and roads, this must be a priority. -

Halfords Store Hereford. Obvious evidence of old wiper blades and empty boxes All this rubbish has again blown down across the car parks and onto Perseverance Road. This is the goods entrance next door at Dunelm, look how clean and tidy their premises are in comparison, this is because they secure their waste products.

This is Halfords rubbish on the Spur Retail Park that has AGAIN blown all across the car park and onto Perseverance Road. There is one odd cage which is open with cardboard in from Hobby Craft next door but 99% of this rubbish belongs to Halfords. We have seen this many times and nothing is ever done about it. Halfords really do need to be aware of their surrounding area and neighbours and secure their waste cardboard and rubbish more securely in a compound. We are aware that environmental services have spoken with them in the past but this is the total mess evident again today. The Hereford Community Clean Up Group only cleaned around this area a few weeks ago, come on Halfords you can do better than this! You have a responsibility to keep your immediate surrounding area clean, we will speak with the store manager today and highlight this issue.

Old Hereford Pics Closes Website We are very sad to learn that Old Hereford Pics website has now come to an end. We have contributed many times and enjoyed all the wonderful photographs over the past 10 years, so thank you Chris for all of your hard work, we know all too well how difficult and time consuming running a busy website is and we appreciate all your hard work. We would like to wish our good friend Chris Adcocks good luck for the future. Here is the statement from Chris:

You’ll get to see, hold and learn about a variety of animals including reptiles, insects, meerkats, armadillos and skunks. Our Easter trail and craft workshop will also be running on these dates. The gardens, castle tours and Orangery are all open as usual during this event. Normal admission prices apply. Please note, castle tours will not be available on the 14th April due to the castle being closed for a private function.
