It's all a con, the place has not even been open 6 months! So these shops have not given it a full year yet, secondly, I was still charged full price for the car park the other night when I was there, so where is the reduction in parking fee's if half the shops are not open??
Excellent point Paul. Why state that your open until 8pm when this is not the case? People will just go to Cribbs Causeway, Cabot Circus or Merryhill because those places are open during the hours stated.

My lad was there at the weekend and had a great time. Nice to have a local club advertising here.

This lovely place has been closed for far too long. Fabulous seeing it open once again and good luck to the new owners, Hereford is the place to be, lets hope that the local council can sort out some late food for us after 1.30am again and put Hereford back on the map!

I have not been along that road for long time, did not realise the pub had even closed. Anyone got a recent photo?

They sell products from many countries, Lithuania, Russia, Portuguese, its a bit of a mix of lots. I do feel sorry for Polish people sometimes because they get the blame for many things that happen and half the time the criminals are not Polish at all.
I remember the murder of the young Mr Loader in the underpass in Whitecross Rd, everyone blamed a couple of Polish guy's when in fact the culprits were Lithuanian. See this article

I am surprised that planning was approved here tbh and personally I think its the wrong decision.

Where are we supposed to keep these bins, I have no real garden to keep them in either and it looks unsightly on the street. No choice here then?
-
There branches are still there, so did the officer actually call on these people?
So you reported this over 3 weeks ago and apparently the officer has been informed and the branches are still there! The person should of received a summons by now in my opinion, especially as this is not the first time.

The pedestrian lights on the junctions being discussed are independent from scoot so making the main traffic lights part time would have no effect on the pedestrian lights.
-
How do you propose to turn off the traffic lights but keep them on for pedestrans, the pedi crossings are integrated into the sequencing of the traffic signals, you can't just turn all the lights back on when a pedi comes along, the traffic will not be expecting it.
It seems most of the traffic lights in hereford are there for the safety of pedestrians and cyclists and are not there for the benefit of mostorists, you are after all encased in steel and therefore less vulnerable than the other road users. I'm still hoping if the traffic gets bad enough more people will walk cycle or bus, maybe thats the councils cunning plan!
Duh! The pedestrian lights would remain operative obviously! Cycle or bus is brilliant but not ideal when you have a van full of tools in order to do your job locally eh.

We drove home via Gloucester last night about 9.30pm and it was lovely to just drive around the roundabouts like in the good old days, the traffic lights were off (part-time) and everything was great, traffic running smoothly. This is a must for Hereford!

I'd like to add that if you're asked to leave the land and you refuse to, you would be trespassing which, whilst not a criminal offence, is a civil offence for which you can be taken to court
That's all that this is, a civil matter and NOT a criminal one.
Have a read through this lot

I was surprised to see that they had cut down and removed this huge ween today, but then I looked again, yes they have cut it down, but why the hell didn't they remove it? Jesus! This is just going to grow again, can't they just complete a job properly for once? How difficult is it? Now they are going to have to go back at some point...
It's only taken them 2 years to remove this from when it was first reported, can't ask for too much now can we.

"Please don't give them money in case they spend it on the wrong things." Just a thought...
I tend not to give money to beggars, the ones who sit in silence have more respect from me, these here clearly want the money for their habit.

More jobs which is good. I cant remember the last time I went into the Hop Pole, something different here, so has to be worth tying out, keep it local!

You are entitle to your opinion as am I but I don't believe its rubbish as most things are payed by people using either a debit card or credit card you can use your phone to pay for things now & also over the internet! Another example is scrape merchants they are no longer allowed to pay using cash unless they give you a cheque first & then cash it for you! You may say that's because of metal theft but that's only part of the reason.
I believe cash will eventually be phased out how long that will be I don't know 10yrs 20yrs or longer???
No now you are moving the goal posts slightly. Paying with cash in the new shopping centre, please explain to me me how on Earth this does not leave a paper trail? When you withdraw cash there is a trail at the bank and when you purchase goods in these stores you are given a receipt. I rest my case.

A local councillior saw them putting the rat poison around the lake last week so it is there.
So which Cllr are you referring too and why did this Cllr do nothing?

I was only watching the kids yesterday evening trying to play football in the long grass, I think one of the parents had created an area for them to play on because the grass had be rolled in an attempt to flatten it for them.

We went to the new cinema last night, it's all very nice but typically high prices for beverages £5 for a hot dog! I am sure they would sell more if they reduced these prices just a little, there is nothing on the ground floor, you have to go up a floor to gain access, otherwise it is really good.

I saw this on the window of the Green Dragon hotel, there is also one in the window of the Queens Arms and I am sure I have seen others, nice eh...
Unfortunately some businesses are short sighted in my view, the Grapes Tavern well done to you.
-
It might be that they would prefer people to use debit & credit cards as the government don't like people using cash as it doesn't leave a paper trail as that way they can make sure they get all the tax in?
That's a load of rubbish! Where on Earth did you get that idea from?

What a joke! Have the council replied at all?
