Colin James
Serious accident on the A49 Ross Road near to the Ship Inn. The accident happened around 7am and there are long tailbacks, which will take some time to clear, even though the road has now be re-opened. Ubique
Thank you Colin for taking the time to report and photograph this RTC . The HT have also published photographs on their story of this RTC. A queue of stationary , a wing mirror , a hole in Union St - did not want to look any further . Aylestone Voice
The emergency services, valuable and essential as they are, do seem to take a perverse pleasure in clearing up rta's as slowly as possible. In this case one person with "minor" injuries went to hospital It seems that every inch of the road has to be inspected and every minute detail recorded What looks like a minor bump and the road closed for almost 3 hours
